Using natural oils for scalp massages really works in hair fall control. Oils such as coconut, onion, as well as rosemary can be particularly good. I mix a few drops of rosemary oil to my liitlexteral cocoonian shampoo & hair oil together, which this really worked in getting good hair growth.
In my opinion, Cocoonioon shampoo is people who are experiencing hair fall due to using low-quality shampoo as it actually reduced my hair fall. It’s natural, but the smell is okay types, and that’s just my personal opinion. The shampoo gave my hair a nice feel without a waste of money. I bought this product when it was low price. This review is just my opinion, and it may change for you.
Thank you for this Andrea, hair loss can be devastating. My hair went from really thick to 50% less although lots of people didn’t notice I did and it made me really anxious every time I brushed my hair or washed it to see all the hair that came out. And you never know when it’s going to stop and how much you’re going to lose. So I really appreciate this thank you x
It’s very depressing. I’m currently suffering from post Covid fair loss. My husband is as well. The amount that comes out during washing, just by running my hands through it, or adjusting a pony tail. It sucks. And it makes me sad. But I’m trying diff things and just trying to remain hopeful.
@@dandylion9998 I’m so sorry to hear that I didn’t realise that that was happening after having Covid. It is depressing, and it’s scary I think because every time you wash or brush your hair and hair comes out you worry when it’s going to stop or if it’s going to stop. My heart goes out to you ❤️
Have you found out what the cause is. I've had blood tests galore and they have all come back perfect. I'm at such a loss and the Dr's aren't helping at all.
I literally smiled when seeing this video , I suffer from PCOS at only 18 , and read about how testosterone causes hairloss and waited for a video to have answers !
I'm 98% sure my hair thinning is due to permanent hair color. I started coloring back in 1998. I was coloring about every 3 to 4 weeks... stupid. Then, in 2005, I noticed my hair thinning on the top of my head. And my scalp began feeling itchy and hot if my scalp got hot. And, it gets very red but no flaking. I have tried just about everything you're mentioning in this video, and nothing works. I even got the PRP treatments and steroid injections. In the back of my mind through the years, I always thought it was the hair color, but 3 of the dermatologists that I saw said that they didn't think that was my problem. But they can't tell me what is. Currently, I've decided to stop coloring, and my doctor prescribed me Oral Finasteride 2.5 mg. and Minoxidol 1.25 mg. Daily, plus I will continue using my iRestore Low Level laser hat. I heard you mention that the Finasteride was for men. Should I ask my dermatologist to prescribe me Spironolactone instead? I would be grateful for any suggestions.
I had severe hair loss over the course of 6 months. Lost about 40% of my hair. I tried everything! Had labs done and everything came back good. I also never got Covid. I will say though that the hair loss started right after I got jabbed. Not sure if it is related as my doctor "couldn't" confirm that. After feeling so hopeless about it, I started to eliminate dairy and gluten from my diet, taking a multi-vitamin + 4000 IU's of Vitamin D and started using rosemary oil on my scalp and ends every day (using castor oil as a carrier oil) and my hair is FINALLY growing back. I started this back in October and it took a full month to see results. I highly recommend giving it a go. If you do, be patient with it. I know that is easier said than done! Good luck to everyone experiencing this issue. It's so exhausting!
My situation sounds the exact same as yours. The start of my hair shed lines up with when I got the vaccine. Haven't had covid and blood work came back normal. Has your hair shedding normalized? This is emotionally exhausting
@@meganwalsh7135 It is! I'm so sorry you are struggling with this too. :( It has normalized or at the very least, gotten better. I was shedding upwards of 300 hairs on wash days but I am closer to 100 now. On days that I don't wash, it's very low...maybe 20 or so. I've been keeping a log and the amount of shed has decreased each week. Good luck with it and please write back here if you have any questions about it. I know how exhausting it is to go through and I'm happy to help anyway I can!
@@curlygurlxo The vitamin regime actually started way before the labs which is why I believe my labs were good. Should have phrased that better. Thank you for your concern, though.
i noticed less hair fall after three months of using littleexttra reactivate hair serum. I apply it every night and rinse it off with plain water in the morning. I also apply cocooonion oil and shampoo once a week and apply an avocado mask once every two weeks. Doing this regularly has made a big difference, and I'm seeing new hair coming in in several areas of my head
I experienced extreme hair fall around 6 months ago. For the past 6 months, I have been using reactivate hair serum, and I have noticed a nice reduction in hair fall. Moreover, the hair thinning issue is also managed well.
Been on ORAL minoxidil 2.5mg daily for two months…my hair is noticeably thicker and longer…and my blood pressure stopped creeping up. Life changing. Praise God. Of note, I’ve also been eating more throughout the day…I think nutrition and protein intake play a big role. Be careful with calorie counting and restricting diets …your hair and nails need plenty of nutritious food!
I am a 66 year old female with hair loss for the past 15 years and have been to dermatologists, internists and endocrinologist. I’ve tried oral finasteride, spironolactone, hair max light therapy, Viviscal, topical minoxidil and regular monitoring of Hashimotos with thyroid meds all to no avail. I do not have the typical female pattern hair loss with widening part and the doctors have not come up with a “diagnosis”, with my endocrinologist saying she doesn’t believe it’s from the thyroid. The only possibility is a consistently low ferritin level. It is incredibly frustrating!
You sound like me I’m 52 and I’ve tried most of what you tried to no avail. During the pandemic I stopped dying my hair and my hair stopped shedding is much thicker now.
Have you tried castor oil? Castor oil can help and its a anti-inflammatory which hashimotos can cause inflammation. Also a lot of doctors are not properly testing and treating hashimotos and thyroid issues. Which will prevent hair growth. I know this because i was born without a thyroid and my mom has hashimotos. They need to be doing a full thyroid panel and not just checking tsh which most doctors only check tsh
One thing that's worked for me, and seems to work for tons of people on hair loss forums is: pumpkin seed oil. Men & women, it just seems to actually work. And it's super cheap, any brand.
The dermatologist I seen said Regaine was the only proven method to regrow hair but as it's temporary I'd be better with wigs. Gonna watch your take on it later when I have some free time

