Hey Chaps! Would you buy a Robot Vac?
UPDATE: I don't have any info on the companies history of user data, I've only been testing the products. But as with any brand it's always worth doing research and reading reviews.
Don’t you check who are you working with in advance? That is strange
Yes until I saw the price. Too much of a nice to have for £600. Under £300 and I'd be interested. Vacuuming isn't that much of a problem.
You don't see any conflict reviewing a product by a company that's paying you to do so?
Great review!!! He’s not doing no more than anyone else.
I had a roomba 8i that I just returned. Not impressed for a sale price of $500 from Costco. Just ordered an 8pro and hope it does better, or it will go back to Amazon too. Tks for the video.
Amazon just had them on sale for about $400 and Eufy itself last weekend had a sale at $399.
Thanks for showing it going over actual pet hair! i recemtly tried (and returned) a Robotrock S8+ because it just rode over clumps of fur shed by my Australian Shepherd (set to vacuum 3x at the Max+ vacuum power setting)! This vac loks like it'll meet my needs to effectively pick up my dog's hair and self-empty the dustbin.
RobotPox is guaranteed for life
I have the X8 with the mop. The pro brings interesting features like adjustable mop water and self cleaning. But I’ll stick with mine for a couple of more years as I’m satisfied and it proven very reliable.
Agreed, but the x8 mopping is pretty awful tbh. I feel the x8 might be marginally better at mopping, but it looks like the x9 (and x10) might be significantly better at mopping.
I feel that eufy should pitch their range more intuitively. It's getting a bit out of hand.
you make the best videos
Why would you work with a company such as Eufy? I dont usually comment on videos but i gotta on this one because eufy has been exposed for misshandling user data on their cameras by uploading said data to the cloud instead of the local data storage they advertise on their products.
I believe this was relating to their camera privacy policy - however the vacuum doesn't have any cameras / microphones
@@Thetechchap true, but a company that does things like that and doesn't apologize to the consumer is not to be trusted is what I was getting at.
@@Imtempxst they did apologise
Who cares as long as the product, in this case a vacuum, works. Almost every company either has been hacked for data or sells it for profit. Until laws change, deal with it by buying what you want and why you want.
Not having a pet helps keep the house cleaner 😉 but tbh Robo Vacuums are looking pretty good, I thought about getting one before realizing that I don't really need one.
Why no RobotPox here?
Because they are the worst trash
Ha! Our robot vacuum is called Dobby as it's just like having a house elf.
Just make sure not to put a piece of cloth on the robot to protect it from dust.
I just requested this model sincethe motor in my eufy l35 hbrid+ just went out.
How is it with cables, my roborock has eaten at least 5 usb cables and a few shoe laces in its time, before it stopped communicating with my wifi. So looking for something new.
Thanks
Dear Tom, can you please recommend a 16" or 17" 4K UHD touchscreen laptop that can handle upscaling low res videos to 4K? Thanks for your help
Does it work with google assistant?
Vacs are not normally exciting things to talk about, but more exciting than the iPhone 15. 😅
how do i find out how many sq meters this one will cover?
Check out the Dreame L20 Ultra. It seems to be the king of robovacs at the moment.
Is there compatibility with Apple home? Looking for a good robot vacuum to add to my Apple ecosystem? Any recommendations?
I don't believe there's any HomeKit support currently
Does the unit come with the self empty station or is that extra?
It comes with the station :)
I have a x8 pro it has good suction but its not smart it just goes into things pulls wires and cant find its home base even though its right infront of it out of 10 i give it a 4
👍👍👍
If £600 are the budget ones how much are the normal ones 😱. Needs to be under £300 before most people would consider one.
They do have regular discounts. I saw this one with £150 off, but still that that’s £450. I’ve seen Costco are selling it without the emptying station for £379. But again that’s still above your target price.
For me the biggest issue is the fact they only offer a 1 year warranty on it, which for this type of technology is poor. Makes buying one a huge gamble.
Shouldn't the X9 be more powerful than the X8?
Is it 600 us? more seems like the mop feature is a waste without a mop docking station. Just pony up a bit more than 150us to get a roborock q revo.
$549 US currently
“I have a cleaner come every 2 weeks”
And a robot vacuum
You lazy devil 😂
Hah it's true
@@Thetechchap hey if it makes it easier though! Haha
Our Robot Vacuum is called Rita Floora 😂
We named ours Chad and gave him googly eyes 😂
That's fantastic
Expensive for a 1 year lifespam
I always feel uneasy watching a review with a sponsorship link for the reviewed product at the bottom.
It's not a full review, this is a sponsored video where I'm just highlighting it's features
@@Thetechchapah I hadn’t picked up on the fact it’s a sponsored video. So a sales pitch.
@@hawsrulebegin7768 Indeed. I don't think most will realize it's a paid advert because it's framed in the style of a review.
4 views in 10s 💀. Thought i was first
Love your review we have also 2 birmans cat and they make balls
We call ours sucky
Like it!
Eufy has been exposed for lying to consumers about their privacy policy. Why are you working with them?
That 💰 silly
Free country in the UK, he can do as he chooses.
You cannot be so superficial and believe that someone will use your data to find where you live and steal your credit card details 🤣🤣🤣🤣 maybe your wife will be stolen 🤣🤣 I am convinced that you haven't made anything with your life because you have time to think such rubbish shit
truthfully I wasn't aware of that - but after looking into it, I appreciate the concerns. However I think that related to their cameras/microphones -and obviously neither feature in their Vacuums
There’s not a single company out there that has not lied to their customers, they all do it for profit.
Bro i tell you please can you give me one phone any one
Lies
Its all lies
Lame
Can you fusnlly Block all those stupid bot comment about this trash Robotbox?
Eufy has a pretty rotten track record on handling data gathered from its users. Stay away!
...Cool vacuum tho
Fair point! Although I think that was relating more to their cameras/mics? None of which feature in their vacuum
