Former smoker here. Pack a day from 18 to 30. Also quit cold turkey for 6 months then went back to it. Then quit cold turkey again a year later and it stuck. My advice is to try again cold turkey. Your brain has to decide that smoking is no longer the reward it used to be. There is a small chance every time you try that it will stick. You already managed a 5 month break. So keep trying! And good luck!

@@jessebremner5209That’s crazy. That’s how I was for the first 2 years I smoked before my friend stole a carton and we had all the cigs we wanted. When the last one was gone I realized I was suddenly addicted to cigarettes. I’ve been a pack a day or two smoker ever since. My dad’s the same as you BUT he’s a recently retired f-16 pilot. Somehow he’s able to have a smoke when he wants to but he’s not addicted.
What worked for me was switch to the gum (doesn’t get you as buzzed), then quit cold turkey repeatedly until it sticks. And each relapse you’re only using the gum, never touching a cigarette or a vape. Each successive quit felt so much worse that it finally made me sick of the merry go round
Or they notice you step out very often. 20cigs in 1 pack. Awake for 16hrs a day if you get 8hrs of sleep. Thats 1.25 cigs PER HOUR which is crazy when you put it like that

The key is taking small steps that add up gradually over time. Track how many cigarettes you smoke per day (say it’s 20). Then try to smoke only 19 per day next week. Then 18 the next week. Or see the earliest time you smoke and push that back one hour. Track your progress each week with a notebook. Quitting cold turkey is trying to rip out a weed from the stem rather than digging out its roots. Might work, or it might grow back. You likely won’t change a habit that built up over years in a few weeks or even months. Good luck, you’ve got this.
Former smoker and 4 year recovering addict here. I smoked Marlboro lights for 13 years of my life. On top of that, I was smoking weed. I tried vaping for a bit, but decided to use the patch. I got to the final step of the patch the first time and failed. Tried the second time and I have not had a cigarette in 9 years now. You just need to have an incentive to quit before you try. Otherwise you will fail everytime. Good luck to you, nice lady and everyone else who has this issue! 💚
Zyns helped me quit smoking. I’ve been a smoker since I was 13 and now I’m 34. I just do the 6mg zyns. Haven’t smoked a single cig in months. I’m now trying to taper down the milligrams to the point where I’m nicotine free; but in due time.

That’s what’s up 🫶
@ thank you, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss it at times, but I don’t miss the way I was for sure.
Fuck yes STAVVVVY BABYYY
I replaced cigs with vape and then went to snus, then pouches. Just change to pouches and the job is done for you. Nicotine isn't bad for you.
@@Hjaelteomslag depends…pretty sure it can be tough on the heart if you have issues and blood pressure
Cold Turkey is the best way but, Id say substitute weed in all honesty. You can still smoke but you wont need to 20 times a day. Quitting nicotine is really a bitch.
Lots of people think they're addicted to weed but it's actually the tobacco so be careful.
@@byrne1916 huh?
I smoked cigarettes from early teens til my mid 20s off and on but it was like 1 pack a day at my heaviest. Smoking cigarettes I hated, definitely helped me quit but also smoking hella weed. the weed fucks with my lungs and so i really just take dabs now. Like I'm pretty sure dabs arenttt gunna give me cancer but i do be high as fuck all the time
If you’re smoking that much there is no way it’s “secretive”. Literally everybody knows.
just one less cig each day frfr - your body will slowly remember not needing nicotine to function
I quit pack and a half a day smoking habit, in a week with these nicotine pouches.
smoking doesn't cause breast cancer
"cig"
Is this Shane Gillis' sister?
"my whole life revolved around making the right decisions" lol
see how much money she spends on a pack a day and then set aside money for something beneficial or healthy that she really wants, another goal to work towards. instead of paying to kill herself with cigs she can save and buy something nice
@@jaimecapella6267 yeah the money aspect is wild…I’m a pack a day and it works out to like $7,000 a year.
Oh, everyone knows you smoke. There’s no secret there.
Get rid of bert
Until you actually want to quit, u won’t.
Spoken like a true simpleton 😅
@responded like a true bot…
@@JohnDoe-qh5xg nice vague useless comment
@vishg5148 you want me to spoonfeed you the basics of nicotine addiction in a YT comment... it's as vague as "if you want to you can" as advice...
@sampsoa1 used the same "like a" copy paste response accusing the other of being a bot... I know you aren't a bot even AI would do better in logic than "until you actually want to quit, you won't"
Do better next time just say "basic junkie excuses grow up"
Yall are lame
Who cares? If severe cancer can't get you to quit nothing will, just stop!
nicotine is barely addictive. this woman is missing something in her life.
