    I didn't think the day would come when I'd be so eager to hear even airport announcements. 😅 it's nice indeed that finally the requirement for quarantine has dropped, travel has FINALLY become more feasable. Business class too! Not even in my wildest dreams would I be able to afford that.

      Yes, I was so happy and lucky that the quarantine protocol was dropped when I travelled. It was an expensive ticket on Business Class. Keep dreaming sitting in that Class, who knows maybe 1 day……

    Thanks so much for this…. I miss my yearly charity trip to Pinas…. Can’t wait to go there again. Business class is now $6000. 😳

    Hi do they weigh ur carryon again at boarding gate?

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I remember in some of the flights I’ve taken, they did weigh my carry-on just before boarding, but this flight they didn’t.

    Are there apple / android USB ports at your seat and was there free wi-fi available ? Cheers

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was seated in Business Class so of course there are USB ports. But Philippine Airlines uses the new A350 so I’m sure they have them in Economy Class too.

    Does PAL still require face shield and mask in flight ?

  • @brooksdurham5285

    can you buy a one-way ticket through like Singapore Airlines and then buy a separate onward ticket from the Philippines to like Thailand or Cambodia to satisfy that requirement?

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That shouldn’t be a problem as long as you can provide that 2nd leg of the trip when you arrive. Meaning you can’t buy a 1 way ticket to Manila, then buy the 2nd leg of the trip in Manila. You MUST show outbound ticket UPON arrival.

    Does PR 119 still fly YYZ to MNL? I can’t seem to be able to book it or it’s not available?

    • @mollykicks

      Yes, they still fly DIRECT YYZ-MNL, its just NOT daily.

    Hi sir, about the self monitor. Can you go anywhere else in the Philippines while counting the 7 days self monitor after arrival? Thank you so much.

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, you’re free to go wherever you please while in self monitor. They advise you to report to your local LGU if you are experiencing any symptoms.

      ... Hi Sir is the self monitor same with the home quarantine protocol ? and you can go anywhere po in Philippines

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      really depends on the local LGU, some are strict that they come visit you to see if you’re really home during your home quarantine. Self monitor you’re free to go out and about and to report to your local LGU if you develop symptoms. I was fortunate enough that no-one came to check. But I am fully vaccinated with a booster, which is probably why they didn’t bother me. They probably check on the ones that are just partially vaccinated or not vaccinated at all.

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, pwede mona gawin kung anong gusto mo. Just report to local LGU if you develop any symptoms.

    What are process when they check vaccine cards and one pass. Did u have to have travel insurance?

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Process is very easy, just show your proof of vaccine and One Health Pass QR Code at airport check-in and you’re done! Travel insurance was not asked when I checked in.

    • @rfly81

      @@mollykicks thank you very much. How long did process take once you landing to the time u were able to leave airport

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not very long, about 30 mins, as long as your papers are in order. By the time you finish with Immigration and officials, the luggages were already off the conveyor and waiting for you. Pick-up luggages and clear customs and off you go.

    How long is your PCR is valid for?… 48hrs from the time of the test ? Or from the time you received the results? I am concerned about layovers/ missing a flight etc.

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The PCR Test is required within 48 Hrs from when you receive your NEGATIVE result, from my understanding. As far as layovers, some countries are more strict than the Philippines, so best to check with that layover/transit country.

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      correction…..the 48 hours applies to when you take the test and NOT when you receive the result.

    Im concern about the pcr test, it says you need negative result 48 hrs prior to departure from country of origin , so when i arrive in the Philippines it’s still valid i guess? Plus 1 day yun dba? Enlighten me please…

    • @mollykicks
      @mollykicks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, your PCR Test has to be taken within 48 Hours of your departure. If you have a direct flight like I took from Toronto to Manila, the 48 hour window is plenty of time. If your flight is not direct, best check with the country you are transiting through about time restrictions on the PCR Test, cause some country are more stricter in the rules than the Philippines even if it’s just a layover/transit.
