Willing to bet that fence was made in the 80's, the reason I come to that conclusion is it is made of railroad ties. In 1980 the Staggers railroad act was enacted and led to the decline of the railroad and a lot of low used and light destiny lines were to be tore out. When this happened they were literally giving away railroad ties, I know this because my dad was bringing them home everyday by the truck loads, this was 1983. 1984 my brother and I built MILES of fence the whole summer and we dug all of the holes by hand and placed the RR ties in and tamped them in by hand. Alot of work but many of them still stand today, only ones tore out are due to row crop farming.
So if I understand the winder is homemade by your design? You need to copy right. I am so jealous of that toy. I am on 4 th run of fence this year and 7-8 rolls of wire. All of my line fence and heavy pastured fence is 5 barb ,4 point on 6 1/2 foot post. Next year is my half of line fence on 160 acres and several 500 ft runs of pasture fence
Whoever made that fence wire puller thing should consider themselves the Albert Einstein of Bobcat accessory fabricators. I'm truly honoured to witness such greatness 🚜 🎉
Actually i mentioned it to them awhile back before they even thought about making one, the first one didn't work so well, and cole figured it out and made it work great, Cole you should patent that awesome wire wonder, you would be a millionaire in know time, people with common sense can make things just by thinking about how to make it, I have made plenty of things for tools, because I couldn't afford the tools I wanted to buy, so I made them to work for what I needed it for. I think if you looked back to when I first started watching you and your father, I said something about making that wire winder, but I might be wrong, I know I said to weld a pair of vice grips to either side of the wheel so that you could anchor the wire to it, but then it wouldn't fall off easier than it does now. Cole is a very smart man and he definitely has common sense and his dad Brian is the real Boss of the farm animals. He learned from experience from his parents, I really like watching every video and I enjoy the father/son sense of humor and they are very hard working men. God bless you all🙏🇺🇸🍻
Those old metal fence posts are really cute for gardens spray painted in yellow, pink, red, blue, purple, and orange, old tires stacked up to make a snowman if you paimt them white...
Cole, my brother told me about his neighbor who wanted to jack up his barn because it was so low his mule hit his head on the loft. My brother suggested he dig a trench for the mule to enter the stall. The neighbor said his ears were to long, not the legs..... I believe your skid steer will go in the barn. I really like your videos, first on my list to see. Have a great day!
Demoed a 4050 back in the day when they were new,had little field day at the old farm back in the very early 90s. Dad wasn’t a green man at all $$ 😂 nice tractors. Thanks MEN !!
Get out of putting up a Christmas tree with your beautiful wife?? Garage doors can wait. Bring on the tree! Seeing Brain moving equipment is always so satisfying. That little excavator in the right hands can deliver fantastic results! Those old tractors will run forever. But the cab goes a LONG WAY in winter. Especially up north! The snow is otw!!
The 4020 sounded like it's in good shape. Some one will get a good tractor. Brian and Cole you know what you need to do for operation! Have a good day.
I was raised on John Deere 2 cylinders. The 4020 was the first multi cylinder JD that I operated while working part time for a neighbor. You guys sure have a lot of farm and ranch toys. Stay warm up there. 60 degrees here in AZ this morning. Peace!
Thanks for another great video Cole. It was interesting. I like the new pieces of machinery you and dad got and that new bucket for the payloader. Both are nice units. That small digger you got will be a handy unit to have. Good shopping guys. Good work on the fence line Cole and Brian. Really like that wire winder you made Cole. Nice work. Thanks for the song of the day Brian. That is a super song. Thanks. Good teamwork on the fence line. Nice work. Like to go machinery shopping myself. Nice units you got there. Thanks for everything Sonne’s. You both take care and be safe. Thanks. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I have been watched you both for two years now i have a blast watching you two guys i have watched all youre videos i am watching you now keep the vifeos comming thanks guys😂
Cock-a-doodle-do! Love the fence winder and enjoy your new equipment. Someday it would be great to have an overview of your property layout as the old building sites are very interesting. Cheers to your great content!
Another great video as always. Whoever invented that WireWinder must be a millionaire!! Surprised Deere didn’t invest in that yet? It actually was a great tool you made and makes the job so easy. Always enjoy watching you and your pops work together, Don’t ever take those days for granted my friend. 👍
