As someone who also worked at one of these private schools in Japan, I understand the exhaustion of these kinds of days. I was fortunate enough to be at an adult-only school since I was located in a larger city, but I was in the minority as all the other schools seemed to be mixed with kids and adults. Having 7 classes back to back is something I'd never wish on anyone. x_x
I also had the speaking pattern change when I came back. It took awhile to get over that, haha!

Thanks! Honestly I hated teaching kids my first year here, but now it’s the main reason I stay! It took some time but I eventually got to where I’m really attached to most of them, even the ones I thought I didn’t like initially.
If you don’t mind me asking, what part of Japan were you working in?

@@Yojimaki Awww, that sounds so sweet! I'm glad you ended up warming up to them, as it does sound like they would take a looot of energy to real in.
I was in Kobe when I taught in Japan. I thought it was a very nice area. an hour outside Osaka, and 2 hours from Kyoto. So day trips to go out and explore were quite fun.
