    This was really helpful. Sounds like the pencil gives you a whole new way of interacting with an image that neither a touchscreen or mouse+keyboard can give. I also really enjoyed your color grading process, and it makes me want to experiment more. I’m also feeling inspired to make some edit videos to share more of my process.

    Hi, I am new to photo editing, should I go for the M4 iPad Pro or a Macbook (pro or air?)

    • @MarcTaraz
      @MarcTaraz  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think if you’re having fun with photography and learning, and only need a device for editing, you can’t go wrong with any of them. I think the desktop full version of Lightroom and other applications are far superior to what you can do on the iPad, so if you want a device you can grow with, and eventually do professional work with, I’d recommend a laptop. For photos, you’re not getting a huge upgrade from air to pro, as photo editing is cpu based and not gpu, and the base model will perform very similarly to the highest end model.

    • @MarcTaraz
      @MarcTaraz  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Personally I really like the 11” form factor, it’s small and portable, and differentiates itself enough in size from a laptop for me. I feel like 13 is too big and cumbersome, and I’d rather just use a laptop at that point, but everyone is different! I’d recommend going to a store and testing them out and seeing what works best for you!

      I went for the 13" model as it's the best screen you can buy at the moment (at a "reasonable" price), so I wanted to view (and edit) my images on the biggest one I could get. It works perfectly as a second monitor to your Mac using Sidecar so there's that too.

      @MarcTaraz the question regarding the iPad is why limit yourself to a tablet that only allow minimal stuff.
