I just hope Tom Gores really supports & allows this man to make all the decisions HE wants to make himself. Trajan has a good enough basketball mind and I believe he will right the ship.
Gores said it a couple times he hired a “CEO” and he wants him to run it. I hope this means he’s not gonna interfere with the process

@@cerebralcortechreviews1426 Except those aren’t facts. The franchise was never at risk to be moved unlike Sacramento and the current Oklahoma City Thunder.
Gores got a sweetheart deal to buy an NBA franchise that came with their arena venue included at far below market price at the time. His current arena is mostly financed by the public.
And yes I would say that face-to-face, just as hundreds of people who paid to watch this team last year did as well.
This is just as dumb asf half the 💩 Tom said, team has to much history to be moved, but after the job Tom’s done with the team I can definitely see it happing in a few more year’s, cause who would really care atp.

@@fkm512 no Langdon was his decision. Gores seems to want to let him handle it. He talked about mistakes made in the past, not paying attention to details on the day to day. I think this is a good start.

If there is a human being more full of shit than Tom Gores, I have yet to hear from them. Langdon actually seems okay - here’s hoping Gores gets his magician’s-haircut ass out of the way and lets TL run the show.
Get Buzelis and here is why- He’s a young player that can fit well on our team
He’s a good defender
He’s very athletic/good dunker
He’s clutch (many game winners including all star weekend)
He has the highest potential (was projected #1)
He’s Lithuanian and Europeans run basketball nowadays
He has a good build (kinda like KD)
He’s fast
Good work ethic
Fits well and can easily develop

what do we have to be happy about? we hired a president of basketball operations about a decade too late after the worst season in franchise history that included an NBA record 28 game losing streak. cleaning house and hiring a POBO is the bare minimum, it isn’t something to celebrate.
You must be too young to remember this franchises past. We used to be comparable to the modern day Nuggets or Celtics, and due to that the fans have expectations of what the Pistons should look like, and it’s not what we have seen for the last 10+ years.

Wow, i felt excited and happy Tragan noticed the championship banner of the pistons which i felt thats the core the dna of the detroit pistons. Wow Go Detroit i felt excited for the next season and for the years to come i hope and pray that pistons is playing for the playoffs first from there as everybody prayers hope another championships

Why did this press conference make me dislike Tom Gores even more?
We don't care about your equity firm. We don't care about your philosophy because it hasn't yielded anything.
We want a solid course of action for this franchise and results. I'm not expecting a contender tomorrow, but we need to see steady progress.
I still don't trust Tom Gores man, feel like it won't be long til hes getting in the way of making decisions again just like when he hired Monty

I watched this team build up and get broken down since the first championship years of the 90’s. It can’t get any worse. Laying a foundation of excellence is where things get better, I seen it before and it will happen again for us pistons fans soon. Believe!

Way too much time was spent using buzzwords and not answering REAL questions. Also i wish someone would have asked if they thought they would instill confidence in their fan base by showing up an hour late to the press conference. Then they had the nerve to say how important it is that the entire organization is on time. That is how they’re going to set the standard for winning, by doing everything on time. LOL they actually said that, and nobody pointed out the irony that they were an hour late. What a terrible look for your revamped leadership team. Ridiculous

This dude never deserved the Pistons. The worst owner in the NBA period. Have done alot in the city of Detroit, but as for building a winning culture its been a huge disappointment. The Pistons will always be his little bargain toy.

Matas or Dalton would be the best fits for this team. Build around Ivey, Ausar and Duren. Cade is solid but is he a winning player? I’m not sure. I have to see how he plays for a full season and winning
Dalton is older than cade, duren, ivey, Stewart , Thompson, and almost wiseman.

Talk is cheap, Piston fans are starving for wins and relevance in today’s NBA! Tired of living on past laurels as an organization! We loved the Bad Boys and Going to work Pistons, but it’s time for some drastic changes!
I just hope Trajan aggressive. Our Detroit teams are slow to do anything as far as free agency trades. Yzerman disappointed at the trade deadline and Scott Harris seems to be doing the same.

This press conference was an embarrassment. Langdon seems smart, but the rest is just ridiculously bad. Being an hour late and then talking about the importance of being on time. A joke. And Cade not there. How did that happen? And no head coach and no time table for hiring one with the draft next week. Not good. How can you draft or sign free agents if you don't know who the head coach will be And Tom going on and on without saying anything of substance. He should have passed the microphone to Langdon and said as little as possible. Not a good look. Langdon will need luck. You want to win? Think outside the box. Hire someone like Bill Laimbeer as head coach. That would be a good start. He knows what being a Piston and winning is about. Or hire Becky Hammon. She is one of the best basketball coaches walking the Earth. Ask The Spurs and they'll will tell you how great a head coach she will be when someone gives her a chance.
