Paul Cooper tests Foil Drive Gen2 Slim Performance run time

- A realtime video from start to finish showing how long the Foil Drive gen2 Slim performance battery lasts. Used the Foil Drive app and set power to low and turned off boost mode.
I’m 6’0 and probably about 185lbs or 84kg when I shot this. These figures are just to give you an idea about the factors that go into the ride time of this particular battery.

My slim last 10 waves about 1 hour. I paddle + 25% auto mode to get to the point , then turning on to get on the wave. If I just use it on 80% power all the time to get to the point, then the ride time is 10 minutes or 3 waves in my surf spot. Note I purchased a total of three batteries and solar panel, hence I can ride until my body can,t foil any more. It takes me about 10 minutes to swap and have a drink. I wished I purchased the max. 20 cm mast set up

@@johnnguyen8535 because when you order you need to choose , I am new to foiling, hence I chose what is recommended in foil drive tutorial video.
I don't think I want it any longer because I don't want to e foil, I want to foil.

So glad I chose the max power 😅 i almost went for the slim but o boy I would be burning trough this battery in 10 minutes
The Slim was my favorite at first....but I hate to leave the water once I am having fun in the waves. 🤙 Run time wins over the slight weight advantage

Great videos! Are you using the two blade or 3 blade prop? At 150# myself, I currently have the 2 blade and on a 37 liter board. Any reason for me to upgrade to the 3 blade? Thanks
I use a 3 blade. I’m 185 and can’t even efoil with a 2 blade
@@paulcooperfoilsthanks for the reply. I pop up easy on waves and no problem on flat water with the 37 liter board, on relatively small wings so I’m guessing the move to 3 wouldn’t make a huge difference, maybe help in low battery pop ups.

@@paulcooperfoils this awkward hip movement people used to do back in the days, they even had those world records of how long you can do this funny movement without stopping :)
