Carian Sorcery Sword; As the name implies it's a Thrusting Sword that can cast Sorceries in place of having a heavy attack, however it's Sorcery Scaling is hidden. If you go above 60 Intelligence this thing isn't very good as at 80 Intelligence it's apparently 30% weaker than that strongest non-drawback Staff. It's also the weakest of the Thrusting Swords when the ones you can change the Affinity/Infusion of are put down the Magic one, but that's the tradeoff for the crazy versatility of this weapon. This thing is just fun to use, it's quickly become one of my favorite weapons in the game, and that's saying something. Rellana's Twin Swords, This is the other Int/Fth weapon to go alongside the awesome Sword of Night and Flame not counting the underwhelming Smithscript weapons. Not as good as the SoNaF even after the nerfs it got early on in the game's lifespan (the thing is still an excellent weapon), but it's a fun option to use. 3. Staff of the Great Beyond; This thing can *CAST BOTH SORCERIES AND INCANTATIONS*, need I say more? Not only that until you get to 60+ in both Intelligence and Faith it'll be the strongest Int/Fth Sorcery casting tool you have. However it'll always be outclassed by the Golden Order Seal regardless, then again that thing is just stupidly powerful for casting offensive spells. 4. It's no Moonviel, but it's fun to use, plus you can't ignore the style points of the weapon. 5. I really like this channel. I think he makes really good content. This was my go to channel every time a cyberpunk video would pop up. I didn’t know he covered Elden ring. Now I like this channel a little bit more.
I've been enjoying Elden Ring on and off for over a year now and it's definitely one of my other favourite games. I figured this would be a good time to make some videos on it
Its been confirmed raksashas armour doesnt insrease dmg taken Rather the desriptions means it weighs more for how much damge negation u get compared to other srmors the same weight The trade off obv is the dmg buff u get Its meta armor forever now :))
Sam Bran Eldon Ring videos is the only Shadowtree blessing I need! Also, Gaius is the most unhinged boss I've faced in the DLC. I took out the dancing lion on my first try, but Gaius took me 3 whole days of trying lmao
Awesome video! I found half of these on my own, but never saw the others. The lore was really cool too that you covered. I never knew Gaius existed till this vid, I gotta try him now, and all the others that I missed.
My man here is going backwards in time. Starting in the cyberised future, then going on a postapocalyptic holiday and now into the fantasy past. How much did the time capsle cost?
The Rakshasa set doesnt actually increase your damage taken, its just for its weight it offers way less defensive stats that a comparable armor. Its believed to be a translation error when it says it increases damage taken, that or a bug lol
Thank you for this. I like your insertion of some lore discussion with the guidance. To add to the Gaius discussion though, his remembrance does indicate he was Messmer's bff so I would assume he was posted there by Messmer rather than Marika or Miquella. Though that's face value on the remembrance which is my only source atm, so in case there's others that point to alternate info on his posting, his remembrance is the closest thing to reliable I have on me. 🤔
Aspect of the crucible wings has be come my finishing move against Rellana. Dodging her triple slam attack by first jumping over the 2 moon slams and when she drops down for the final hit you activate the crucible wings dodging the final hit and diving in to her. Pulling that off feels so satisfying.
I don't know if anyone knows this but. For fighting Curseblade Labirith, you won't be able to see him or target him at all if you are actively using a lantern or light source.
No Midra Lord of Frenzied Flame? He's actually one of the best and most enjoyable boss fight in the DLC. His greatsword AoW also very devastating both in PvE and PvP.
Quick note: Meera and Labirith weren't shunned for their omen horns. The Bonny Gaol and Bonny Village are predominantly populated by Hornsent. The hornsent clan are proud of their horns and believe them in a positive light. But that raises more questions as to why the curse blades were imprisoned. Overshadowed by invasion she to refer to the moment that the veil was placed over the land of shadow by Marika and the invasion of Messmer. I am glad you posted this video, because I never would have caught the significance of them being imprisoned.
Also there is one more people tend to overlook as well if you don't do enough leg work to reach it. The Scadutree Avatar. A boss you need to beat 3 times in a row in the boss fight, and you can also make it comes with less HP in the other 2 parts if you land the critical hit once you bring down all the HP. It also rewards you not only with a the remembrance but also with Miquella's great rune that prevents the charm status during the boss fight if you ever get grab in the 2nd phase.
