If you like babs.....pretty face, pretty voice no real bassist talent. Sex symbol, she should be disappointed in the fact she's being sold as eye candy. Gtfo out if you think her playing ability is talent.
Yes they are very very good. And in the same time I distinctly hear a separate sound of keyboard and see no keyboardist. Maybe the guitar is looped through the pedalboard. I don't know, it's strange.
Discovered Khruangbin at its Coachella 2019 debut. Best show of the festival. Epic. Through their creative progression since then, it appears a critical element of Mark's and Laura's chemistry/mystique has been removed from their show: Their mysteriously whispering to each other, their prolonged eye contact, which was smoldering hot.

Bennie and the Jets! That was WRECKING my head. Something you know you should know, but it just won't come. I spent 15 minutes flying through Wings' back catalogue, sure it was from in there. Thanks for sorting that out. 😉
Saw them @ Anthem DC in March 2Q22 and they were even better than advertised. Real chemistry and connection with the audience and each other. So glad I went to see this band live; they are an Experience not to be missed.
He's doing the musical magic, yet she steals the show. She is beautiful, she's got the moves, and, of course, she can do her job very well. And all of this while smiling to the crowd. Find me another woman in the music business who checks all these boxes! This is why more than half the comments are about her, not the music (which is amazing btw). This is why more than half the man are in love.
The technically proficient end may be somewhere else, but there's little doubt this is the hottest bass player in the world. And a celebration of great music.
What’s crazy is the Bass Player has a really cheap knock off fender bass that she bought off Rondomusic years ago while in college and she says she has never changed the strings ever, and has had the same strings on her bass for years!!! Totally blows my mind!
@@Funkojazzist 100 percent true! To be fair I have a banger Strat that just sits in the corner to grab right away (my other expensive guitars get put right away) and on the Banger Strat the strings have been on for years! I do how ever use one fast frets by GHS before and after I play and really adds to the snappy life of the strings!
Actually, I think it's a 1968-1969 Fender Telecaster Bass. I have a '69 and it looks identical. Telecaster Bass is a rare item and a great guitar. I've changed strings once - in 1974.
@@eml5086 it’s a SX bass she bought off of Rondomusic. She did the Rig Run down on premier guitar and she tells the whole story about how she bought the bass in college and never changed the strings. They do the rig run down with her and her guitar player! The both of them keep it simple!
@@jcalzada74 But the live performances also? Or only the studio-recorded ones? I’m searching for a video of Khruangbin where they play a reggae medley, including ‘Police In Helicopter’ and ‘Night Nurse.’ I saw it last year on TH-cam and have never found it again. If anyone knows, please give me a hint.
That’s so true! I used to have this habit, but I’ve also seen many rare videos fade into oblivion. Thankfully, I managed to find the one I was looking for. Ironically, it's from this very channel. The reggae medley starts at the sixth minute. th-cam.com/video/5UDuFTLGPGA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=n76PI2w1HWTYOojE
@Travis Lopes I'm quite sure that at 00:36 Laura notices that you are recording this video. 00:38-00:39 she checks your position again between focussing on her bass and she makes that move at 00:40-00:42 especially aimed at you. #MyMan 😉😌🤝🙌
What device did you use to record this? The audio quality is pretty incredible for a mobile capture. Each instrument cutting through the mix really well.
Probably just an iphone. The levels on their instruments are just so perfect and crisp live that recordings come out well. My recordings from my phone when I saw them sound pretty close to this.
Is he doing the chords and lead parts at the same time or is he using like a loop delay for those parts? Either way it seems brutally complicated to pull that off live

I was right there for this show. These kids are the most underrated " 3 piece chicken dinner" in music these days. Best show I've seen in a while.
Dont worry they'll stick aroun'...

yeah but still
When I thought I couldn’t love ‘Summer Madness’ anymore……here they come 😊
You know you’re a bad man when you the play drums with one hand and keys with the other and still stay on beat.
Randy Foxe of Manilla Road would do it as well. Blew my mind.
I was so blessed to be there right at the stage for this. They made a HUGE fan tonight. I love discovering new music 🎶 😍🙌❤️
Great to be able to hear the bass so clearly.
