Thanks Master Tool Repair. I spent at least a half hour trying to get this belt on my air compressor was having one heck of a time. After watching your video it took me less than 2 minutes. This video saved me a lot of time and added aggravation.
I called Husky and they sent me the belt for free, but after 2 weeks it snapped again. I made sure I didn't damage it with the screwdriver during installation too, I don't know if the OEM belts are usually faulty like that but I'm gunna try an aftermarket one now and if it lasts more than the OEM one did I'll post it here....Thanks for the video too.
Thanks I was catching hell until I seen this video.I just new it had to be a better way.An I really needed it for tomorrow.trying to finish up this job.before RAIN.keep posting
Got it on by putting an 18 socket over the pulley then pushing the flywheel round forcing the belt on (the socket prevented the belt from slipping off)
Jerry Thompson To remove the screws from the Shroud/Cover, use 5 mm Allen bit with 6” extension. Make sure they're completely loose, then the shroud [should] be able to be removed relatively easily.