I'm rocking the solitude set atm. Finally, im able to equip it w/ out the arsenal charm...takes roughly 50 endurance depending on weapon/weapons equipped. This set has saved my ass more times than i can count. Countless times i'm left w/no red bar in sight but i'm alive! I do love the look of it. Its one of coolest armor sets in the game, and as far as i know, it has one of the highest damage mitigation's in the game as well. I use it w/ messmer's spear or monks flamemace w/ sacred blade ash of war.
Something that wasn’t mentioned, with the great sword of solitudes ash of war if you do a heavy attack after using it you move forward rather quick and do what is the equivalent of a fully charged heavy attack. It’s a great way to close distance and deal high damage and stance damage.
For anyone who doesnt know, bit for the locked spirit springs, you dont have to hunt down the locks for them you can actually break them by using mohgs shackle on it
I love the ring blades, and the curse blade enemies are my favorite new additions. I may have to kill labarith to get meeras ashes, but summing her out in the open world to wreck messmers troops and using a set of the curse blades along side her feels pretty badass
I wrapped up all the bosses today and I am surprised that I didn't realize Gaius was optional. Inadvertently stumbled onto him early my first blind play-through and he was a massive wall for me, and in my mind I compared him to Margit because once I got him the rest of the DLC bosses really clicked for me and I just kind of powered through the rest of the game. I'd put him in my top 3 fights in the game for how much of a wall he was for me and the sense of accomplishment in finally nailing it. I have no actual idea of what he's doing back there with his gal pal, but the scadutree factory seems out of commission so maybe he's just trying to chill and I ruined his day?
"The plural of the word "hippopotamus" is "hippopotamuses" or "hippopotami". "Hippopotamuses" is the more commonly used plural form.” 😅 you were correct!
The Troll Knights in the base game fought for the Carians and they use Carian magic. Not Glintstone, which was used by the Cuckoo Knights who went to war against the Carians.
I had the Death Knight boss completely bug out on me last night. He just stopped attacking. Not wanting to get back through that hellacious dungeon again, I took advantage lol. Nice weapon drop!
7:00 does Godwyns body in all the realms indicate their connection? Like he died, his body is lain in 3 different areas indicating he died in all realms. It's interesting
Learned a lot. I need to go back to the Albanurac Shack. When i killed Gaius, i ran that way and there was no NPC. I have the talisman but not the greaves.
Blackgaol is a great early boss. I'm not great at this game and I got used to having summons. Taking them away forced me to learn his patterns. Good preparation for the final boss, actually.
What is the major lore significance of combining Intelligence (Sorcery) and Faith (Incantations), Radagon is symbolized by the Golden Order's Law of Regression and how all things yearn to converge, he learned sorcery from Renalla during his marriage, incantations from Marika during there "marriage", then the Sword of Night and Flame shows companionship between the Astrologers (Pre-Carian's & the astrological bodies they harness) and Fire Giants (Slaves to the Fell God), and then there is the Staff of the Great Beyond which eludes to a connection closer to the Cosmos. I would really love to see some theories on this.
If you're having trouble with Black Knight Edredd and want to cheese him; you can climb up the ladder, wait for him to climb up, get a couple hits in, jump down when he is finished climbing up, climb back up when he is about to jump down after you, rinse and repeat. You can do this, and just keeping using dragon breath while he is climbing up.
I somehow beat Rakshasah in about :30. I used the magma wyrm sword, threw on some buffs before entering, and just soammed light attack. She hit me a few times but didn’t last long.
scoured every inch of the dlc looking for hidden gems, was hoping id see something new here i never found, sadly nope. but was cool to actually see some bosses, since i 1 shot most of them it was cool to see them in detail and appreciate their design.