Thank you as always for all of your great information . I was having significant hair loss with male pattern baldness, and overall serious total hair shedding. I started using Nulastin ( not inexpensive) in mid August. I also changed shampoo to a Bumble and Bumble product. Progress was slow but steady. I also used the Nulastin on my thinning eyebrows. My hairline is 85 % restored and new growth continues. The shedding has stopped and my eyebrows have filled back in. The bonus is the new hair that comes back is my original color and not gray! Nulastin is something I will always have to use but I can reduce to once daily after I get to my goal. Well worth the investment. I am 67 and this has been such a confidence booster.
Thanks for the videos Dr.Dray, i was wondering if you can share some videos on changes in hair texture? What can cause someone to suddenly grow random kinky/ cork-screw shape hairs and hairs with bumpy shafts (not knots, more like bumps) in certain areas of the scalp? I have looked into it and it seems like vitamin C deficiency has role in that. It would be good to have a dermatologist's opinion and expertise on this topic!
Hi Dr Dray, when having reached my hairgoals using 5% minoxidil, do i need to continue using 5%, or could i switch 2% minoxidil for maintenance? The 2% foam is more accesible and more affordable where i live.
I had surgery to make my stomach smaller. After approximately six months, my hair started falling out. I really freaked out. I live in Australia and we don't have the products you mention. However, I was introduced to Nioxin shampoo, conditioner and treatment and it's done wonders though I have to wash my hair daily. I also take A-Z of vitamin supplements which helps as well. That surgery isn't for the faint-hearted . I add my thanks to the long list of thank yous on this site for your tremendous work. Your advice is fabulous.
I'm struggling with hair loss after covid, but i'd say the stress from almost losing my mom because of covid was the main trigger. It's been half a year and I've had enough. I've been using rogaine 5% for two weeks now and still at the phase where i seemingly lose even more hair than usual. I can see my scalp and it's so frustrating and I just need an outlet. I hope this will pass...
Same here. I lost my brother to COVID and had it myself (including COVID pneumonia). The stress, grief, and guilt after losing him, then in quick succession, his dog and my best friend of 45 years, and then experiencing a plethora of serious health crises, resulted in my losing half of my hair.
@@rosemorris7912 I know how to reverse hair loss and get back to having beautiful, strong, natural, silky hair, and best of all, you don't need to apply any product.
I’ve had post Covid hair loss for nearly 2 years now and it seems to be getting worse… so maybe it’s more than Covid causing this loss? Although if it is Covid-related then I don’t think standard hair loss treatments are going to work because I really believe that even with vaccinations in time… I think Covid is still in our system so I think the healing process is to start from the inside out and I don’t think we know what that is yet. It’s been a bummer. But I’m also counting my blessings. It could have all been much worse. May we all find help. 🌼
I was on minoxidil for 14 years and stopped it because I was just so sick of my head being itchy. When the hair starting coming all out, I forgot how devastating it was and quickly went back on it again. Still waiting for the shed to stop after 2 months, hope it stops soon.

