    • @jakel7820
      @jakel7820 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Tate Ramessar lmfao so instead of countering my points you just send me a link to their website? Canada does not protect any other countries, they do not lead in any technical fields, and their healthcare system force anyone who needs minor to major procedures to be put on a waiting list. Sometimes for years. To just get a doctor you need to wait years. Socialized healthcare is only good for little things. And only works when you cut out tons of other things like military spending, foreign aid, and private subsidies to businesses. Along with many other cuts. Canada does not have any of those constraints like the US does. Have you even looked up what you are talking about? Both sides? Look up why socialized healthcare is good and then why it is bad. Ignoring certain facts does not make your argument more credible. Either you are ignorant of them or you are purposefully ignoring them to reject the concept that you could be wrong.

      kcabyats * First and foremost, don’t WASTE my goddamn time with your random shit, and second, you’re a heartless bastard just thinking too deeply about political boloney. Also, I spoke with great honesty so there’s no need for verbal violence or what not. Have a great day, sir. Impressive, every word in that sentence is wrong.

    • @jakel7820
      @jakel7820 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Antonio Reyes lmfao see thats the issue. He uses his kid so that anyone who disagrees with him, people say you are heartless and want the child to die. How about this argument then: nazis were the socialist party, so if you support socialized healthcare, you are a nazi and must hate blacks and jews. There. Accordingly to your standards of argument, i am right. Arguing with insults and emotion is ridiculous and people with an actual mind can see right through it. Or should i just say "if you disagree than you are an uncaring bigot"?

    • @waynefeller8824
      @waynefeller8824 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      kcabyats * - it is an interesting argument. But it falls apart with one simple question: Can I empathise to the point of emoting with someone's loss, even if I disagree with them politically?
      The answer that shows a healthy E.Q. is yes, of course I can. I cried with the parents of Sandy Hook, and other school shootings, even if I disagreed with them on gun control. I can cry at a father's love for his son and his health issues, even if I disagree with a political point he is making about Obamacare, using his son as an example. And I hate Obamacare.
      But the O.P. never said he agreed with the host, only that the situation touched his heart. You assumed that meant he must agree with the host's political view, as if one can only feel empathy if one agrees politically. What a myopic and scientifically inaccurate view.
      Cognitive empathy is in fact, not an emotional response, even if it leads to an emotional external gesture, such as crying. Rather, it is understanding someone's thoughts and emotions, in a very rational, rather than emotional sense.
      Let's use Kimmel as an example. I see a man who is passionate about his son, grateful for the medical treatment his son has received. As a father whose son has medical issues, I can relate. And I cry alongside him, because I am grateful for my own son's health and well being. And I weep for parent's who have lost children to such issues. His arguments didn't sway me to see Obamacare as anything more than garbage. But his emotions and love for his son are something I can relate to, and logical.
      A basic understanding of psychology will tell you that feeling empathy, even for a so-called enemy, is healthy and normal. It is an ability to see someone as human, even when I differ with them. Otherwise, I (read: you) show an inability to see them as human beings, but only as somehow less than human. To refuse to emote because you disagree with their stance also shows an emotional instability that could be colloquially described as heartless, or scientifically as psychopathic. To only feel or cry with those with whom you agree with shows arrested development.
      Let's use your Nazi example, which totally missed the mark. You don't give us a personal experience with which we can relate. Rather, you simply use a tenuous argument. But the OP's original comment was not about agreeing with the host politically. It was about understanding the pain a father feels when his child is sick.
      A better comparison would be the following. After WWII, many Germans were left with too little food, Jews and Nazi sympathisers alike. Many were starving. In spite of the awful things they did, America still empathised. Many Americans cried for both the starving Jews rescued from the Nazis, as well as the German people who were starving post WWII. So, we sent them food and helped them rebuild their infrastructure, WITHOUT giving them the means to rebuild the Reich. We showed empathy to an enemy. This showed emotional maturity as a nation. And by loving our enemy (as the bible commands, and as the bible defines love), we didn't endorse or support their politics. Rather, we simply acknowledged that they were human, even if they did some awful things.

      That clip made me tear up. I know he gets a lot of hate but I'm kinda over it and believe he's genuinely just a guy who wants to make other people laugh. They way he talks about his mom confirms that for me and I loved it.

      @GenesisKnight I don't know man, I guess because he laughs a lot. Like, a looot. But the more I see of Fallon the more I get that he just loves to make people laugh. And how could people hate on people who just want to make people laugh? I don't know.. But I sometimes have to defend that when I talk with friends about him as a host..

    Tip: Dont cut the emotional moments when they last long to 5 seconds of the report, we wanna see it all, you spend more time talking than showing the actual thing. Im not saying you should talk less but you shouldnt just show 5 seconds of a 1 minute emotional video, in every top I see from you with this I have to search on youtube for that clip myself cause you dont show half of it. Im not trying to force you to do it my way but it certainly will help your likes and views if you didnt just show 10% of the actual clip.

      Who wouldn't have been horrified and grief-stricken by the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School? Twenty innocent children murdered in cold blood by a deranged madman just before Christmas is a nightmare that no parent should have to deal with. James Corden gave a very heartfelt monologue about the tragedy at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas on "The Late Late Show" back in 2022. James explained that as a husband and a dad he can't imagine the thought of dropping his kids off at school and kissing them goodbye to only get a phone call later on to inform him and his wife that their children were the victims of a school shooting. Even though I don't have kids myself the tragedies in both Newtown, Connecticut and Uvalde, Texas shook me to my core because these are young innocent little children with so much ahead of them in life and had their lives cut short by deranged individuals who should not have had access to such high-powered weapons. The tragedies at Sandy Hook Elementary School and Robb Elementary School are the first and third times I have cried over the deaths of young innocent children; the second time was when I heard that seven children lost their lives at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, Oklahoma following the EF5 tornado that devastated the city on May 20th, 2013.

    Speaking of 9/11, Letterman's was heartfelt as well; Both summed up what it felt like to be a NYer then. I used to get off the subway and look up to let my downtown co-workers know I was there... which was hilarious because the windows were super small, but I knew where they were (Through our long process of figuring it out). We used to meet up for happy hour downstairs before jumping on the train. Till this day I still look up when I come out of the subway and it hits me that the towers aren't there... I lost both my friends btw. I still couldn't tell you how long I volunteered, how many memorials and funerals I went to.

    The only thing I’m mad about with Jon Stewart’s part on the 9/11 attack is that he didn’t thank the man in the red bandanna. Welles Remy Crowther was a man who dreamed of being a firefighter, and made multiple trips up and down the stairs, all the way to the 102nd floor, and saved the lives of dozens of people from the South Tower before it collapsed. It was unknown if he was alive or not until they found his body mere feet from the exit of the tower, but he hadn’t been trying to leave. He and a couple firefighters had been planning to go back up and save more lives. He, in total, is estimated to have saved the lives of 18 people. He had been a civilian working a white collar job, and he had always wanted to be a first responder. It is fitting that he passed alongside his heroes.
    Welles Remy Crowther(The Man in the Red Bandana), May 17, 1977, to September 11, 2001.
