When you or a creature within 10 feet close to you have to make a saving throw, you gain a bonus equal to your charisma mod.

Yeah. Im pretty sure that with mark ruling the magic damage resist and them succeeding the save, he would have lived. Either because the quarter damage would not have been enough,or because when him and sentry tied saving throw roles and he went down they would have known "oh no, he's not paralized, hes down"

@@igotasweetass There isn't a "Life" school in D&D so any spells involving raising the dead whether its in an unnatural way (Zombies) or a resurrection its Necromancy. In D&D Necromancy isn't inherently evil and in Aerois even Mark explained early on that theres forms of Necromancy like Resurrection and Revivify that aren't evil.
Bim might have survived with a 15 because of Sentrys Paladin feature Aura of Protection (+3 to saves)

I always thought that Mark's encounters seemed rather hard and after watching enough of them I noticed that it is because he always seems to add those extra bits of damage like the piloting checks to see if it hits debris when boosting, not taking turns for the NPCs like Big Cat, Bim and Kyrie, and other things like that that seem so small however end up determining the fate of the battle by dragging the encounters out an extra few rounds while the team is at it's worst and this is why they always end up dying and stuff! It's so aggravating!
I felt the last to episode was descently easy
Tom, my arcana cleric always has that one prepared because of the dark crap they have to face on the reg. Better to just have it and use it for good.
the ending to this had me almost crying when i was walking home form the store. but the laughter saved me

I find it weird that when Tomm mentioned sentry's aura of protection against spells Mark seemed annoyed and said that seems straight from chat, but when Tom said he should have disadvantage on his guiding bolt Mark thanked chat. Isn't the DM meant to be a neutral party? Also I really don't understand the aversion for twitch chat, Kim called it out when Katie mentioned the D4 damage, Trott called it out aswell. If it is reminding players of mechanics that they automatically have, surely there's nothing wrong with that, especially since this party frequently forgets things I think it is a good thing. If someone looked at chat and based an RP decision off of that I could understand the annoyance, but forgotten mechanics are surely fine.
Mainly because then it becomes "Twitch Plays D&D" with chat focused entirely on yelling at the players to Do X. Remember Y. etc. It's a slippery slope of remembering mechanics to influence RP.
I also want the players to learn what their characters can do and not always rely on Chat to remind them.

FINALLY caught up with the show, and I've been loving it ! you guys are extremely good at RPing, and master improvisers as well! :)
all of your characters' personalities are very well defined and they interact super interestingly to one another, one of my favourite parts is how all of you are willing to make Big Moves if they make sense for your character.
also Mark, damn, you've quickly become one of my fav DMs! your imagery of grand spaces is top notch (half the final battles are so well designed in my mind thanks to your descriptions that they look like videogame scenarios) and the fact that People (PCs and NPCs alike) are clearly the major focus of the story makes it way more enjoyable.
also also, it's just nice to see what are clearly six good friends play together! very good vibes overall 😌 here's hoping I can catch the next one live!

Wasnt sentry's aura of protection around for those death saves? I could be wrong but that 9 on the second death save is a 12, or a success if so 1:35:45
Actually, after having re watched the original initiative order, bim doesn't seem to even take an action, meaning that I don't know whether his initiative is prior to or after sentry. If it's before sentry, his 2nd death saving throw would take place during a period of time where he is close to her, but if she took her turn before he did, he would have to perform a death saving throw without her in proximity. So if he is before swntry, there are more death saving throws to be had, but if his initiative is after sentry, then yes he is definitely dead
And further complicating this, if his initiative is between the nautoloid and sentry, then yes we need to roll more death saving throws. However, if it's before the enemy spaceship, then his 1st death saving throw is the only one where sentry is close, meaning he's definitely dead

I super enjoy encounters that have layers of complication and such, but this one seemed a bit much. 4 tentacles, boarding ability, psychic stun, same speed, after having the party blow their load in the first encounter. Didn't seem like there was much of a way out of this one other than really, really good rolls.

I may or may not have been just listening for the first 15 minutes while trying to catch up, because I'm almost a couple months behind, and can never watch live (Live on the East Coast, USA), and then I looked up and KATIE'S HAIR COLOR CHANGED!!! I'd like to imagine they are having this serious moment when the corpse outside starts to swell from pressure differential their eyes and tongue bulging while sizzling and the air in the stomach and intestines pushing out from both ends causing some discharge. Them freaking about and not realizing that it would happen to the body when they sent it out and perhaps having some regrets about that being the last way, they see them and how they will be frozen for potentially forever.

It depends, he is a devil so he may not be dead for too long, if a devil (also demons) are killed outside of their home plane they respawn back on plane of origin. Mark could of changed it though.
