Hey Makers! Full disclosure. Vevor set up an account for me and like some of the amazon products I've shown, I get a small commission if a purchase is made. You do not pay anything more because of the purchase. I was not paid for the video. I contacted Vevor because I was interested in showing how to attach a vise to the bench I reviewed last month and they informed me that the vises are, indeed, being phased out. I don't know if there's another product coming in to replace this product, but, from what I was told, these vises will no longer be stocked. When they're gone, they're gone.
I know you posted this six months ago (at least, that's what YT is telling me), but it helped me install the exact same vise today. I really appreciate you taking the time to post this and show us what you did - I'm sure it saved me from making many mistakes - I'm still rather new to the woodworking hobby....thanks again!
The spinner method is so cool. Your video helped me install a similar style of vise, and i look forward to completing the crank later this week. Couole silly mods in mind, but this was great.
A simple knob to put on the ends of the dowel handle can be made using a hole saw and a forstner bit. Pick the diameter of the knob you want to make and use the hole saw to cut it out of a board. If you don't have a board as thick as you want the knob to be just cut two out and stack and glue them together. Then use a forstner bit the same diameter as your dowel to bore a small recess into the knob piece. You can glue the knobs on, or glue one and attach the other with a screw in case you ever want to remove the handle for some reason.
I got the 9 inch Vevor vice. Haven't installed it yet will use your install video as a guide. I have purchase several Vevor products and have had problems with them. I got a 13inch bench top planer and a 10 inch table saw. The planer had started to have problems after about 5 months of use, the table saw fence does not align with the blade when moved, contacted Vevor about the planer and it turned into a month long back and forth their solution was to offer me a 10 percent and then a 20 percent refund of the purchase price no help with fixing the problems. The fence problem is shown in various TH-cam videos, I asked Vevor if they have a solution to the problem and again month of back and forth emails. In the end they told me to tighten a screw on the back of the fence which did not fix the problem. I don't recommend that you buy any vevor products because they do not back them after sell and do not honor the warranty.
I installed the quick release vevor face vise and it would release on its own whenever I tried to clamp down. I have removed and pack it back up to send back. I will not use vevor again
Nice build. Do yourself a favor and never buy Vevor anything. I just received something from them and a part was broken. The only customer service is a chat bot and after 2 weeks the chat bot advices they will send me the part in 2 weeks. Just garbage build quality and lousy customer service. But again, great build.

I did go ahead and purchase one at the discounted rate. I will look forward to using your video to help get it installed. Thanks for all the tips!

Thanks a bunch for the step-by-step and all the info, Rob! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
And happy holidays!
Getting a vice should be the first thing someone got to buy when starting the woodworking adventure

Nice review of the vise Rob! Thanks for always sharing with us!💖👍😎JP
That was a great & timely video!
I prefer the quick-release style!
Great video, where's the materials list? You mentioned in the video that you'd list the screws used.

Never had a problem, I'll keep an eye out for that.

why review an item that will soon be no longer available?
