yes, it is such a lazy design it's mind boggling. The iconography is so dated, so functional and so removed from the theme. And then look a the new objective cards. Literally a huge icon of a mouse...like...really? Could not have put some proper art on those and simply integrated the icon differently? It's hopeless
@@elqord.1118 "desert mouse" is the translation of "muad'dib" (paul atreides), so this is definitely not far removed from the theme. The other icons are crysknives and ornithopters.
@@thomasmuller4716 Yes but look a it? It is a cartoonish looking icon. Why not simply depict a desert mouse (like actually) and have the icon on it for reference? It all just looks completely lazy to me
I'm not 100% sure, but I think everything they showed was just the expansion. Guessing there's so much stuff that it looks like the whole game because they're adding provisions for 2 extra players + the expansion.
Long gone are the days when a board game was a self contained whole experience: Puerto Rico, Twilight Struggle,, Caylus, Euphrat & Tigris, and even more recent games as Gaya Project, never needed an expansion. They were just FINE! We're living in a world where a base game stands up for about a couple of years and then it becomes obsolete! We're in the era of HYPER cult of the new, HYPER hype-rules-everything and HYPER blind consumerism. Long gone are the good old days... I mean, I bought D:I plus its expansions this same year! WTF! 🤬 The majority of board game publishers are money grabbers these days! 😡😤🤬
How does this take anything away from the original D:I which stands strong even without Ix and Immortality expansions. let alone Uprising. It's a great game on its own and it's up to you to keep playing it or move on to Uprising
It’s about time the iconography (especially for the soldiers) gets updated

Why didn't they make an organizer inside the box ?
Boy would I love the ability to play any flavor of Dune Imperium at 2 players without having to have a dummy player. Just throwing that out there.
possible of selling only board and cards as expansion for players who own original game?

They need to make money 😭
The only thing they'd be able to take out is the wooden components and resources. Everything else is new.
deluxe upgrade pack ?
That wasn’t/isnt for sale as far as I know either!
I didn't recieve the wooden pieces for 5th and 6th player. Are they not included?
How's it gonna play out together with cards from the original game + Rise of IX and Immortality addons?
They have sections I. The rulebook that go over how to combine each of them. You can search Google and check out the rulebook for more info.
Why does the game not ship with proper inserts? It's kind of sad to see that such a great game gets such a disorganized box
Unfortunately, the quality of parts, game box, board, etc. is very low, both the old version and the uprising.
Can’t wait
Why are your rulebooks the size of the box? So annoying and impractical.
….What? Never heard of that being a problem?
@maximalDruck as someone who loves to optimize and or 3d print better and more compact cases a massive rulebook is major pet peeve
I enjoy the rulebooks in that size
@@macsucktwicejust use PDF then 😅
Just an objective problem.
