- This video shows how you can fit a losi lmt servo saver into your kraton 4s to rid of the terrible stock servo saver.
parts needed are:
losi lmt servo saver
servo spacers (2mm x6)
m3 x 20mm machine screws
m3 nylock nut
smaller screw to fit saver onto servo
Simply genius! I've looked at those and other servo savers but never got one because they all seemed to be too tall...
I totally overlooked the fact that I could space the servo up...
If my modified arrma 24t servo saver with the HD Spring doesn't work out, I'll try one of these next...
I already have some 25t metal inserts
Good looking my man!!!!!
I did this when someone on facebook mentioned it. Very good idea
Completely changes how the car turns. I have got another one to try which is the gpm servo saver which doesn't need you to trim the receiver box etc. Will try it out soon to see what I prefer
@@RCforDais Have tried the GPM servo saver? Which one did you order?
@FlingingMonkeyPoop I havnt yet no. I think it was the gpm large I bought. I honestly havnt really had any issues with this setup so havnt tried it yet. I will at some point though
@@RCforDais Appreciate the response. I was just wondering if you tried that one. I actually just got the LMT servo saver due to your video. I need to figure out how to attach the steering link to the saver. It is upsidedown to how it would normally be mounted. LOL
Did you get this working after?
I’m going to try a simple fix. Going to take the saver apart and hot glue fill 50% of the spring cavity. This should really stiffen it up whilst still leaving some shock resistance
Update. This failed, and I cooked the servo lol
Lmt servo saver is the way forward
@@markhalton2584 Not a bad idea though. Maybe shoe goo? But yeah I’m trying this Losi ss.
Thanks for the video. I’m going to try this. I think simple round aluminum spacers will work instead of having to drill out servo spacers. Yes, no?
Yes don't see why not. Aslong as its spaced up don't really matter how you do it aslong as it's secure
@@RCforDais All parts are in, including the servo saver. How tight did you make it? I guess I’ll start loose and tighten as needed, but there’s a wide range. From fully extended to fully tight, how far would you estimate you screwed down?
@tyrellcorp2118 I think I fully tightened it then loosened it off a couple of turns if I remember rightly
@@RCforDaisThis works so well. I ended up tightening as much as I could by hand. I also used 10mm spacers. Even 8mm risked rubbing for me. The turning performance is night and day. Thank you.
@tyrellcorp2118 yeh personally I would now run more than 6mm myself too. But definitely a worthy upgrade
Outstanding work G💯🩸 this truck will have you well proficient real quick
Nice work G keep at it