The hidden naked guy near the first part of the DLC has a powerful beast claw weapon to use. It can be buffed unlike the bear claws... But honestly the bear set is fun... REALLY FUN. 🐻
Im not sure if you did it or not, but if you input a heavy attack after using the AOW of the greatsword of solitude then it does a lunging spinning slash
If you’re struggling against Gaius run to the left and use the wall/pillar for cover to summon great shield ashes. Beat him 1st try with that strat since his aggro is split between 6 people now
My favorite set is the Death Knight. I invested in arcane and dex for dragon communion and bleed, but as soon as I seen the new dragon weapons I picked them up, then found the Death Knight armor, and oh boy did my lightning damage get pumped. Should have been more to Godwyn in the DLC tbh, like how does the second Dancing Lion spew Deathblight and spawn the frog boys with no Godwyn or Deathroot around? Maybe the Deathroot can grow into the visages of Godwyn
Yes, breaking Rakshasa's stance is the best way to deal with him. He will keep spamming the weed cutter skill and you can't do nothing about it until you get a weapon strong enough to break his stance or just like what's shown in the video.

A good way to take on Commander Gaius is to use fully levelled up 5 great shield zombie warriors spirit ash, especially if youre a mage build. They take so much of the heat and last just long enough to win the battle
The boss in curseblade labyrinth gave me a serious jump scare. After making the room pitch black, they did that attack where they hurl themselves at you from just out of range. Meaning they were still in the pitch black. The attack missed but went STRAIGHT into the camera. Made my heart skip and I physically jumped. Lmao

3:22 The fables call it "cheese"
Dude that 2nd dancing lion was insane. Spawns basilisks with death mist AND lightning?!? Insane lol
They could have just give him deathblight. Adding the frogs was so unnecessary.
Thank you Sam for making a video on my favourite game!
Thank you,
I have missed the Night Armor, the Ulcerated Tree Spirits and the deathblight lion (not sure if I wanna meet him though)
Its been confirmed raksashas armour doesnt insrease dmg taken
Rather the desriptions means it weighs more for how much damge negation u get compared to other srmors the same weight
The trade off obv is the dmg buff u get
Its meta armor forever now :))
Happy to see you covering more and more games. I play all of them :D
Ha! Bold of you to assume I'll ever get good enough to get to the dlc!
If a Souls noob like me (Elden Ring is my first Souls game) can make into the dlc you can too.
Eww...newbs...
I can vouch for this ✋🏻@@Nathan_Coley
@@nyongtory4e Glad I'm not the only one 🙌🤘
@@Nathan_Coley Of course! What's more, I have now confidence to start NG+
I only need to beat Consort Radahn and I will be going for it!
Wow, I thought I explored pretty well and even looked up some hidden paths but I missed a few of these! Thanks for the video.
Great video and with some lore thrown in as well. Also some bonuses like the extra hippos for the fragments. Very nice
Incredible video man!!!
My man here is going backwards in time. Starting in the cyberised future, then going on a postapocalyptic holiday and now into the fantasy past. How much did the time capsle cost?
Your voice and tempo really suit these videos.
I will have to reread his remembrance but that actually sounds like it makes sense. Thanks
Great video my guy 👌🏼
the lore, the location, the guide... yup.. subbed
My guess is because he is not entirely optional, since he affects one of the endings.
YESSSSS SAM BRAM MAKING ELDEN RING CONTENT
brb time to spam this shit to my friends in our discord gaming channels lmao
Also there is one more people tend to overlook as well if you don't do enough leg work to reach it.
The Scadutree Avatar. A boss you need to beat 3 times in a row in the boss fight, and you can also make it comes with less HP in the other 2 parts if you land the critical hit once you bring down all the HP. It also rewards you not only with a the remembrance but also with Miquella's great rune that prevents the charm status during the boss fight if you ever get grab in the 2nd phase.
Heck yeah, Sam Bram Elden Ring!
Dude it took me longer to beat the Sunflower than Messmer 😭😭
I think same. Messmer is tough but actually doesn't have much health. The sunflower is insane because of the phases
I thought I was going crazy at first when it kept coming back lol. Definitely took longer than Messmer, cool fight both.
I literally beat it on my first try lol
@@kunknown2340Same fire dmg was chunking it for a fourth of its health on the head.
Takers flame to its head melted that thing for me.