The wire winder may well be the best farm implement ever!! Saves an enormous amount of time and reduces injuries to almost nothing. Almost. And The Byrds? Excellent!
Cole there’s another way to get out of helping with the Christmas tree just put everything where she doesn’t like it and proclaim that’s the perfect place and she’ll run you out of the room. When she ask how does it look when she’s finished you admit she was right on the placement of everything and she’ll forget all about all your misplacements of the lights and ornaments. It’s worked for 41 years so far.
A year ago to the day my garage door springs broke and the tech told me to lube them once a year. You can rest easy knowing I did in fact watch until the end and I did in fact just order some lube. Entertaining and informative today 😂
A girl chicken farmer said to me once. "If I was a chicken that would be my cloaca". I had to look it up but I never forgot the word. It sounds a bit more challenging than the other word.. She farms turkeys now but I'm sure they are the same. You can never lament the time it took to design and build the wire baller. Twenty years on you will smile using it. Good video. Pax.
The JD 4020 was one of the best all around farm tractors of its time. I can see why it was a hard decision for Brian to let it go. The wire winder you made Cole is just brilliant! I think you should apply for and get a patent on it. Then sell the mfg rights to Bobcat, or a short line equipment mfg. I think it is very marketable. And I hope you make and share some videos of your “new to you” mini excavator. I am looking forward to seeing all of the ways you use it in the near future.
As l was watching you pull out the staples from the post I couldn’t help but think that even if you dropped some they will certainly show up in your drill disk openers twenty years from now.
The wire winder you made Cole is awesome and sames you much time. Would have enjoyed listening to the man talking about the bucket but the wind made it impossible. Great video as always Thanks Cole and your Dad as well.
Such a shame that wire winder will never working considering all the use you've gotten out of it. I am not only impressed by the how well it works and how well you built it, but also how wrong those haters were! I love seeing both!
I couldn’t ever get over the rock fence post that are up in that area. I seen them when I was in the area hunting 10 yr ago. I couldn’t ever imagine setting and cutting those all those years ago
One day, a channel collaboration with the pond guys. Save and stockpile your boulders and rocks. Your deck edge over a natural bass/swimming pond with childcproof fencing. Great farm additions.
Those attachments really save a lot of time with your fencing. Kinda like the old 4020 when I was on the farm that was a great tractor. Like the excavator and bucket. Take Care and Be safe on the farm. Out
What a time saver that wire winder is! Great design, great build. Lots of good things about it but the unloading has to be one of the best. Can't imagine having to try to remove a bundle by unwinding or cutting it out. Your system works great. Enjoy the new toys, or tools...they will be productive on the farm. I'll miss the 4020 as I like the style but hard to choose open station over a nice cab tractor.
I bet you dad wished he had a wire winder. years ago. It worked perfect today. ! My grandfather did it the old fashion way . Look at the time you save by making that wonder.
Some nice equipment there. I wish I had the trac hole, I have some water lines to run for my cows. I think that wire roller is an awesome piece of equipment. Love what y'all are doing, have a good evening!
T poost cool (moor like cold outside) Love your channel ......you and Pops are awesome..... Keep those songs of the day rolling !!!!! Brian knows Great music Cole
I’m really surprised that you haven’t gotten any snow yet. We had 3” Saturday in NW Oklahoma. Have you ever tracked how many feet/miles of fencing you put up or take down each year??
Oh I hate to see any Deere 4020 go, I loved the one we had, it was a work horse on the farm doing almost anything. The only time I was not fond of it was in the winter, as we did not have a cab on the one we had.
Sorry to see the 4020 go but use is important, if you're going to have it might as well use it. Turn, Turn, Turn.... Straight out of Ecclesiastes. Great song!!
A hyd thumb would make that mini, a much more useful machine. They add a lot of convenience to grabbing stuff. Also a smooth edge bucket would be great for ditching.
Did the "Birds" band sing Tern, Tern, Tern, or turn turn turn? Whichever, it was a feather in their cap.🤣 Brian, by spot on do you mean on the windshield? Stop me or I'll keep going...
Would love to get a mini excavator, so many uses and attachments for them. not a critique and you might have done it and not shown but when loading and unloading you can spin it around so can drive forward on and off instead of backing it
Great video. It looks like you have made some improvements on the wire winder. The guides out front and some of the slop is gone from the spool. If that was in a video, I missed it. It works well, thumbs up 👍