I did rogaine for a year and my hair got super thick again almost too thick(I didn't have bald spots but probably lost half my hair due to pattern baldness) HOWEVER 1 day I suddenly got tachycardia, my BPM was 170! These episodes lasted about a month(not 170 each time but 120+ (not high as 170) Then finally the episodes stopped. 2 times in the ER, and seeing two different DRs couldn't find out the cause..months later my dermatologist tried to tell me it wasn't the rogaine saying that was impossible as it doesn't go in to the blood stream.. so I decided to give rogaine(minoxidil) another shot.. by the 3rd day the fast heart beat was coming back, I called EMS again(not admitted though) as my heart rate went back down.. Yes minoxidil works, but I question how safe it is.. they tell you it can cause heart palpitations, but no this give me tachycardia.. since off minoxidil I don't get these episodes of fast heart rate like that anymore, but I can no longer drink coffee or it will trigger my fast heart rate.. I'm very certain the minoxidil was the cause of my tachycardia as I had no issues with thos ever in my life, and it did get better with stopping use.. I don't want to scare people away, as this may not be a issue for everyone.. But know that it is possible that it "can" happen to you since it did me. I stopped rogaine in November and the last month or 2 my hair is falling back out in gobs in the shower, and I have to use a towel wrapped on my shoulders when I brush my hair too because the fallout is that excessive if I don't hair will be stuck on my back/shoulders.

I get so much from your information as always, you're amazing. But must say on this video the music for me personally in the background although it's not loud was so annoying. Hope to just hear you voice solo.
@Phoenix 🔥 I don't think I have more hair or even thicker hair. What I have noticed is my hair loss has stopped. I used to have a gob of hair in the drain every time I washed my hair. That ceased quickly. I'm still using it every other day and that has remained the same - little to no shedding when I shampoo. Hope this helps you
Thank you for all your great information my skin thanks you tremendously!!! I have a question do you think salon hair care is better than drugstore haircare like shampoos and conditioners?
I’ve noticed some thinning in general. It doesn’t look like patter hair loss, though. I tried to see a dermatologist, but all three my GP recommended, are booked through April. I think I’m going to make appointments anyway, and if things resolve on their own I’ll have plenty of time to cancel. Three lucky people might get in right away if I do! Hoping you’re well, Dr Dray 🥰
As stated by Dr. Dray, using minoxidil is not a guaranteed solution - not everyone will experience hair regrowth. My question, will EVERYONE who uses minoxidil experience the initial hair LOSS regardless of whether or not minoxidil will eventually work for them?
The hair loss is only because it is working as intended. It doesn't just keep the follicles in the growth stage for longer, at the beginning it resets them so they go through the shedding and renewal stage. But tbh, if you are already thinning then a little extra shedding for a week or two isn't noticeable. They only mention it so you don't freak out.
Thank you for these. I got my restore a month ago and have been taking pumpkin oil for a few weeks. It's good to know I can combine a topical treatment too. I started noticing my hair was thining in my early 20's. Then mid 20's found out I needed thyroid meds, and had low vitamin d. But, eventhough I've carefully monitored thyroid, hormone and vitamin levels all this time, I still have the male pattern hair loss. If this doesn't work, I'll try injections and then transplants. I can't stand minoxidil. I've also recently learned that I have ADHD with a side effect of anxiety, so and working to stay on task, so I quit being so anxious about falling behind and get enough sleep (as I'm writing this during a work break)... I'm better today then last week. I have also tried wigs, but haven't figured out how to wear them comfortably all day.
Thank you for sharing this video, I’d suggest that you state that it’s for pattern baldness. There are so many fixes out there that a desperate person will grab to any hope when this will not work for everyone as you clearly say. I am going to try the irestore once my hair is accessed the end of Jan. Thanks again!
Hi Dr Dray, i'm always trying to enhance my natural curls whilst reducing hair loss. I came across a nettle shampoo which is supposed to help with hair loss but it does contain Wheat Amino Acids, Soy Amino Acids, Arginine HCl, Serine, Threonine. I'm worried these ingredients may straighten my hair.

