I am APPALLED that anyone would criticize you including your family stories! We cook and bake for others....our friends and family. My mother became totally disabled when I was 17. We took care of her at home for 34 years. I went there almost every weekend to do my parents shopping and cooking. I learned to make what she did. The best gift I gave them and myself was learning to do that. It made life seem normal. Now they are gone making the same food I've eaten for 59 years is a comfort. Please keep the stories coming! It feels like we are family as you said. God bless.

I came up with my own recipe for chicken and Rice-a-Roni from the box. I too make the rice as it says to except I only use a larger can of chicken. I drain it and use that liquid in the rice as that cooks. I also add the chicken from the can that I have broken up into smaller pieces. And I simmer it all for 20 minutes until it's done. No baking mine as it cooks in the pan at the same time. It's always moist and heated through.

I find that if I put the seasoning pkg in the rice & stir for a minute or so, then add the water, it's much more flavorful!
This looks so good, will make it soon. By the way thanks for the tip , using powder on a grease or butter stain, never heard that before. I always have stains on my clothes, I am a messy cook. Thanks Mama Sue.

If you add half the seasong pack, it cuts down on the sodium. And, flavor..lol. but it helps if you have to cut salt. Poppy Seed casserole is good, with chicken and Rice a Roni..similar. ❤

I just found your videos. You need a show. I felt like I was sharing recipes with a friend. I will watch you from now on. You made my day. Also, I make almost the same casserole. I do all you did but I microwave 2 pouches of Uncle Ben's microwave wild rice mix and a can of cream of mushroom soup in addition to the rice-a-roni, cream of chicken, sour cream and chicken. . It is my family's favorite casserole. You just need a much larger casserole! Look forward to my next "visit".

Rice a rice a roni casserole
Love this recipe, looks so good, will definitely be making it soon. I was curious why you don't use a regular video camera as it would be easier to see on TH-cam. I use my phone for videos but they show up full size on TH-cam so was curious why yours doesn't. I have an Iphone so maybe it's just because we use different phones.
Hi! First time watching, really enjoyed, loved hearing about your family! I made this casserole a couple of weeks ago and it was easy and good! My recipe called for adding steamed spinach which I didn’t do. Half went into the freezer to enjoy later. Looking forward to watching more of your videos, I’ve subscribed!
