In today’s video we provide the first update on our Lotus Emira having the key external paint and ‘Black Pack’ sections protected with Paint Protection Film (PPF) at Topaz, Bristol. What do you think about using PPF to protect paintwork?
I've used Bristol Topaz for my Alpine A110S having the front end PPF'd and ceramic coated all over including the wheels. I found the service was top notch but you do pay for that quality. The Emira is looking lovely. Cheers, Kevin.
The doors is the common area for osmosis on the Emira, mine is rare to be related to the engine cover. Lotus will replace the doors for you under warranty. Speak with your local dealer, they will arrange for you.
I spoke to Lotus about this and that is not the case. The paint osmosis was caused by a reaction between the composite materials used in the panels and the paint.
You mentioned you'd get into how much you paid "in the next video" -- but no discussion of it here. If you're going to state it's the cheapest, talk about it!

Happy that you got past all the negative head space and kept your eye on the prize....excellent spec. Nimbus I4 coming soon to the states.
Thanks…I always loved the car it was Lotus that caused all my issues.
How much was the paint protection? I'm in Northern Ireland so just hoping to gauge the costs.
Prices differ substantially… you’ll need to request quotes.

Yes never cheap for quality service.
Did you manage to get Lotus to resolve the bubbling on the tailgate ?
In progress...video dropping soon with an update.
I have just bought a Lotus Emira and have the same issue with paint bubbling on the doors.

My mate had the 3rd cat delete sounds so much better now. he had the paint bubbles so lotus repainted the car and fitted new doors for better drainage
The paint issue for the doors is not due to drainage it is due to a reaction with the composite materials and the paint.
@@RichReviews_ They changed the doors due to water not draining out properly
