How many songs from today will hold up 40-50 years later? The 70’s had such great music from multiple genre’s. We who grew up in that decade were lucky.

    Another excellent choice!! 😊
This song reminds me of the soulful sounds of Hall and Oates...Sara Smile and Rich Girl in particular, some of their early hits among many. 😅
Harry Hamlin was the actor who played Perseus in the Ray Harryhausen movie Clash Of the Titans. I love all of Harryhausen's movie such as Jason and The Argonauts as well as the Sinbad movies like The Golden Voyages of Sinbad or Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. 😅
Clash of the Titans was released in the States on June 12, 1981 and in the U.K. on July 2, 1981. 😂

Most of their stuff is 80's but the two songs I posted are mid to late 70's. Rich Girl was released in 1977 and Sara Smile in 1975. 😊
Mark hearted my post so cross your fingers that he gives one of them a listen. 😅

Great song! Wow. Played this on vinyl, on my inexpensive record player. Also heard it on the radio as I was driving to school. I’d sing it as loud as I could in the car. Full of emotion - usually because I had broken up with my boyfriend. A teenage girl with a broken heart - 💔. There’s nothing like those teenage loves. I’m sitting on my bed singing it out loud right now. Damn. SMH

Just found you a few days and have been binge watching, especially the Pink Floyd reactions. It's so great to have a young man getting into and loving the music us "old" folks grew up on. This is a true blast from the past. It's soft rock at its finest. Other bands to check out is Orleans, Bread, Seals & Croft, 10 cc, Paper Lace, Steely Dan, and so many others. Don't worry what other may have said, if you're digging the sound, let it out, baby brother.

You've got to do Al Stewart, "Year of the Cat:, from the 70s. Perhaps the quintessential soundtrack of that decade. Half a century laterl and I still love it. I recommend a live version, but you do you. You will have a reaction like your first Pink Floyd. Different style, but same amazement. Love your videos, brother!

Fun fact: In the mid 70’s, same time this song was a hit, there was, coincidentally, a doll for little kids that walked!! called Baby Come Back. So while the teens and young adults were movin and a’groovin to this amazing song, the lil kids were being blown away by this new doll technology. I highly recommend googling the ads. 😊

Staxx Records had great sound s out of Memphis, then there is The Philadelphia Sound very big 70’s - 80’s, some LIVE performances by James Brown are so much fun The best dance moves by James Brown, it will make you go crazy ! Then Santana who made the world take notice with their incredible Woodstock performance 1969, & their career was on it’s way! A few other bands RUSH, THE GUESS WHO, APRIL WINE, 10CC, CCR, FRANKIE VALLIE & the Four SEASONS were very popular😻 Your trip has just begun 🤩

You know I'm a huge fan of the channel but of course the 60s and 70s being my favorite decades musically although I like stuff from every decade including right now, I feel like with only a week per decade you only get to do a handful, but you're tending towards the more soft stuff.
These are incredible songs and they have their place and they are each amazing in their own right, but what about some bangers like Fox on the Run by the British band Sweet, in the mid-70s. It dominated radio play and so many people had it on their cassettes that they were just brand new and people were making compilations for road trips and such.
A bit of Glam Rock there on the two main videos that are available of them doing it to the studio track, I know you would absolutely love it.

Omg!!!! I thought I loved you but that sweater is another level of awesomeness, Mark ❤😂 OH, the original Clash of the Titans was in the early 80's I think. But Harry Hamlin looks like that guy for sure. You're correct.

My Young Friend. This song had just come out on the radio right when I had my first heartbeak in my senior year 1978. It haunted me and still does. Every time I hear it, it takes me right back there like it was yesterday. I love every minute of what you are doing, my friend. Keep going. You might want to put A System of a Down "BYOB" in your 2000 week. You might die but you will have a smile on your face at the funeral.

American blue eyed soul at it's best. Try Hall and Oates (America's greatest blue eyed soul duo) doing "Sara Smile", "She's Gone", "One On One", and "Rich girl, The Young Rascals (America's greatest blue eyed soul band) doing "Lonely Too Long", "Groovin' ", "Good Lovin' ", and "A Girl Like You", then try Ambrosia doing "How Much I Feel", and "Biggest Part Of Me" for more blue eyed soul goodness.

You're thinking of Harry Hamlin in Clash of the Titans, and the movie came out in 1981.
As for music, the 70's were absolute fire. Second only to the 80's for me.
Another 70's artist is love to see a reaction for is Gary Wright (RIP). His huge hit was Dream Weaver, but I'm way more a fan of his jam Love Is Alive.
Check him out. You won't be disappointed.