Minoxidil really changed my hair back to its pre-menopause state. But I was still having periods of dramatic shedding. I seem to have stopped that with NuDerma Clinical Skin Therapy Wand - Portable High Frequency Skin Therapy Machine. It has a comb wand that you can use on your scalp.
Thanks so much for this detailed video . I purchased the iRestore pro , battery pack and the biotene w saw palmetto pills (3 month supply) . Here’s hoping 🤞
Hi Dr. Dray, can I see before and after photos of you using the irestore low-level therapy cap? I’m interested to see if or how your hair grew back in after using. Also, do you feel evidence of hair-growth while using it like a tingling sensation? Does it work, also, on the front part of the scalp by the part and along-the-sides of the part right where it forms a widows-peak? Right now I have thinning along the front part, but I want to know if the cap will hit that part, too, with the laser therapy.

My personal experience with excessive hair fall: About 18 months ago I began having a LOT of hair fall. Having curly hair, it already looks like a lot since no brushing throughout each day means normal shed hairs get "trapped" and come out all at once when I wash my hair. But this became clumps and is have a huge pile that I needed to hold in both hands. I had overall thinking and actual bald spots forming at my temples. My scalp also felt irritated & itchy a lot. Super long story short, I ultimately found out I had a few issues all at once. 1) I had become sensitive to several ingredients that previously hadn't affected me - certain preservatives & most artificial fragrances (so I now avoid them due to companies not having to list the components of the fragrance I have no way to know which will affect me or not) and 2) (and probably the biggest reason) I had multiple deficiencies, such as iron, vitamin B12, & low vitamin D. I started a very customized supplement regimen, not just of what I was low in, but some key "trace" nutrients that are known to aid in absorption of certain vitamins, and added flaxseed gel capsules for omega 3, 6, 9, and MSM which is a sulfur compound that has been shown to improve health of hair follicles (& also aids in joint health too). My shedding is less than it's EVER been, and the bald spots at my temples have almost fully filled back out (I can actually put my hair up without feeling self conscious now), and my overall hairline looks much better. It's a slow process, so I took photos every 2 to 4 weeks ago I could actually track the progress. I recently stopped taking the photos since I can now clearly see the difference.
How did u find this out tho what kind doctor u go to or what? I been shedding bad for 4 years now and I’m down to like half my hair idk what’s wrong with me
@@vickie8329 Just my regular primary care doc helped me with most of it. I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder, & I'm on thyroid hormones for life after having it removed, & at 1st I thought my thyroid levels were off & that's what was causing it. So I went to my doctor to have my levels checked, but everything was fine with those, but as part of the workup we did a vitamin level blood panel too, & that's how we found out I was deficient in several nutrients. (I'll get to how that was handled in a bit) Before & during this time, I had also started logging every single product I used every wash day, and would record all my results, including how my scalp felt & also how much hair had shed at the next wash. I wasn't having much luck figuring it out until about 5 or 6 months of doing this journaling, when I stumbled across something by chance. I had 3 wash days in a row in which my hair fall suddenly dropped down to about 1/4 of what I had been losing. At this point I had been on some vitamins for a little while, but knew it shouldn't account for the sudden improvement all at once. So when I looked over my record, I had used several different products (I have a hair product addiction) for those days, but the one thing in common was each wash I happened to use shampoos & conditioners that had zero synthetic fragrance or colors. I had known fragrance was a common aggravator, but I had been using fragranced products my whole life with no problem, so it didn't occur to me that I would have developed a sensitivity. I continued rotating thru those & my hair fall remained a bit high but still MUCH better than it had been. To test my theory I eventually used a shampoo & conditioner that had a strong scent. I ended up with contact dermatitis, not fun. My doctor was able to diagnose that. If you're sensitive or allergic to things, you tend to get progressively worse reactions, which is probably why just one use was that bad - plus I had cut that stuff out for awhile & my scalp had calmed down before I shocked it with that stuff. This is going to sound crazy, but I made an excel spread sheet & plugged in all the ingredients over all of those months so I could start checking other ingredients, & that's when I realized the "itchy M" preservatives were present in the products that irritated me the most. It was so spread out I hadn't realized it until the spread sheet. They have really long names & people Nick name the itchy M's since they start with the letter M & tend to irritate a lot of people. Some scalps are extra easy to inflame. Mine didn't used to be but it is now. So anyways that was how I figured out the ingredient thing on my own. Like I had said, this stuff overlapped with me seeing my doctor. All the vitamins I got were over the counter, & I focused (per my docs suggestion) on trying to buy them individually Since multivitamins already weren't going to have everything I needed anyways. It took awhile to see any improvement as far as how my hair looked, but my shedding became less & less over time. I had another lucky find when I had place an order thru a company called "curls" & they sent me 4 free bottles of their liquid hair supplement. Liquid vitamins are typically better because the pill form doesn't always get well absorbed by most people. Other than cutting out those ingredients I mentioned, this supplement was the biggest game changer. It's pricey but I just stock up everytime they have a sale. They run 25, 30 & even 40% off sales every so often, & I'll purchase like 4 bottles. Anyhow it's called blueberry blissful lengths, and has various vitamins & minerals, including the good B12 & not the B12 that's in almost all other vitamins. If you ever need B12, you don't want to get the "cyanocobalamin" one, it's garbage & our bodies don't absorb it well at all. "Methylcobalamin" is the good one. My doc told me to remember because cyanocobalamin starts with "cyan" like "cyanide" (poison). It also has some amino acids, B6, A, folate, MSM (just a tiny amount), & a couple others I can't think of off the top of my head. I take that every other day just to make it last a little longer, & I noticed this doesn't affect my results. (FYI, I got too confident at one point & stopped taking this, thinking maybe everything worked itself out. Within a couple of months my shedding started to increase. Not to an insane amount, but more than normal. I didn't get re checked out, I just started it up again & the excess shedding stopped pretty quickly) For the iron I take low dose iron (18mg) that are in those clear gelcaps. On the days I don't take that liquid supplement, I take a Vitamin C combo, that has Vit A, D, E, & zinc in addition to vitamin C. The flaxseed supplements I chose instead of fish oil due to the weird after taste I heard about with fish oil caps, & they're basically equal in omega fatty acids. The omegas are good for heart health & I came across studies suggesting it's important for hair health too so I chose to add that one. Same with the MSM. I take 4000mg daily of that, the max recommended dosage, & I worked my way up to that off the recommendations of several hair influencers on TH-cam. On that one I did check with my doc to see if it was safe, because most of the things I came across were anecdotal. He just advised me to slowly work up to the max, AND informed me that long term use of MSM can lead to low levels of selenium. I couldn't find a low dose selenium supplement, so I take a 200mg gelcap once a week. It's a trace mineral we don't need much of but we DO need it. I know this is a lot. I'm not really sure if the flaxseed or MSM is doing anything, but it's not causing me problems so I still take it, & like I said the omega fatty acids ARE actually good for you even if it doesn't actually help hair 🤷🏽♀️. Really the big thing is to go to your doctor & ask for a vitamin level panel, in addition to checking things like your thyroid levels. If you don't have insurance or otherwise aren't able to go to the doctor, then I would strongly recommend the curls blissful lengths supplement, because it doesn't have crazy high levels of things that could harm you in excess ( ie vitamin A is a must, but it's one of those you should only take a large amount of if you know your diet lacks enough of this), as it only has 25% of RDA for vitamin A & it has things that aren't really found elsewhere together in those dudes and without unnecessary other things, plus the liquid form is just better absorbed. But if you have any condition or medication you really should still check with a doctor, or even a pharmacist could at least let you know of any potential interactions. Obviously if you have a hormone issue, this may not help, but it might - often times hormone issues can cause issues with certain vitamin levels too, & maybe it will help a bit in the meantime. They sell it in CVS & Walgreens by me, but it's cheaper on their website & that's where they have the sales. It's $25 a bottle at full price. Hope this helps. Trust me I know how hard this is. Sorry it's so long but I wanted to try to be detailed

