  • "Invite the possibility of transformation" as designer Carlos Couturier takes you on a tour of Terrestre, A Member of Design Hotels in Oaxaca, Mexico.
"I like to think of travel as a ritual."
Inspired by the elements of light, wind, water, and time, Couturier designed the 14 villas to help foster "an intentional interruption to life's rhythms" for each guest.
The result is a hotel that has the utmost respect for the environment, right down to the clay for the bricks: created with materials from the land and crafted by Mexican hands. It's a place that "puts you back into the essence of life."

I watched this video in my hotel this past weekend. There is so much wisdom in this man's words. The message of intentionality and design extends far beyond hospitality.

Can anyone tell me where can I find the music they used, particularly during the hamam scene?

This is a beautiful inspirational personal and professional life story type of commercial, he's totally on another level of consciousness, but I'll bet that what depicted of the narrator's childhood, is trying to be too politically correct. He talks about spending summers on his family's citrus farm, and he has a clearly French last name, but look what's depicted about it instead, besides the idea of building an incredible original befitting design and all local materials and artisanship used, Hamam in Mexico. No important vegetation removed, all natural environment respected. Joining ancient cultures. I can't stop watching it over and over again, listening to every single word that he says. "Hotel Terreste is quite radical", proceeds to explain why. Immediately begin to detect and align with his high level of consciousness. Interstellar.
