In other words, what kind of price tag is associated with a job like this? You can just give a dollar range to avoid disclosing too much information about this particular homeowners cost. Gotta be a hefty $ tag.
Absolutely! that's a good question. These full tear out and replace jobs usually run anywhere between $35k-$55k. And that usually includes at least some kind of preventative measures such as, vapor barrier, sump pump system, etc.
It's hard to explain, but normally we do. This house had the return built in between the joists. Were they box in a section. When we tore out the old joists, that went with it. So, we needed an HVAC company to come out and redo that and figured while they're at it, they can make sure all the runs are set up properly as well.