I work overnights and have not been getting a proper sleep and maybe not even enough nutrition, as well as being extremely stressed, but it still feels very early to develop balding unless I have some sort of underlying medical condition 😢 of course only a trip to the dr will confirm, but, fingers crossed i wont need hair loss treatments for the rest of my life when I'm still so young 🥺
Hundreds of thousands of people are doing microneedling at home and one can learn how to sanitize the area, tools and hand and use gloves. It is not a rocket science, infection and granulomatous formation can happen with an office treatment as well, as it is usually not connected directly to the procedure, but what happens afterwards, plus foreign body granulomas have been described for a lot of in office procedures as if you have the tendency to form those inflammatory response, you will.
Hi Dr. Dray ! What happens if i stop taking spironolactone? Will i experience hair loss again? Or will it just go back to how it was? How long will it take for the spironolactone's effects to fade? Can i just stop taking it or should i gradually lower the dosage? Are there any health risks related to suddenly stopping the intake or anything like that? Thank you for such an informative video and i hope you reply to me
Hi...may I ask what side effects u had on Spironolactone? I'm currently on oral Finasteride....just started a few days ago. Felt it would be less side effects but I don't know.
I have used topical Minoxidil for about 3 years now. My dermatologists told me that once you lose your hair, it doesn't grow back. Minoxidil can halt or slow down hair loss. However, no product can produce hair growth. Your thoughts? Thank you for another informative video!
I definately appreciate your honest opinion.. and you mentioning that laser therapy as FDA “cleared”… as a lot of them falsely advertise as “approved”.. as it’s said that the only “approved” procedures are finesteride and minoxidil.

