Yall need an ooh shitt button on the old guys microphone!! LOL just kidding been waiting on this video for a while now. As expected, the most comprehensive informative source of information in the side-by-side world. Can't wait to see you guys to take this thing to the podium
Thank you guys for this video. We (the SxS community) are looking for your solutions to some of the issues you mentioned - especially suspension related. I will be buying a Mav R in Nov/Dec (order arrival date) and will need your help soon after it gets to my house. I appreciate everything you guys do for our community.
Actually, that is what the OVERRIDE button is for. Check your manual case, there is a tool in there that you have to use to manually put the car in neutral. Override and the tool are used in conjunction.
The override is for reverse and other functions not necessarily linked to neutral. The panel on the driver side you are probably talking about is to access the 4x4 disconnect unit, which disengages the front wheels. You may refer to the operator's guide in the special procedures sections, it is the first procedure. Look for "permanent neutral".
My Bronco Sport has some of the same Shifting Features as the Can-Am it sounds like! It’s an AutoMatic with Paddle Shifters that I can press to downshift (Round-abouts and Freeway wrap around an overpass are a couple places I like it most!
You have your's where's mine? Can't wait for it to arrive, I have a Talon and IMO manually shifting makes riding in the dunes twice the fun. Thanks for the great review.
Very informative. The SXS blog guys got one and didn't seem to like it that much--or at least they liked the Pro-R more. Will you guys be getting a Speed UTV?
I think the main opinion from everyone so far is, it's a good car but not 12k more at the premium level than a pro r good. If you build the car to match all the options of the pro r ultimate stock configuration, it will cost you 52k
@@Jizden_Mipanz If you ignore the ride in the backyard boys (SxSblog) or slow riding east coasters, it is that good. They don't have high speed trails like us western riders have. @@TheBandit7613 exactly. It's a dune machine. For that money I want something that does everything well. And Polaris is that something. From real world experience not just watching guys on youtube
@@Jizden_Mipanz I don't know. I'm not going to say anything negative about the Polaris. Only one person in our riding group has one and he's an old man who rides kind of slow. We don't just dune. @@TheBandit7613 it's a cool machine for sure, not discounting that. But I can get a pro r ultimate with all the bells and whistles for 12k less than the Mav r with the same options
if you run out of fuel and as long as you how power you can hold the N Button down for 5 seconds and it will put it in permanent neutral which will allow you to tow it also. if you lose power you have to manually unhook it at the engine.
Not sure why some people are not down on the front knuckle look? I think it looks badass and I can’t wait to sell my Polaris Pro XP 4 and grab one of the R’s.
Hello, very good video like alway! I just want to tell you that you need to push the lower button on the small gage in front of the steering wheel to get your engine temp. It will change lower screen info until you get it... and for the oh shit button, maybe you could manufacture one... i don t know if it would sell but...
Your race rack is one of my favorite upgrades on the x3, it makes a huge difference to the trail manners and handling of that car. Will this car need one or did they figure their shit out on the rack this time? Also, Does it have unit bearings for the wheel hubs like the pro r? East coast guys: we’ll definitely get trees stuck in the front end
Glad you love the rack. This one looks better. Definitely less load on it. We will tear it down and find out how it does. It does have bearings like a pro R. Your right east coast will get trees in there.
Would you get non smart shox model for racing? Tune it how you want? Had 22 smart shox that just threw codes guess we will see if they’re plagued with same issues.
I am pretty sure Justin said at one point he was getting a Speed car but not sure on the status on that. Would love to hear a similar review on the forthcoming El Diablo two seater Speed car. Honestly want well informed third party reviews to help me decide between these two pricey cars since test drives are basically non existent in the UTV world.
Justin said in one of his video that 4 link trailing arm was better than speed utv style trailing arm. Robby replied in a video that he does nt know what he talk about... so maybe justin won t be able to get a speed utv lol
He did nt diss robby suspension, he just said he prefer 4 link ( i can t remember exactly wich video, but it was not so late after the pro r review if my memory is good). Than robby in his next weekly video was a little angry and said justin did nt know what he was talking about lol. I agree with justin. Imo, robby suspension work good when landing a jump or thing like that, but will never work like a maverick or pro r in the big whoops while on the gaz... i think it will never win a desert race because of that. This new maverick tho, with this new trans is a winner imo
Justin and the guys can you do a show about the Kawasaki KRX and Turbo versus super chargers. Also, what is your opinion of the machines compared to the Polaris and Can Am.
Actually we talked quite a bit about it on a suspension geometry episode on camber. I love the car. Super strong. Great suspension. Killer rock crawler. Just under powered for west coast riding. Ana big fir east coast riding though. Excited to drive their now one once it comes out with the super charger
Sweet ride but I can get a pro r ultimate for 8k less because the dealers are starting to discount the pro R plus it's about 5k cheaper msrp to begin with and they ain't discounting the maverick R one cent right now.
I hear Jon saying WE, is Jon now employed by the ST team ? I thought he was the Can Am meda guy. Nevertheless a good knowable guy and he's been around it since it all began.
Cant wait for the trophy trucks to convert to this knuckle lol. Look at how good their steering issues are. Regaurdless, the knuckles are still ridiculous. Its not like we are driving them on super smooth pavement. Most people driving utvs on the west coast are dry dirt speed type and East coast are freaking mud, rock crawling, hill climbing tree running river bed ect.

Yes. It is quite a step up from the talon trans
