I got tickets to see slash March 4th in Detroit. First time seeing him solo since 2014 opening for Aerosmith. Apparently they must’ve canceled the Windsor Canada show and replaced it with Detroit. Thank god. I think the opening band is Plush. All female band I think they are like early 20’s age

i can't stand guns n roses but i always had personal respect fot him, and i admire the optimism for sure, no one truly wants good music to die, the only reason people have been saying things like "good music isn't made anymore" is because there is some truth to it. granted, just as long as good music has existed, so has crappy, disposable music, and a lot of "musicians", especially nowadays just churn out pile after pile of s**t that a mentally challenged preschooler could have written, but it's definitely good to think that's it's never too late to write something worth hearing and listening to while still having it be original, the possibilities are really endless. if you're a fellow musician who's reading this, don't stop making music

It was cool at first but the genre I love for its innovation is becoming stale and repetitive. Every genre has their garbage though. Moder mumble and trap artists, the alt rock that barely qualifies to even be rock,the jazzheads who make overcomplex and dissonant charts because they can. Lot of bad lot of good. Thats just music

Never saw them live (wish I could have), but I saw Danzig in October that year at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco, on the How The Gods Kill tour. Great show; Kyuss and White Zombie opened for him. Danzig shows were fucking epic back then, in true gothic metal fashion.
@@moxy187 Yeah, it was a fun show. Kyuss was good but muddy as all hell, then the sound improved with White Zombie. That was the first I'd ever heard of them and they didn't disappoint. They were a good live band. A little odd to be opening for Danzig, but they pulled it off. For Danzig's show, they started it by playing the first song off his Black Aria album with the stage empty, then they all came out and went straight into Godless. I had center balcony seats right behind the house mixing board; before his set I could see him walking around back stage. The sheer volume was stunning; it actually hurt every time the bass waves hit my sternum. To date, that show is still the best I've ever seen. I've seen Ozzy at the Shoreline and various other bands in clubs, but none of that compares. I was a big G&R fan too; I really wish I could have seen them live at their peak. So many great bands I wish I could have seen live back then.
