    Charming report. I could only disagree with one thing; the climate in Mexico depends on where you are. In the Central mountains where I lived for two years it can be quite cold in the winter months at night and in the hours before noon. I moved there from Miami and almost regretted it because of the cold but I got used to it. Even Mexico City can be chilly jacket/sweater weather in the mornings.

    I’m planning on relocating with my wife and two children to Buenos Aires. What should I expect to pay for a good standard 3 bedroom 60 square meter flat near the city and with greenery? We’d also like to walk to shops and restaurants if possible and within close distance to good schools. Would appreciate your input

    • @efcanalytics8358

      well, let me start by schools. Public schools can be good only in Secondary school so after yr 8 on specific schools. I would say Nacional Buenos Aires and Pellegrini are the two you should target however getting in is not easy need to do an entry exam. For primary up to yr 7 public schools I would not know. Private schools The neighbourhood of Belgrano has great bilingual schools and I mean really great, excellent level of English plus hard technical skills. Cost is about 350 USD a month at current black market exchange rates. Children educated there are top notch world wide many of the 11 unicorns in the country come from those schools plus many many very well regarded people in the world in almost any field but especially technology and finance. Some of the top schools in the Area St Brendan's, Sworn, St Margaret's, St Catherine's of which likely St Brendan's is the best. One note is there are four other schools in the top that are outside this area Northlands, Newman, St George's and St Andrew's. Worth Noting Northlands is by far the best for girls. Among their alumnus you can find: Queen Maxima, Cayetana Alvarez de Toledo, Any Taylor Joy and a huge number of additional very well known women it seems they are extremely good at tailoring girls there to be uber diligent as well as self confident. The list of schools would go on but these are probably the best. If you want to live in the City definitely consider the schools in Belgrano there is transportation from downtown to Belgrano organised by the schools.
      Regarding living the city is huge definitely I would consider Recoleta and Barrio Norte for traditional city living and you woudl get transportation to the schools in Belgrano. Then you have Barrio Parque super upscale and a large neighbourhood and Puerto Madero quite a new and expensive neighbourhood as well. Price per sqm would range between USD1500 to 2600 in normal apartments and above 4000 for high end.
      Rentals for a 60 sqm appartment will be around 350-600 usd a month at current prices but there is a thing with guarantees so not every body will be willing to rent it out on a monthly basis without a guarantee though it is possible to do it in about 20-30% of the landlords and of the remaining cases they will likely accept a payment in advance of 6 to 12 mos. As in any coutnry be aware of RE agents they will make up stuff at least some of them.

    • @gervasioalfaro5646
      @gervasioalfaro5646 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @SilverbugInc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@efcanalytics8358 thank you for the detailed information. In your opinion is it worth the garantía? What is the process to obtain this document?

    • @efcanalytics8358
      @efcanalytics8358 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@SilverbugInc it is usually a relative or a friend that signs the lease by which if you do not pay they are pledging a RE asset as a collateral to the rental obligation. The reason is the eviction process an take a year or more so landlords use this as a bargaining tool to evict faster or have someone respond for payment delays. As far as I recall these could be bought to people that do this professionally but I don't know how much it would cost nor exactly who does that. I always rented for a few months at a time and paid in advance. I think if you offer about 4 months in advance or you show foreign income they are likely to waive it. I would try filling a couple of applications. Younger landlords are likely to be open to rent without a guarantee to a good credit/trustworthy tenant. Older landlords are probably less prone. Also if you pay a little more on rent like 5-10% more or agreed in USD paid abroad or something along those lines it will probably work. The advantage of such a complicated financial situation is that many people will be willing to accommodate and be flexible to individual circumstances which is almost unheard of in other countries I lived. If you can show a stable foreign household income of about 4K USD that should be enough IMO.

    The flag colors came from the Borbon family family flag, not because of the sky. During beginning of the 19th century Napoleon invaded Spain. Most of the people in the viceroy of the Rio de la Plata decided to stay loyal to the Spanish king instead of serving the French. As a consequence the may revolution (1810) happened. As a symbol of alliance with the bit on company the flag was made using the same colors, one light-blue stripe and one white stripe. After a couple of years the 3 stripes flag was adopted. Cheers!

By 2008, there was plenty of trouble. But when I returned in 2010 for a visit, I was immediately robbed. If you travel or settle in Argentina, you better watch yourself! Thieves are on every corner, and they will follow you for hours while they plan their attack on you. Do not let them follow you home!

      Just visited Argentina in January to visit family there. And they constantly warned me about being robbed.
      Curious one night I started looking up Statistics about crime rate in Argentina verses USA.
      USA is ranked above Argentina in crime rate.
      You just have to be aware of your surroundings like anywhere.
      I told my relatives in Argentina you might get robbed but at least there is a reason behind it.
      Here in the USA you could randomly be killed in a mass shooting. It happens so often that I have lost the ability to follow them after the mass killing in a movie theater in Colorado then it was a trend here in the USA.

    Living in Argentina is much harder than it looks. The salaries are actually very low, and the inflation rate is up to 50% annualy. Yes, if you're someone who gets paid in US dollars or in euros (or any foreign currency), your life will be wonderful due to the devaluation of ours. However, for argentinians, every month is harder to keep up.
    Insecurity is something I must mention in this comment. I can't even explain how bad it is, mostly in the zones surrounding Buenos Aires. Murders, robberies... every single day. And I'm not exagerating.
    Even though it's a super diverse country, with a culture I love very very much, the corruption (politicians are our doom), narcotraffic, insecurity and economic issues... I do not recommend living in here. Not for now, at least. Maybe when we recover, someday...
    If you fall in love with our culture (something that happens very often in foreigners), I invite you to stay, of course! But if you are looking for a confortable and stable place to settle, let me tell you, this is not your place I'm afraid.
    In 2021-2022, there has been the highest migration rate in a long time (maybe in history), all young adults and teenagers, looking for a better life in Europe, Uruguay, the US and more. So, sadly, our politicians have destroyed the country, making us want to leave.
    It is very, very sad because I love Argentina, but I'm still hopeful that someday in the future, we will rise up again :)

    My understandings:
    Pros:
    Meat (Various types of Meat, oftenly considered extremly delicious in South America)
    Football (Its Journeys in world cups, Libertadores Cup, Copa America and More, despite we can say it took 28 years for Argentina to achieve something new in National Footbal Team)
    Beatiful Nature (We all understand this)
    Cons:
    Little security (The Robbing is basicly a sport in most of this country)
    Inflation (The dollars only serve you for a while, and then all goes downhill if you didnt get a good enough job)
    Terrible Work of Goverment (Basicly doesnt do anything to repair it. It can be considered the cause of most of the problems, specially the implemented ideology of statism)
    Often good education missing (We could say it varies in Public and Private school, but i do not know very well this part)
    Limitation of Secure Areas (If you go thourgh dangerous or Incorrect Area, your possiblities of get lost or get kidnapped or robbed are higher.)
    Climate change (It is a really forgotten thing, but if the worst proyections happen, Buenos aires would be underwater in a few decades. Some people say we have 5 years to revert climate change. Do you think we will do it?)
    Recomendation:
    - Use with Knowldege your Dollars
    - If you want Visit Argentina do it, but try not to move to this country unless you have to.