I use the minoxidil & it’s helped WAY faster than. 6 months! I saw results in less than 3 months. However, its ITCHY to the scalp & makes a dander. just shampoo-more
Micro needling is the number 1 treatment . It is comparable to rogaine. Actually in tests it worked 1.5 × better than Rogaine. Combining them makes like 4 times the growth of rogaine alone. I've used a Cheap dermaroller alone for 3 months now and i have had thickening in my hair follicles. Looking forward to one year growth!.
@@psychotic.reaction Actually it is, at least for some people. I use a stamp at 1.5mm once a week and would say easily 25% thicker and more coverage after 3 months. There are published studies on it.
I tried spiro for 8 months. I already had low pressure and issues with fainting. My fainting got worse, my hair shed more noticeably, my periods can extremely heavy and suddenly had intensely painful debilitating menstrual cramps, when I never really got cramps before. I’m just one person sharing my experience - but I ask that if already have low blood pressure that you think twice. It’s been over 5 years since I stopped taking it and my period is still heavy with a lot of cramps. Personally - I say stay away. It’s not worth it.
I'm on Spiro now and I swear it's what caused my hair loss. My hair didn't start falling out until I started spiro and got worse when I went up in dose. I've lost over 50% of my hair and I didn't even start taking Spiro for hairloss. I'm slowly tapering off of it but I'm worried my hair won't come back. I also feel extremely dizzy when I stand up and my periods are long and frequent. I regret ever going on this medication

I follow you regularly, appreciate & have benefited from a lot of your skin care information. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! In regards to hair loss, I’ve seen a handful of videos in which you discuss this topic, but I don’t believe you’ve mentioned GHK-CU & its potential benefit for hair loss. It is available in topical & injectable versions. Could you please share if you have any knowledge &/or opinions regarding this for potentially helping to regrow hair.
Hi Dr. So glad I found your videos. Question for you. I have Hashimoto's. I've been aware of it for 7 years . I am on np thyroid. My symptoms of extreme fatigue, brain fog, and joint pain have never really lessened. I am gluten free for several years now and try to keep my sugar intake low. An acquaintance referred me to a dr who thought hot pellets would greatly help me. I started in jan of 2021. Received them again in June 2021. Not feeling any difference. I've always had great shiny very thick healthy hair. Even with my Hashimoto's. My hair has always stayed 100% healthy. In September 2019, all of a sudden my hair started shedding. With 3 weeks I was losing my hair at alarming rate. I asked my dr about it and she said she didn't know why that would be happening and gave me weekly b12 injections and said it was probably stress related. I trusted her and didn't really look over my labs..I asked for all my labs, and when I saw them my testosterone was 359! When I started with her my testosterone was in the normal range. I am 58 and entered menopause at 50. No problems with menopause at all. No low libido, no night sweats, no hot flashes or anything. I know now that all this testosterone she put in me is the reason for my severe hair loss. I went to another dr and am now on spiralactone, 50mg 2x a day. And I started minoxidil . Its been only 6 weeks for both...will my hair grow back? Can I do anything else to help? I am a wreck, depressed and feeling lost. I've been taking biotin, vitamin d3.b6..college powder. Please help! Sorry for this LONG post. But I don't know what to do. Thank you so much and happy new year to you.
It sounds like you’re on the right track, and that you are doing everything necessary. Keep in mind, it takes at least six months before you start to see the results.
Have you tested for other autoimmune conditions? Or ferritin, B12, Calcium Zinc? Are the hot pellets Testosterone? I don’t agree with the “takes months to see a difference” if something is working for hair loss that has not been my experience I believe this is a myth. Treatments can work fast to stop hair loss
QUESTION??? Can you go over what the difference is between the 2 different irestore units?? There is a big price difference?? Is the more expensive one worth it?? Thank you so much!!
I'm so glad that you mentioned oils for hair loss in your video. I'm watching all the methodologies one by one in your video thinking that I would never do any of them as they are invasive, have side effects and/or unknown side effects. Someone I know is using rosemary oil and they showed me a before and after video and I was blown away with the results (very good). I've been using saw palmetto oil and my wife says that my hair is definitely filling in. But I've switched to rosemary oil. I also found that taking saw palmetto supplements increased the thickness of my hair but significantly backed off that because of the dizziness it caused. Based on my own experience, if you do find a method that works, you'll find that it thickens hair where you already have hair but does nothing for areas that have gone bald or been bald for many years (as is often the case in men).
My dermatologist did put me on a small dose of oral Minoxidil, however, I experienced heart palpitations. I stopped immediately. This is why you must see a dermatologist before trying remedies!
Hello Dr Dray, I want to ask you can i use minoxidil with Ketoconazole 2% shampoo at the same time? do they cause any side effects together? Thank you and Happy New Year
Using natural oils for scalp massages really works in hair fall control.