The wire winder gets a massive A+ today. Loved it. Enjoy the new toys!

I was going to say it really has paid for itself. Takes a terrible job and makes it so easy
Whoever made that fence wire puller thing should consider themselves the Albert Einstein of Bobcat accessory fabricators. I'm truly honoured to witness such greatness 🚜 🎉
Cole made it. The whole process is in several videos from a while back.

That wire winder looks like the best thing since sliced bread.
Those old metal fence posts are really cute for gardens spray painted in yellow, pink, red, blue, purple, and orange, old tires stacked up to make a snowman if you paimt them white...
I’m a fan of some farms
I mean sonne farms
OK - that wire winder is super slick. Nicely done.
You must be so proud of the wire winder that you built! Brain is happy to not have to mess with the mess! New toys for the boys !
I love watching the fencing, glad there's more to come!---The song of the day is from my teenage years!
I am sure Cole greatly appreciated your $10 gift as well!
That wire winder works great! 😊 if my memory serves me correct, A fine intelligent young man came up with that wire Winder! ❤😊
You and your dad make amazing farming videos
That woven wire wind was wonderful!
Yes, it was a cold morning decision to let the 4020 go.
Awesome video and toys. Thank you and Mr.B. great job guys
The 4020 sounded like it's in good shape. Some one will get a good tractor. Brian and Cole you know what you need to do for operation! Have a good day.
The wire winder, One of your better creations, Cole.
With the amazing features of the wire winder, you must give it a number after the name. Wire winder 100, wire winder 1000, etc. Nice machine!
I was raised on John Deere 2 cylinders. The 4020 was the first multi cylinder JD that I operated while working part time for a neighbor. You guys sure have a lot of farm and ranch toys. Stay warm up there. 60 degrees here in AZ this morning. Peace!

Steve.

GREAT VLOG ...
GBY ALWAYS 🙏❤️💙💖💙🐕...💙🤗✝️
That wire winder is a beast. Actually copied it but got it on a 12t digger or tractor and eats netting fence well. Cheers Cole. 👍🏻🔧🍻👍🏻🇳🇿

Brian, another great song choice, an oldie but a goodie still. ❤

The thought of selling my 4020 brings a tear to my eye, it may be old but it still cuts and bails like a champ.
Thank you Sonne farms!!
Another great video as always. Whoever invented that WireWinder must be a millionaire!! Surprised Deere didn’t invest in that yet? It actually was a great tool you made and makes the job so easy. Cole made the wire winder. And designed it too!!
I remember watching him build it👍

Love the song of the day
Very meaningful song for us baby boomers
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
Xmas & Thanks Giving rolled into one...
Having a bff who owns a farm inplement biz must come in handy ...
A year ago to the day my garage door springs broke and the tech told me to lube them once a year. You can rest easy knowing I did in fact watch until the end and I did in fact just order some lube. Entertaining and informative today 😂

