I really love this form of your videos. Where it’s calm, voice overs. Motivates me to slow down, get the kids occupied while I bake and cook in a slower pace.
Can you share your wisdom/ experience about your starter? How you feed it. Where you keep it. Have you kept it in the fridge? How does it work, when do you put it in the fridge (before or after feeding)? Would love to learn :)
The dry blueberries in the bagels is genius!! You can get big bags of dry blueberries at Costco. They sell dried cranberries too! I am going to try this. 😊
I use your recipes for sd discard sandwich bread and SD quick discard hamburger buns two to three times a week. Haven't bought bread or buns since July. Thank you for these recipes.😊
Prepping casseroles is so great because then you just pop it into the oven and after some time, bam you have a nutritious meal. I even made stew in the oven this way
I loved it when you said about carrots, "...and to be honest, I really don't do anything for them." 😆I just love your sense of humor! Thank you, Sarah, and God bless your family always!❤🙏🏻🕊
Never made cashew cream before today. I made your exact dip, and wholly moly!! It’s amazing! Nice change from hummus that my husband likes to slather on everything! 😂
Where I live cashews are super expensive. I love them but wouldn´t call that cheap food prep. Apart from that, you made me want to pickle onions again!
Those De Ruijter sprinkels are so good. Did you ever try the red box? Not sure if it is available in Canada but here in the Netherlands we have blue (milk chocolate) and red (dark chocolate).
I’ve followed you for years and years.. since your first channel and I think 3 babies ago?? and I have to say that my love and respect has only grown based on the fact that you started a new page to fit your current life better and with a much lower following, yet you treat it with the exact same integrity that you did your old page. As a prolific TH-cam watcher I can say that this level of genuineness for your content, and love for your followers regardless of your follower size has only made me more of a fan. Thank you. 😊💖
I have to admit I watch content like this to make me feel at peace and content with my life and circumstance. Not bad at all. Sour dough starting…tips or supply suggestions?
I have a really weird query. What would you recommend for people to make as a mama who hopefully has gotten, and a friend who has probably given as food/freezer food for expecting mothers or sick family/friends that need the extra support? I am currently pregnant and trying to decide how to prep meals for myself/husband in advance and my mum has brain cancer (lots to juggle). People recommend making what you like, but currently in this season we're in, making decisions is getting hard. Any great advice or recommendations would be appreciated. My mum has a slow cooker/pressure cooker which can help with prepping dump and go freezer bags that then require limited supervision.
Hi, I'm sorry to read that life isn't easy right now... I hope that the pregnancy is going well and that you're mom will be better soon :) You probably could make casserole that you like or lasagna. It's easy to store, easy to cook and if you freeze those in aluminium trays you could just trow away the dish at the end so no dishes ! Soup would probably be good too, chicken stock and bread already sliced. I know that there is a lot of channels with freeze and dump recipes, you could aslo check them up for ideas !
Do a few “fake cuts.” Haircuts can be super overstimulating for kids. Spraying the hair, dripping water, crinkly cape, clippers, detangling, combing, and scissors! They all make very distinct sounds have a peculiar feeling. Acclimate them. Start with just putting the cape on and combing out their hair. Once they get used to that, spray and comb their hair. Cut the scissors BY their ears but don’t cut the hair. Turn the clippers on. Let them touch the bottom. Show them they won’t hurt. Etc. It can take a few “false tries” but it makes a lot of difference. If screen time is limited - it also helps to have them watch something they enjoy. It doesn’t work as well if they already have a lot of screen time though. I self taught how to cut all 3 of my kids hair, my own, and my husband’s! It takes time but it’s worth it!
I live in BC too, was just a town over from where Sarah lives, at our local grocery store raw organic cashews come in a 1.13kg bag and are $26.99 ($2.39/100g). The non organic ones are 680g for $16.99 ($2.35/100g)
Surprised you don’t like the sour taste of milk and yogurt considering how much sourdough you eat 😂🤔

seriously when do you have the time with so many kids? I have one under one and even if my husband works from home and helps me a lot, I have only a few free hours when I do basic chores. And most of the time that’s after my baby goes to sleep in the evening. I constantly try to do better time manangement but I also don’t want to neglect my baby
She has help, like most influencers. Nannies, a supportive husband, grandparents, cleaners, maids. There's a reason why the kids aren't running around the kitchen and causing chaos.

I mean sourdough has been a thing for hundreds of years, and it got popular during the pandemic for sure. The thing is if you make it at home, it’s a daily thing that you constantly feed and have discard from your starter, so you find lots of ways to use it rather than just throwing it away before you feed it. It’s a cool way to reduce food waste and use a homemade ingredient more often!

Me too! The jazz and her soothing voice.. I find myself suddenly cleaning but without the stress
Me too 😊👍 Some comments suggest her to go back to the old content, but I really do love this new channel 😌 Glad I’m not the only one 😄
great video!! as a mama of 5, I am all about meal prep and I love seeing what other mamas have in their weekly rhythm! 🥰
I have never tried pickling before, but after your simple instructions I think I might have to try it! 😀 Thank you, Sarah!

I just want to come over for a day and try all the things and learn to make all the things
What kind of soap do you use on your floors to mop?
I have been wanting to try your blueberry bagels for a while now!! Thank you for the inspiration ❤

Hey Sarah! When will the pumpkin pistachio muffins be up on the website? I’m really excited to make them!

I actually like carrots 🥕 but pickled sounds delicious too! I have pickled onions and jalapeños , so far!
I made a batch of your picked onion recipe, but I used steiva instead of sugar.
Those sourdough cookies sound
heavenly 🤤
love these, so helpful
hi! would you say this is an average amount of of cooking/prep you would do in a day, or was this a heavy day?
I love your dress! Where did you get it?
Can you pickle eggs like this too? Or just veggies

Chili is a great one!
I need to pickle my carrots to add to my salads , great idea
I love your dress. Do you have a link?
“You pickle it, I eat it” 😂
Did you prep all this in one day?!?
Good Morning!!!!
I would love a video with tips on cutting babies and little kids hair. My 18 month old won’t let me cut his, and I’m desperate
When they’re asleep / distract them with a story, show it baked treat

How much are cashews in the us and canada? Where i live, they're 16 dollars for 1kg (2.2lb), which is very expensive
In my part of Canada (one province over), they are super expensive.

Her husband stays at home and watches them and the older kiddos (aged 8) watches the younger ones
What is it with everyone and the sourdough trend?🧐 I keep seeing it everywhere.

And the health benefits of sourdough are amazing!
NEVER clicked this fast😅
I appreciate the mentality of buying a whole ice cream machine but refusing to buy a KitchenAid lol
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
so much work just for cookies, ice cream, muffins? you could invest this time to prepare for healthy warm foods in winter.
I love your video's ❤ but the way you pronounce 'bagels' drives me crazy hahaha 😂
That’s AMAZING that you don’t show off kids your for profit and to the disgusting people out there that attack children.