Im suffering from samw problem 😔
@@shovakc9809 it’s so horrid. Hugs 🤗
I see a lot of patients with hair loss, and I love having resources to send them to. Thank you~
I literally smiled when seeing this video , I suffer from PCOS at only 18 , and read about how testosterone causes hairloss and waited for a video to have answers !
What to do?
I never found a shampoo that treats SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS so many suffering
I got my iRestore for Christmas. I’m going to use it with Rogaine and Rosemary oil. I don’t have hair loss just thin hair.
Are you seeing any results?
Did it work st all?
What kind/brand of castor and rosemary oils do you use and how long do you keep them on?
Curious why you started extra vitamins if you said your lab work was fine? Just be careful to not get too much.
@@curlygurlxo The vitamin regime actually started way before the labs which is why I believe my labs were good. Should have phrased that better. Thank you for your concern, though.
Dr. Dray, can you a video on hair bonding treatments such as Olaplex? I would love to know the science behind them ☺️
Yes, any info from DrDray about Olaplex would be greatly appreciated

i noticed less hair fall after three months of using littleexttra reactivate hair serum.
Are a female or male. I wonder if 2.5 would be good for me.
My dermatologist recommended ISDIN’s hair loss products. It’s shampoo, supplements, and a scalp spray. It seems to be working for me. Good luck!

Is this spam? Or what? 💀
If the hair is gray, thats your answer. Gray hair has a different texture
Please do a video on how to restore luster, moisture, and manageability to aging, greying hair!
I'm glad you're doing better.
Which Nioxin did you use?
I’ve heard that Saw Palmetto supplement helps because it’s supposed to block DHT in women. DHT can cause androgenetic alopecia.

I lost my brother to COVID and had it myself (including COVID pneumonia). The stress, grief, and guilt after losing him, then in quick succession, his dog and my best friend of 45 years, and then experiencing a plethora of serious health crises, resulted in my losing half of my hair.

I know how to reverse hair loss and get back to having beautiful, strong, natural, silky hair, and best of all, you don't need to apply any product.

I agree, when I tried using minoxidil, I felt extremely dizzy too. Hence I stopped immediately. It didn't feel worth it.

Hi Dr. Dray, unfortunately the Irestore is not in my budget. However the Mito300 panel is. Do you think I would get results from it?
I get so much from your information as always, you're amazing. But must say on this video the music for me personally in the background although it's not loud was so annoying. Hope to just hear you voice solo.
I bought an iRestore, only done two sessions so far. Fingers crossed I will see some thickening at the 16 week point.
Did I restore work for you as curious? Thanks
Hope this helps you
The background music you chose for this video was distracting. But otherwise, excellent video & thank you for the information.

Good luck! I can't find anyone in my area who even takes my insurance.
How are too doing now?
Would you be able to recommend a Ketoconazole shampoo and conditioner available in Canada? Thanks!
I really hated minoxidil I was prescribed a high strength one. I lost so much hair for 6 months and it didn’t get better so I stopped
What about hair loss for post menopause
I restore doesn't work threw my helmet out

Why didn’t you like Minoxidil? I’m thinking of getting treatment for hair loss.