Glad to see you have phone service there to that old house
You did a damn good and excellent job with that wire winder. I can't imagine doing that by hand. You make great tools that work.
Smaller excavators can go places and do things bigger ones can't, like dig across a road instead of only down it.
The JD 4020 was one of the best all around farm tractors of its time. I can see why it was a hard decision for Brian to let it go. The wire winder you made Cole is just brilliant! Equipment.... One piece at a time. Great Video...
Hello nice work on the fence and looks like a great purchase expensive tools that are needed. Have a great day.
That wire winder looks really awesome! Neat little excavator you got.
That barb wire retriever works slick as s$%#
Man new toys are great !! Especially with enclosed cabs ! A wider smooth edge bucket for the mini would be very useful !!
Awesome attachment for the loader
As l was watching you pull out the staples from the post I couldn’t help but think that even if you dropped some they will certainly show up in your drill disk openers twenty years from now.
Wow I love that winder!!! What a great time saving device!!!! And unloading the wound up wire is great too!!! What a great invention you made Cole!!!
The wire winder you made Cole is awesome and sames you much time. Would have enjoyed listening to the man talking about the bucket but the wind made it impossible.
Great video as always Thanks Cole and your Dad as well.
GOOD JOB!.... AWESOME CONGRATS!
Love them 4020s. I wish I had a need and a place for a couple! Great show.
That wire winder is wonderful. I recall when you made it. It took awhile but think of the time it saves. 😊
I hope you patented your’Wire Winder’! It’s a thing of beauty!
Nice early Christmas 🎁 !
What are you going to excavate first ?
Such a shame that wire winder will never working considering all the use you've gotten out of it. I am not only impressed by the how well it works and how well you built it, but also how wrong those haters were! I love seeing both!
Wow u guys went on a shopping spree congrats some fancy toys to play with
Gotta love new toys!
Man. That would be a hard decision to sell the 4020. Iconic tractor.
I couldn’t ever get over the rock fence post that are up in that area. I seen them when I was in the area hunting 10 yr ago. I couldn’t ever imagine setting and cutting those all those years ago
TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO COLE AND BRIAN 😊
Wow! What a wonderful wire rolling machine!
Did you come up with the wire winder.Good job guys
nope, copied another farmer that built one
Well if yall get half the use yall have gotten out of the big loader it will be well appreciated on the farm.
Have fun stay safe.
Nice upgrade on the farm, can still do lots of things with a mini excavator and in the future you can always upgrade to a bigger one
Hope you have a patent on the wire winder. that thing is sweet.
Do you think he invented it?
I agree you could make money on that idea.
Another fine video Cole! That fence wire dohicky is better than sliced bread!! Stay warm!
Congrats on the new to farm equipment!!
One day, a channel collaboration with the pond guys. Save and stockpile your boulders and rocks. Your deck edge over a natural bass/swimming pond with childcproof fencing. Great farm additions.
Always nice to have Christmas Earley. GOD BLESS
Those attachments really save a lot of time with your fencing. Kinda like the old 4020 when I was on the farm that was a great tractor. Like the excavator and bucket. Take Care and Be safe on the farm. Out
You will love that mini ex, I purchased a Kubota KX 033 with a cab and angle blade, they are a beast!!
Pretty cool video! Glad yall got some new to you stuff to use on the farm.
Awesome video Cole. Glad to see the wire winder up and going again. 🚜🚜🚜
Another great song of the day - Turn, Turn, Turn!!!
Merry Christmas! Ride Em'
For yalls operation I would think couple sizes bigger excavator def be better once you start using it it's amazing how handy they truly are
T poost cool (moor like cold outside) Love your channel ......you and Pops are awesome..... Keep those songs of the day rolling !!!!! Brian knows Great music Cole
Yippee yahooo. Nice looking machines. Thank you for the song. Peace to you.
I’m really surprised that you haven’t gotten any snow yet. We had 3” Saturday in NW Oklahoma. Have you ever tracked how many feet/miles of fencing you put up or take down each year??
Have had a few dustings
Your wire winder is working great! I remember when you built it. Great job Cole. Another Father and Son Sonne teamwork video!
Oh I hate to see any Deere 4020 go, I loved the one we had, it was a work horse on the farm doing almost anything. The only time I was not fond of it was in the winter, as we did not have a cab on the one we had.
Nice mini-ex Cole & Brian, I've spent many happy hours running one. On a side note Cole, what's up with your Bobcat TrackSteer?
4:04 Look at that sky! Nice.
The JD 4020 is classic tractor!!! You guys need a good size shop..
Awesome equipment upgrades! 👍👍👍👍
That song reminds me of the movie birds from early 70s
Sorry to see the 4020 go but use is important, if you're going to have it might as well use it. Turn, Turn, Turn.... Straight out of Ecclesiastes. Great song!!
That works so slick thanks for sharing this video stay safe up there ok
A hyd thumb would make that mini, a much more useful machine. They add a lot of convenience to grabbing stuff. Also a smooth edge bucket would be great for ditching.
The mini would be great for running those new water lines you said you needed to run for those pens yor gonna be adding soon🎉❤🎉😂😂
Did the "Birds" band sing Tern, Tern, Tern, or turn turn turn? Whichever, it was a feather in their cap.🤣 Brian, by spot on do you mean on the windshield? Stop me or I'll keep going...
Would love to get a mini excavator, so many uses and attachments for them. not a critique and you might have done it and not shown but when loading and unloading you can spin it around so can drive forward on and off instead of backing it
Cloaca.. never thought I'd hear that on your channel. 😄
I would love to have that 4020!!!!
Great video. It looks like you have made some improvements on the wire winder. The guides out front and some of the slop is gone from the spool. If that was in a video, I missed it. It works well, thumbs up 👍
