Having to relentlessly spare her is actually such a cool twist to stay in line with tori's character. You WILL recieve MERCY, a truly happy ending requires No compromises =)
This isn't as epic as ASGORE, but a lot more tense. You can tell from the first notes that Toriel REALLY doesn't want to do this. This theme fits her character so much
I just wanted to comment how much I like Kris character in this au. In every area they aways remember to "do the right thing", not exactally because they like the monsters(even when we know they do) But because killing is just plain wrong, they know even if the monster is annoying or incovenient, that they don't mean it or deserve it, and have families. And even with the battle against the queen, they hug her, not specifically to comfort her(even if the 3 dots make it seem like a reason), but to lower her guard and make their time easier. And that colder and more logical pacifist is something you don't see much in aus considering most time the protag doesn't express themselfs. Like, doing good things for their own good may seem like a bad thing at first, but just the fact Kris still went out of their way to do it when everything was against them, even if it was done just for less trouble later or because "they have to do it and be good", it still shows how good, kind and compassionative they are. (I always hated that thing of "you didn't do something good because you are 100% pure of heart that only want to see others happy while not caring about yourself, so that means you're a bad person" thing, like sure, that are some cases it work, but most times it doesn't) And It's also interesting if the 3 dots actually mean comforting Toriel was a reason but Kris ignored it and just thought they were doing that for themselfs, that could mean Kris doesn't like themselfs for the motive above, and is colder, thinking everything good they do is for some selfish reason. Or maybe I'm over analyzing their character based on few dialogue, most being just something repeated with a slighly alteration.
At the same time there's the dialogue for this ost, were they're sure that nothing good can be done, and that everything will endup bad for everyone they met. But even so, they think that in the future it could maybe change, that some new factor could appear out of nowhere. It's still the same thinking of aways, but instead of the innocent "everything will endup fine", It's the same rational thinking from before but in a more positive light.

This one in sounds less epic than the original "ASGORE", but it's equally as sad (And also, i think i've heard a hidden melody at 1:10-1:29, but i don't have sure) Only now i've noticed that the name of the song is referecing "fallen down reprise"

Best Toriel ASGORE by far, you can FEEL how much she doesn't want to do this. Excited for what comes next.
This is so slow and stately for an ASGORE replacement…I love it!
You mean "slow and steady"?
@ I mean, I guess? “Stately” comes to mind for Toriel.

Why does Alphys's leitmotif sneak in right at the end? Is she helping Toriel throughout the fight?
It's primarily because Alphys is the captain of the royal guard, similarly to how Spear of Justice is included at the end of ASGORE.

Nostalgia of how far both her and Asgore have fallen from grace. Longing for a time before her rule, back when she still saw good in Asgore.

If Toriel were to get Kris's soul would she do her plan from Undertale or something else?
