the Mark 23 is by all accounts the best designed sidearm in small arms history. The mean rounds between stoppages is nothing shy of astounding. The military durability test was actually modified several times during the adoption phase, and no matter what they couldn't break the gun. The Seals and Green Berets still use it too. The LAM looks much different now, however.
When they showed the guy in he suit jumping out of the car and firing the briefcase gun, my first thoughts were "It's Albert Eisenstein!" XD I never knew he was such a badass.
Man do I remember Hk from the 90's. I had an SP89, P9S 9mm & 45, P7M13 and USP 40. later on I would get a 91, 93 and 94 but I had to sell off some of the pistols to do so. Therefore I never had them all at once. Although I have moved on from Hk, they sure are some cool guns indeed.
A long with the Hk's I had a Steyr AUG Police model, meaning it had black furniture and a 16' barrel and I shot the hell out of it for eight years. By 2005 I sold the AUG and Hk's and got in to Sig 556 rifles for a couple of years. I have come 360 degrees and for the past five years I just shoot Colt AR-15s. I've got 5 different AR variations including a couple of M4 carbines and AR15 A4's (M16) topped with ACOGs. To date, these rifles and optic combos are by far the best shooting guns I have ever owned. Plus the AR15 weapons design is still going strong, unlike the roller locked design of the Hk rifles. The AUG kinda holds its own but there is a reason the US military hangs on to, and relies heavily upon, the AR platform. They are ultra light weight, simple, accurate, reliable and you can easily mount anything on them. As for pistols, I have relied upon Glocks as my primary pistol for the past 12 years or so. Of the four Hk pistols I owned, two of them experienced parts breakage. This was the P9S 45 and the P7 M13. I have owned many pistol designs but only the 1980's era Hk pistols have actually flat out broke on me, which is unacceptable. Now days its all about Glocks, Colt 1911's and S&W 357's. These guns work. Cheers
Nothing! Do your own thing man! I use to own FNX, M&P 40c, Ruger American Pistol, KImber 1911 and 2 Glock 19's. Got rid of them all except the Kimber and moved on to the HK's. Lol!! I absolutely love'em!
I love HK Weapons. I picked up an SP5k this past year and am in the process of doing an SBR and suppressing it. Even as it comes in a pistol form it’s a badass weapon. I peppered a paper plate at about 15yrds right out of the box with no zeroing done and while pulling the trigger as fast as possible. HK makes the best products and their prices reflects their quality.
+Dan Volkov First off bolt guns and lever action are not battle rifles. So for this, a battle rifle, is going to be a semi or fully automatic rifle, firing full size rifle cartridge, like the 7.62x51mm NATO. They usually hold a capacity of 20 rounds, has high recoil and medium rate of fire like 400 to 600 rounds per minute. An assault rifle on the other hand, is a rifle firing a intermediate cartridge like the 5.54x51mm round. It usually feed from a 30 round magazine, has little recoil and has a high rate of fire, like 700 rounds per minute. Also select fire capability. Hope it helped you know the difference between an assault rifle and a battle rifle. Of cause there a other, differences between the guns, but this is the basics.
You do know that a 7.62x51 mm (.308) is a cartridge that has been necked down from a 30-06 right? Therefore it's not a full size rifle cartridge, that actually makes it an intermediate cartridge. You can argue if you want, but just remember that the Germans designated the round that the STG-44 fired as an intermediate cartridge (that's where the idea came from) because it was a necked down round from what the Mauser K-98 fired, and the STG-44 fired a bigger round than the G-3 does. 7.92×33mm (STG-44) VS. 7.62 x 51 mm (G3)
19:43 Why would you ever want to use this when the main advantage of this weapon is low recoil and full auto? I mean I know civilians can't have auto without paying like 30K but I mean for police/government use.
Knightrem 10 I wasn't sure. It seemed strange to me that they would have bought them but I never heard them being under contract or anything. I guess it is like Colt contracting with FN to make M16 rifles and all. Thanks for the heads up.
In the 1980's 'till the late 1990's, H&K agreed to market and import Benelli shotguns for them. Benelli now imports and markets their own products without the help of H&K. However, H&K marked Benelli shotguns now command a slight premium because of this.
Thats what I love about 80's advertisments: they are respecting potential clients and trying to tell about the product as much as they can, also showing how their stuff working. And of course good speaker who really cares about what he is trying to sell and makes right intonational focuses to keep the client attention
I love Hk but I’ve had to ditch the brand. Just too fucking expensive. I wanted a semiauto 12 gauge but the Super 90 is over 2k. So I’d choose the VEPR-12. I wanted a piston AR and the MR556 seemed like the obvious choice. But I got a POF AR for $1k less than the Hk. I love their pistols, but I’m now staring to be perfectly happy with a Glock. If Hk wants to make affordable guns in the US, great. But I feel like many people simply can’t afford to support Hk
I like the limited edition MP5 chambered in 10mm 40cal is such a dumb fuckin stupid round .Doesn't make sense if it can't drop a bad guy. I shot wild hogs with 40cal at 30-40 yards it didn't do as much damage needed and recoil was pointless.
I see your point. I think the use of 'coke' pronunciation is to mimic how the word sounds when spoken by a German. Even though this is not exactly correct, its the easiest way for some folks to say the name with American dialect.
@@surely0you0jest - Sorry to say, but the German manner of pronouncing KOCH is nothing like 'Coke'. It is as follows: th-cam.com/video/mJaw02iPbqo/w-d-xo.html
We don't think they are pistols, we call them that because our government classifies them as pistols. We don't add stocks very often because it reclassifies it as a short barreled rifle which requiring paying a tax and a huge background check to do legally. Without a stock they are classified as a pistol which requires nothing but a background check. Now there are some "Braces" we can add to them that do not reclassify them and are similar to a stock. There's been a lot of debate on the legality of touching them to your shoulder though.
The pistols have always been available, but you can thank the Federal Government for banning the importation of foreign made military style rifles in 1989 (also, new transferable select fire weapons were banned in 1986). HK Gmbh had nothing to do with this legislation.

Fine weapons

The HK21E would be a perfect home defense weapon. 7.62/.308 is clearly overkill, but 5.56/.223 would be perfect.
Thanks for uploading this!
I used to have a few HK's, but had to sell a few. I still have my 1990's catalogs

I love the 90's!
This video from H&K looks like it was filmed during the mid 1990s or no later than in '97 or '98.There's no G-36 or UMP submachineguns.
G36-1995
UMP-1998
This was filmed in 1997
The G36 was a relatively new weapon being issued in 1997.
The MP5SD is the sexiest firearm ever produced. Solid stock only.
Collapsing stock G3 with a leupold
Zeiss is a better choice.
13:56. But the H&K G3 isn't a assault rifle, it's a battle rifle.

Garrett The police and Airport security in the UK use semi auto MP5s and MP7s, maybe for less collateral damage.
The best part of HK weaponry is that they're so reasonably priced. 😁
HK still offers international training??
13:55 so no one was gonna tell me G3's had grenade launcher attachments?!
