Thanks for posting these. Good God these are horrible. America has always been a sewer in many aspects, including advertising. Thank fuck I was only 12 in 1978 and these ads just rolled off my back by my being innocent and naive and not noticing how lame they were. All ads from when I was a kid and through the 80's and even now. These days I avoid commercials by just watching downloads, but man, watching these ads is nostalgic and teeth-gratingly annoying at the same time. In a good way!

An ad for "Cum Gum" at 25:03. "She didn't know the gum was loaded." Hahaha holy fuck what wool got pulled over the sheep's eyes back then. Still happens now but just more blatant.

During the beginning of the video I was yelling, "tracking, tracking, tracking!!!!!!!"
I love these ads 😍 keep them coming.
Love it!!! Thank you!
I always pay more attention to the different style of fonts they used back then
Robert Urich was such a hunk! 😍
Lol, distributor interference lines on tv from old cars! AND at 16:59 the guy dancing is Ray Bolger who played the scarecrow in Wizard of Oz!
I love the 70s
Same here. There a certain feeling about how things were back then.
Awesome compilation
5:03 is that Tim Reid as the AAMCO transmission guy? Looks like him.
I love that you included the game show (Hollywood Squares) consolation prizes/sponsors at 30:40
I watch the old game shows with my son & the "prizes" are the funniest part! Rice-a-Roni, Turtle Wax 😂

The Old Spice Man wasn't Patrick Wayne. He was John Bennett Perry, Matthew Perry's father.
@@OofusTwillip Thanks Oofus. That was why I had the question mark there.
I got my first loan ever as a teenager from AVCO for a 19” tv.
Are you still paying it off? :)
@@TH-cam-tiednope 😂
7:26 recognized the track immediately. "Big Feature" from the KPM album _Impact_ (1172).

In the 70’s that’s what you had in the beginning of this video if you didn’t have cable, but rabbit ears. Lol. The old days.
