+Andrew Harper Sheed was always a problem for my Spurs too. Only guy in the league that could consistently guard Tim Duncan really well. I don't think Portland was afraid of the Lakers though, they just hated them so much that if the whistle went badly against them they'd go crazy. Poor Sabonis was like the only dude that never lost his mind on that stacked team. They definitely should have won at least one ring.

+Andrew Harper I agree. You could see the fear in Sabonis' eyes everytime Shaq got the ball. Sabonis knew he was going to get an elbow to the face every time. They let Shaq get away with murder back then with the elbows. Nowadays if he was throwing those elbows, it'd be a technical every time.

As someone on reddit said, “Wallace is interesting, because he's like Shaq in that he never had a "prime" per se. He came into the league as an athletic freak and coasted the rest of the way.
The thing to know about Wallace was that he was 6'11" and a track star. He ran a quicker 40 than Lebron. Just an incredible athlete at 6'11" with even longer arms.
Now take that athleticism and couple it with great fundamentals. Wallace could reliably shoot out to the 3 point line, had great hands and post moves (especially this trick where he just held the ball over his head and could go into his shooting motion with no wind up, it was unblockable). He could even dribble.
That said, Sheed was an incredible turd where-ever he went. Sheed had the physical and mental talent to be at least the greatest PF of all time. Instead he alienated coaches, didn't practice and set technical foul records. Just a tremendous waste of talent.”

+Wilson Fisk I agree that he was cheated. The refs were rigged back then. They let Shaq throw elbows all over. The NBA from 1999-2003ish was a circus act. They let Shaq run around like a gorilla on the court, and it was a disgrace to the sport. I remember Sabonis taking at least 3 elbows to the grill in one game alone that should have been called offensive fouls.

He's the GOAT of shit talking and technical fouls / game ejections for sure. Didn't Ben Wallace take on Artest to start the greatest NBA brawl of all time?

Peter Griffin he was just sometimes too inconsistent. On his best day, he could match any HOF PF.

Don't question his drive, he was just the ultimate team player. Took a back seat offensively to Billups and Hamilton to win.

Prime rasheed was a legit force.
One on one post-ups, he's probably top 4 in the 2000s.
Only behind shaq, duncan, and garnett - which is no joke, those are arguably top 10 bigs of all times.

Rasheed was like the bear you didn't want to poke/provoke, he'd get into a zone and was virtually unplayable. He could make that short little jump hook, jumpers from the elbow & FT line or even a 3. Guy was all heart, loved it

ive been a pistons fan since i was 9 years old. sheed was my favorite player growing up when he was in portland. i dont think theres too many people in the world that ever had the experience of having your favorite player being traded to your favorite team and then seeing them win a championship. there will never be another team like that 04 squad. memphis tried but there was no comparison.