Thx for the vid ❤ the little map in the top right really helped
Something that wasn’t mentioned, with the great sword of solitudes ash of war if you do a heavy attack after using it you move forward rather quick and do what is the equivalent of a fully charged heavy attack. It’s a great way to close distance and deal high damage and stance damage.
For anyone who doesnt know, bit for the locked spirit springs, you dont have to hunt down the locks for them you can actually break them by using mohgs shackle on it
Only missed those spirit trolls... gotta go back n find them... good looks... dope vid
The lore was a nice touch.
I love the ring blades, and the curse blade enemies are my favorite new additions. I may have to kill labarith to get meeras ashes, but summing her out in the open world to wreck messmers troops and using a set of the curse blades along side her feels pretty badass
Bad ass video!!! Been looking for that stupid gate key like an idiot. Thanks.
Thank you for this video very well done
The fact i got like 80% of these already before seeing this vid lmao, thanks for the guides !
Greatsword of Solitude tip: after using the ash of war use a heavy attack right after, you will dash forward and do a hefty swing
Does the dlc have any bosses that can only be fought at night like the base game?
Damn that's wild. I really did play the DLC at 99% i only missed the second dancing lion. Well time to re do it! XD
Hell yeah thanks for the content , always enjoyed your cyberpunk stuff
If you're having trouble with Black Knight Edredd and want to cheese him; you can climb up the ladder, wait for him to climb up, get a couple hits in, jump down when he is finished climbing up, climb back up when he is about to jump down after you, rinse and repeat. You can do this, and just keeping using dragon breath while he is climbing up.
Thank you for this informative walkthrough
I somehow beat Rakshasah in about :30. I used the magma wyrm sword, threw on some buffs before entering, and just soammed light attack. She hit me a few times but didn’t last long.
Very cool video and the lore was amazing too, thanks!
scoured every inch of the dlc looking for hidden gems, was hoping id see something new here i never found, sadly nope. but was cool to actually see some bosses, since i 1 shot most of them it was cool to see them in detail and appreciate their design.
Had no idea about the five scadutree fragments after Gaius holy shit thanks!
The hidden naked guy near the first part of the DLC has a powerful beast claw weapon to use. It can be buffed unlike the bear claws... But honestly the bear set is fun... REALLY FUN. 🐻
What weapon are you using in your right hand during the first part of the video around 3:24, does anyone know?
Im not sure if you did it or not, but if you input a heavy attack after using the AOW of the greatsword of solitude then it does a lunging spinning slash
I was able to find all but Dancing Lion and Commander Gaius with my blind playthrough. I will definitely want to fight commander Gaius!
If you’re struggling against Gaius run to the left and use the wall/pillar for cover to summon great shield ashes. Beat him 1st try with that strat since his aggro is split between 6 people now
going the xtra mile for the infos deserves a sup
The Solitude Armor set also has 99 focus, which is very useful when facing Midra
16:49 I thought they were hornsent instead of omen, which are different from each other
Yes, breaking Rakshasa's stance is the best way to deal with him. He will keep spamming the weed cutter skill and you can't do nothing about it until you get a weapon strong enough to break his stance or just like what's shown in the video.
haha, I didnt expect an Elden Ring video from you. Sorry I am not here to watch though. I dont want any spoilers. I will leave a like on the video for you though. Keep it up my favorite Cyberpunk 2077content creator
i preceeded the ymir questline until the last ruins under his church, jolan never appreared to me until i was about to go under the chrurch for the final finger bell. i exhausted all diaologues with her and there was no prompt to give her anthing, after i beat anna and then metyr i had to fight jolan and ymir. so what happend that i never got the option to give her anything? please keep in mind i hacw completed literally everything else in the dlc but the final final boss too. :)
There is a follow up attack to the greatsword of solitude ashe of war btw. Closes distance and good for poise breaking big enemies.
Yeah not sure how he didn't know since the boss uses it, just heavy attack out of the slice
A good way to take on Commander Gaius is to use fully levelled up 5 great shield zombie warriors spirit ash, especially if youre a mage build. They take so much of the heat and last just long enough to win the battle
Sword of Night is absolutley amazing along with its quest!!!
Coolest looking sword ever
@@REAPER3fitty and the semi corporeal, slides through defenses. Mmmmm
Lmao
