Im subscribed 😊 I live in Western Australia and go to Rotto often , but never stayed at Samphire , the campground is good 😂😂. Damn it rained for you ? It rarely rains on the island . It can be pouring in Perth and sunny as on Rotto.
Thanks so much Lin! We have heard the campground is a good option. It only rained in the morning, luckily we had a day of sunshine the day before although go it was breezy!!
Last time I went to Rotto was in 1988 and I live in Fremantle. I also remember riding around the Island as a 15yr old and it nearly killed me. It is very hilly. It looks nice now. All they had were the chalets and two tent sites.
Great video! Perth usually has such consistent weather the sunniest place in Australia , you were unlucky with the weather by the sounds of it and on Rottnest :( it’s such a stunning place on a spring or summers day Looks like you still loved it though !
Technically if you want to go as far west as in Australian owned land then Christmas island is as far west as you will get. That's up near Indonesia near Jakarta. That's where we catch and keep the boat people coming from there.
Agreed, Rottnest is absolutely stunning! Ahhhh that’s a hard question, we love both for different reasons. We absolutely love Freo and the beautiful beaches Perth has and that it’s so chill but we do sometimes miss the hustle and bustle of Sydney haha! What do you prefer? :)
Next stop West is actually South Africa, Walker Bay is fractionally lower South than Rottnest/Perth. Singapore is North with Indonesia in between. Steep Point is the most Westerly point of the Australian continent, there and further North is the place to be in an Australian winter, Exmouth and Broome as bases. The most Western part of Aus is Christmas Island, also out there Cocos-Keeling Islands are brilliant.
The best video, I will travel soon over there
Rotto is a great place but expensive, are you going down south or up north next, love you video keep them coming 👍
Thanks Peter! We’ll be doing a bit of both for the rest of the year

Bet it’s very different now! Definitely recommend the electric bikes if you go back 😊

Thanks so much! The rain was unfortunate but we had a nice sunny day the day before at least!
Just gives us a reason to go back and see it again 😄

Ah man - I used to work at that holiday. Rottnest Island is soooo beautiful I hope you had an amazing time. Do you prefer Perth/WA or Sydney/NSW? :)
