    Very helpful indeed! I've just bought a disassembled 1996 Blade that I'm trying to put together, which is like doing a jigsaw without the picture to go by, so this has been very very helpful

      I am glad it has been of help to you. There is only one thing worse than trying to put something back together without having taken it apart. It's when you strip something and they put it together wrong last time and you don't spot it! This has happened to me a couple of times.

      And I'm finding many many things wrong, but mostly its missing lots of bolts and brackets! I'm watching your other videos with great interest 😁

      Hi I'm from the US and currently working on a 98 cbr 900rr I just bought.... I rebuilt the carbs and currently have issues with the petcock. Finally I broke the only key I had trying to close the gas tank... waiting on an ignition replacement set I just bought from ebay( hopefully it works).

    Did find out what rattling noises when you ride the bike in the fairing sort of noise because mine has it as well

    • @SPANNERRASH
      @SPANNERRASH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it was some missing fasteners, and the headlight mounting spigots were broken off. If you watch the later video where I put the fairing back on I show how I fixed the broken mounting spigots. Good luck with sorting yours.

    Hello and thanks for the great videos, If possible could you tell me what the black plastic round pegs are called that the screws to the fairing screw in to on the front fairing and were to get them from, I think they go in to approximately a 10mm hole, many thanks Denny

      I think you might mean these ebay.us/xS0veJ you will have to check the size though to make sure they will fit your bike.

    Do you know the size of the bolt that goes through the middle underneath the little light on fairing

    • @SPANNERRASH
      @SPANNERRASH  ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont know the size, but it is a pretty specific fastener so you may have to buy the Honda part if you want it to look OEM.

    i got a 1994 sc28, do you know if the fairing of a 2001 fits on the 1994? i like the looks a lot more

    • @SPANNERRASH
      @SPANNERRASH  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry I can't say yes or no to that. It will not be a straight fit at all but if you really wanted to it can probably be done. I suspect it would take a lot of other changed parts, such as headlights, brackets just to start. And as an added bonus your bike would probably go down in value :) I would sell the '94 and buy an '01 myself. Good luck.

    Hello, i was wondering.. I have taken my tank off of my cbr and there isn't any fuel coming out of the fuel pump in any of the 3 modes, is this right and does it only work under vacuum or something? Or is my fuel pump then clogged up or broken? Thank you in advance

    • @SPANNERRASH
      @SPANNERRASH  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found that the tap wouldn't let any fuel through unless there was vacuum on the pipe that goes to the bleed from the carb. I actually sucked on the tube to give it vacuum, but I don't recommend doing this as it probably rots your lungs. I hope this helps.

    I have a clanking noise when i first start my bike only for a few seconds then after that I can start it and the noise isn't there it's onl
    y the first ever start and the noise is like a slight clanking from the engine

    • @SPANNERRASH
      @SPANNERRASH  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it is litterally when you first press the starter it sounds like the starter clutch might be giving you an issue. it is on the left as you sit on the bike behind the cylinders see if the noise is coming from there. They are a part that can cause an issue on a lot of bikes. There is a video of mine showing it on a CB750. They aren't too difficult to replace, and can be noisy for a while before they fail completely, but I wouldn't ignor it on a bike without a kickstart :)

    I hope you receive this message.I have a CBR900RRW and I am having trouble with it stuttering/not running properly above 4-5000rpm. It starts and idles perfectly. The carbs have been professionally cleaned and inspected and there was no obvious problems,so I am ruling out fueling. The problem remains on a auxhilary fuel supply as well.Have you had any experience of this issue?.

    • @SPANNERRASH
      @SPANNERRASH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I have had a good think about this. From what you say the carbs have been looked at. Was this because of the problem, or did it start after? Also did this problem come on slowly or quickly which would be a bit of a guide. Quickly, probably electrical. Slowly probably fuel or mechanical. The first place I would start is with the carbs. If it started after the carb refresh then it is definitely these. Either something missing or connected up wrong. This kind of problem can be caused by, vents for the tank or float chmbers being partially blocked, or the fuel filter or tank outlet being partly blocked. If you replaced any parts look there first, unfortunately new parts can often be wrong, frequently because they are counterfeit! Plugs (I assume you have changed) etc. Also corrosion on wiring connectors, especially for the kill, clutch and sidestand switches, sometimes causing pretty random running problems. Lastly I would suspect, valve clearances, head gasket or ECU. Good luck, and please do let me know when you have found the issue.

      Thanks for your reply. The carb rebuild was done to try and resolve this problem, but no difference. The pet stop fuel tap and filter have been replaced.No difference,it has the same issue on a independent fuel supply.
      Now,today I am picking up a new set of spark plugs,I thought they weren’t very old but on investigation they are about 6000mls old.
      On inspection they were clean (electrodes) but had a yellow/weak spark so fingers crossed that may be the issue.I’ll let you know.
      Keep the videos coming,there very informative.Thanks again.

      Hi.So I replaced the spark plugs today and the bike is running better.I can take the revs to the red line on a smooth progressive throttle but it is hesitant if I give it the beans!!.I haven’t installed the airbox yet could that be the cause?.

    • @SPANNERRASH
      @SPANNERRASH  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DavidAnderson-cbr900 it won't help if the airbox is off. I would try that asap. I would still check all of the electric connectors that impact the ignition. If the sparks weren't good it could be that there is high resistance somewhere that will affect the plugs over time. Good luck.