Hi Dr. Dray, can I see before and after photos of you using the irestore low-level therapy cap? I’m interested to see if or how your hair grew back in after using. Also, do you feel evidence of hair-growth while using it like a tingling sensation? My personal experience with excessive hair fall:
About 18 months ago I began having a LOT of hair fall.
I been shedding bad for 4 years now and I’m down to like half my hair idk what’s wrong with me
Did the doc prescribe this or did u just get over the counter vitamins please let me know
@@vickie8329 Just my regular primary care doc helped me with most of it.
@@VengefulAngeI any update on how your hair is doing now? What you explained is almost exactly what I’ve been experiencing. Please let me know I would greatly appreciate it ☺️
I've heard a guy in reddit got kindey issues from MSM do the research first
What about bicalutimide for women? I was put on 20mg initially, along with minoxidil and spironolactone. Caused massive bloating so I've finally gone down to 5mg. Can't see any changes after 6 months yet
Hi Dr Dray, I got allergic dermatitis all over my face after trying out Rogaine for a month, even though it was only applied to the hairline and the crown. It's been half a year and my skin still gets red, itchy and flaky every few days. I've seen many dermatologists, but none of the prescribed topical or oral medications has prevented these symptoms from coming back. I also experienced adverse effects from some of the oral medication. Can I use iRestore if my skin is sensitive and reactive? Can iRestore cause an allergic reaction? Thank you and happy holidays!
Did you get itchy swollen eyes, as well? The weird thing with me is that it never irritated my face but while tapering off it I started getting hives on my hands and itchy under eyes and eyelids. I got dark circles and bag like swelling. It’s still pretty obvious months after stopping.
I also have allergic dermatitis now for 16 years it is localized only to my face area. My face gets inflamed, burns, and itches. I cant use shampoos or any product anyone that has perfumes on andcome close tome me I start having a problem. I've been to many different dermatologist was tested allergic to 7 different chemicals and these chemicals are all in these products. I have 1 shampoo that I been using for years. I ha e less than quarter left. I am beside myself I can't what there and also goes with soaps. Please help.
There is no one out there that can help me I need shampoo and soap.
Just the chemical in these product Imy skin starts burning. I need to take a shower. Is there anything out there

Hey Dr. Dray, thank you for your videos! I was wondering does a benzoyl peroxide wash oxidize/inactivate actives in serums after it?
Please make a video on Dutasteride, this is becoming more popular as it is more effective than Finasteride.
I'm only 26 and i recently noticed what I think is thinning hair at my temples.
@@terrir.7604 hello, my doctor rejected the idea of a possible Alopecia in my case and thus i was not prescribed Spironolactone.
I have used topical Minoxidil for about 3 years now. My dermatologists told me that once you lose your hair, it doesn't grow back. Minoxidil can halt or slow down hair loss. However, no product can produce hair growth. Your thoughts? Thank you for another informative video!
Thanks for this video. Would love to know more about procapil.

I definately appreciate your honest opinion.. and you mentioning that laser therapy as FDA “cleared”… as a lot of them falsely advertise as “approved”.. as it’s said that the only “approved” procedures are finesteride and minoxidil.
I have been using the Restore since January and I am hopeful it will make some difference to my 67 year old scalp. I trust your opinion and purchased due to your review. Will let you know if I see results towards the end of the year and it is so easy to use, rather enjoyable!
Any results to report?
Any update
I have noticed that my hair is a bit thicker at least it feels that way to me. I will continue to use , it's actually enjoyable to wear and I am very good about using every other day.@@rgtunderworldrgt7773

My aging hair responded well to Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. It slowed shedding and it seems to have thickened the hair strands. However, I can't imagine that it's regrown hair. Can you speak to topical caffeine like The Inkey List scalp product? Thank you.

Hi Dr Dray, how do you feel about the research linking minoxidil to a reduction in collagen and fibroblast issues?
I use the minoxidil & it’s helped WAY faster than. 6 months! I saw results in less than 3 months. However, its ITCHY to the scalp & makes a dander. just shampoo-more
Hey Dr Dray! Are all of the shampoo and prescription options the same as minoxidil that the results stop if you stop them? Thanks!!
I had a little menopausal loss, but after a mild case of COVID (yes I was vaxxed) that kicked it into to major hair loss.
Looking forward to one year growth!.
do you know whats the length of your needles? like 0.2mm 0.5mm or 1mm?
That is absolutely not true.
Rollers are terrible. Invest in the derminator 2
@@katystevenson2784 i you're taking Spiro or acne, watch both of Organic Olivia's videos and try L-Lysine for 90 days at least
