  • Who is careful about taking their medication for high blood pressure, a disease called "the silent killer"? What influences their behavior? A new study delves into what factors affect these patients' medical compliance. Hani Aiash, MD, PhD, shares research involving more than 23 million patients that provides some answers, including that married people are more adherent. Aiash is the assistant dean for interprofessional research at Upstate’s College of Health Professions and an associate professor of medicine and cardiac perfusion.
