Wait, what if kris being the first fallen human plays into the 'your choices don't matter' concept in deltarune? Since all monster souls combined only equal 1 human soul, nothing kris / the player does can break the barrier, essentially making the endings all the same, with the monsters trapped behind the barrier no matter what you do. Maybe the genocide route allows you to 'change your fate' like the CH2 weird route does in deltarune?
Considering that Kris is the first SOUL now, I wonder if a hypothetical "The Old Switcheroo Yellow" (or The Old Switcheroo Red) would be a post-neutral sequel like Aftergore.
Someone else might have commented this at some point before but what if Toriel intends to do her plan from Undertale. Collect one soul go to the surface and attempt to gather the rest peacefully.
That makes a lot of sense. It means that, despite Kris being the first SOUL, their death is just as impactful as Frisk's would be - Kris is still "the last human that must fall before we can be free", since Toriel would go take the remaining six from the surface.
I... did not expect for Kris to be the first SOUL in this take. This could mean all the other humans either haven't entered the Underground, or are still in the Underground, just in hiding, which would make sense, seeing as the monsters of this version of the Underground seem to be a lot less hostile to humans. Also it means Clover is alive, which is pretty neat. Also I'm a firm believer of the theory of Kris's counterpart in UNDERTALE being the Cyan SOUL human, so Kris being the first SOUL to be obtained in an UNDERSWAP take is pretty ironic to me.
Not only that, Kris soul here is yellow, of justice, that would mean that all souls were switched. And that technically, if Clover fell, they'll have a patient soul.
@@SwarpsI think they mean that Kris would have the cyan soul, but since it's underswap Kris now has the yellow soul. And a yellow soul human ( Clover ) now has a cyan soul
Wait... Kris is the first? That's interesting. I'm not sure how the barrier will be destroyed without the power of 6 human souls, since the souls of all the monsters in the underground are equal to only 1 human soul.
This actually makes a TON of sense. In Undertale, Toriel said she would've just gotten one soul, gone past the barrier to get 6 more, and THEN break the barrier. Since Toriel is the ruler here, she actually goes with this plan.
@nicenoob12345 I'm talking about pacifist ending. In Undertale, Asriel used the power of 6 human souls and almost every monster soul (almost because Napstablook didn't get absorbed) to destroy the barrier. But if there is only one human soul, Kris' soul, then it is not possible in this AU
@zawdan666 I saw another person say that maybe this will be a mirror on Deltarune, where every ending is the same outcome, and the Genocide Route is a way to achieve freedom, like the Weird Route is.

Well guess kris is fucked by the narrative then. it all leads to nothing because nothing they did the choices they made, ever mattered. Just the 1st of seven, just a statistic, a number to go up. a mere object to be collected and used. What a pathetic end.
kris being the first soul needed to be gathered is something i did not expect but also should have expected with toriel ruling
Being able to hear the birds from the surface is such a nice touch

I like the use of those ambience samples that sounds exactly like the ones from "The Theme of C4" in LA JUPO.

i like the idea of kris being the first soul as a switcheroo to frisk being the last

So close, yet so far….

I wonder what the omega Flowey equivalent will be now? Can't wait for the ASGORE replacement either way
…I was joking on the last track but this works so well
Wait, what? Kris is the first human to come to the Underground after the original fallen human?
Second, given we know there was a previous human (most likely the one we made on the character select) that knew Asriel and possibly knew Gaster
