@@SherlockHulmes he can use chromatic control and absorb the spell all as part of one reaction? And it also charges his dichromancy damage? And he doesn't need to guess what level the spell is being cast at to counter it, like you do with counterspell? Seems like Trott should be abusing the hell out of that, even if it risks exhausting him. The first two levels of exhaustion aren't that bad anyway, and that's assuming he fails the Con save. The really crazy part is, I looked at his character sheet on DnD Beyond (which is why I'm nerding out about this right now) and he has counterspell in his spell list. He has counterspell on steroids wrapped around his arm, for free!*. He literally gets to cancel people's spells, gets a damage boost from doing it, and can do that as much as he likes, assuming he makes the Con saves. It's a good job an item like that didn't go to Tom Hazel, the combat optimiser, because I get the feeling he'd be using it all the time. Edit: oh I just looked closer and saw Chromatic Control costs 3 sorcery points, and Lucius has a max of 12. Nevermind, my rant was unwarranted.
Been highly intrigued by this whole sequence! ❤️ Also, man, I applaud them for trudging with R20. As a DM I cant stand the site. I ended up running a game with R20’s map, but having cam on dice for rolls. No matter how complex the algorithms, especially eh ones, they just don’t equal real dice. We personally feel that if we get bad rolls (lol ask one of my cousins) we’d rather it be our bad luck, and not bleh algorithms simulating randomness.
I understand not trusting RNGs but it's the transparency and ability to verify that make them a necessary evil for VTTs. Of which there are a fair number. It's one thing to hate Random Number Generators and another entirely to just hate that particular site. Though I have to assume your knowledge of Virtual Table Tops is small to nonexistent.
@@MorinehtarTheBlue A bit bizarre of a comment, especially so late. I’m well familiar with them, have used them, and it doesn’t change that myself and many many others simply dislike how a lot of the systems operate. Especially older versions. There’s simply no arguing that programs, extensive or small as they may be, are not how we define random. They cycle through a set order, even if it’s from a colossal list. I’ve seen virtual rollers that were painfully predictable. That being said, virtual rolls are certainly *not* “a necessary evil” for virtual, as the High Rollers themselves let players roll with hard dice if they wished and it worked out beautifully for those players who did. Whether their rolls were good or bad. A group’s players make the game, not the method of rolling and tracking.
So when both Mark and Tom, play Aila they use reckless attack, when Katie doesn't. And it feels especially rude to use the reckless attack, and then go oh the monster then attacks Aila because it has advantage. Its almost like that's why she never uses it.
She uses it tactically when she chooses to. Tom and Mark generally thing it's cool and over use it. Though I do agree that it feels like Mark is setting up his monsters for advantage with it. So not cool at all.
I mean, Aila has resistance to most of the enemies attacks and more hit points than anyone else. Attacks against her are less impactful than attacks against anyone else. I'm pretty sure that at this point, Aila has literally never gone down in a real combat, because she never tries to draw aggro, which is what a barbarian with 18 con should be doing. It's meant to tempt monsters to attack the sponge with hundreds of hit points, instead of the 12 ac sorcerer.
Fucksake guys, if you have a torch in a dark room and you're standing in darkness YOU CAN STILL SEE THE TORCH. So Nova could see everyone, thanks to Sentry's matrix. Also, technically Sentry laid down her weapon and surrendered on the first turn, completing the order, and thus ending the effect.
Semi spoiler ish i guess, But Mark is really rolling too much nat 20's like, if a player were to roll 20's like that most DM's would have some questions or would at least respond on it. Like, i realise mark has no control over roll20 but what the heck XD

Maaan mark is trying to tpk 🤣🤣 roll 20 is assisting hard rn
hey, is tiangong named after the thing from chinese folklore, tiangou, a big black dog said to eat the sun during an eclipse,
i think i just busted what tinagong's avatar may look like, as well as eating a red sun (BBEG) is the sword to destroy BBEG, that's why starbane has one,
Are you proud, mark senpai?
@@o.d.d.792 thats a good point. I haven't watched the session zeroes, is it on there?
I named Tiangong, and it's named after the first Chinese space station. Literally translates as 'Heavenly Palace.' - Kim

QUILL: PRAYER OF HEALING
With the atmosphere generator, couldn't they have just turned it off got to the ship, wait for anyone who needs air to die, figure a way to go back and just walk through? Maybe it wouldn't have been possible but would've been cool to try.
Yoooo. Kim can really sing a lil. Play a Bard!
Can you tell whos my favorite pc
Nova?
Just caught up and want to donate but I can't figure out how. Is there like, a link or something?
They stream on twitch, so go donate at highrollers @ twitch
Mark, what is the point of lucius' glove?
He hasn't had any chance to use it, seems a bit of a dud magic item.
1.29.45 fucking finally!
Lots of chances to use it, just needs to remember to use it. ;) I changed it so he can combo his Chromatic Control and the Item a while ago.
Nevermind, my rant was unwarranted.
these guys just burn spell slots like they will never encounter any boss battles
3:11:50 it’s captain blueballs D:
Reckless is a huge point of being a barbarian…
the quickened spell is because otherwise, you'd always just cast a quickened spell cantrip as your bonus action, expending minimal sorcery points
sometimes you just gotta /r1d0 your dice lol
Wish one bring back smeek wish two bring back Impy boi
2:50:44 nat twentYYYYYYY
so think they will go back to the table in a couple weeks
Well....
Lmfao this didn't age
People, remember to hit that LIKE button. Kim, get your peeps to remind people at beginning or end of stream. Gotta get those TH-cam ad dollars.
Mad dun duns
I dunno why Trott didn't hit Sentry with the vitriolic sphere instead of Nova. Worst case she'd fail and take half damage.
As far as I could tell it was between hitting Nova or Sentry and himself.
🎵!!!PIERCER&ROPER!!!🎵
I don't want to be caught up
Fucksake guys, if you have a torch in a dark room and you're standing in darkness YOU CAN STILL SEE THE TORCH. So Nova could see everyone, thanks to Sentry's matrix.
Also, technically Sentry laid down her weapon and surrendered on the first turn, completing the order, and thus ending the effect.
PUPPY!!!!
Semi spoiler ish i guess,
But Mark is really rolling too much nat 20's like, if a player were to roll 20's like that most DM's would have some questions or would at least respond on it. Like, i realise mark has no control over roll20 but what the heck XD
Suggestion is concentration and ends once they have complied
Zax cast mass suggestion which isn't concentration and specifically says that the suggested course of action can continue throughout the duration, which is 24 hours. It's more a matter of interpretation.
High rollers could have a series of grung themed Pepe emotes
