It's very obvious to me that having both is the best case scenario. As viewers we get to watch both. As businesses, they apply some pressure on each other to be better. Win win for everyone.

@@fieldreport UFC: The Western and European fighters are about being arrogant, trash talks and loud mouth while the Asians are about discipline, being humble and showing respect regardless of what their fighting level are. It's in their blood and in their genes LOL. When fighters from the West or from Europe go to fight in Thailand the Thai can show them how to be respectful and humble.
As a fan of both, ONE is more entertaining imo.
i feel like entertainment wise, ONE is far better. but if someone is looking for personality of individual fighters, then UFC is better

Better business how? UFC's profit in 2022 was $1.14 billion usd. ONE hasn't earn a cent since they've started 10 years ago and has probably over $400($383 million since 2021) million usd in losses.

@@isaacmedow3023 True, If you live in an impoverished nation. $1300 lowest salary in ONE. I won't be surprised if it's lower for most muay thai/kickboxing events. UFC's lowest currently is $10,000. If you want to do prize fighting but want a "livable" wage, then go do a proper 9-5 job.
@@biggertree7063 the majority of the fighter live in Asia and $1300 USD is like $45000 in Thai money it is significantly more than what they would be making if they were fighting else where. also the 1300 is the lowest that they go for Muaythai and kickboxing the MMA guys get more money

The respect between the athletes and the superior refereeing.
One often uses same refs as ufc. Every organization has different expectations of them though of course

Ufc has issued referees by the nevada athletic commission while one doesn't and they have a strong self regulatory board since they operate in different countries with different set of rules. They are just better at creating an encompassing rule to govern their fights.
Thats why they can easily have fair rules since SEA and Japan in general has a history of combat sports and their politicians ain't as stupid as john McCain who would dick fucking ride the hate bandwagon when UFC was starting out.
And their judges aren't state commissioned as well. So every judge they get are experieced fighters from different backgrounds or had been officiating fights from different disciplines and not just a fat guy who is a friend of the governor who wants to be a judge because he thinks he's an expert.
Love that about ONE FC. They just have to talent prove who they are in the ring, and they dont rely on gimmicks and trashyness to get numbers going. Just a competitive enviroment. MMA aside their Kickboxing and Muay thai is insane. It's everything that the sports are suppose to be, competition and respect without the circus works.

One Championship doesn't have drama. It's just Martial artists testing themselves against the best. The technical fighting on display in One Championship is beyond UFC

In my humble opinion, respect and humility are fundamental in any mixed martial art. Any promotion instilling this in their athletes and ethos deserves respect
as much dope the clowns in ufc are on, they cant help themself acting like animals!
ONE not only has a greater variety of disciplines (MMA, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Submission Grappling) but they also occassionally have special fights with mixed rules, ie the Mighty Mouse vs Rodtang fight where the rules alternated between Muay Thai and MMA). It's just way more interesting to watch currently and I just love the respect that the fighters show each other and what the audience shows the combatants. I'm Thai and I go to the ONE Friday Night Fights all the time at Lumphini stadium and the atmosphere is awesome and you see people of all ages and families there enjoying their evening. Love it.
I started watching UFC back in the days when it was just a brutal show of different weights and styles, and I have watched UFC up to around 2017-2018 when I got so tired of the drama, trash talk, disrespect amongst the fighters and the general attitude that I felt from the UFC.
And it was around the same time that I found One Championship and right away I was hooked, by the mix of different martial art styles, and the respect that was shown from both the fighters and the audience. So for me, the only fighting I watch now is One Championship.

There is something for everyone in ONE FC, pure striking, pure grappling and MMA and the athletes are great in each of them. Also, ONE FC doesn't force their fighters to act like assholes and clowns like UFC does to promote fights. UFC literally said to Colby Covington that he is a great fighter and all but he wasn't interesting and now look at him

Great video. I can tell they treat the fighters 100 times better in ONE Championship than the UFC. It's great to see the respect the fighters have for each other over there. Almost every fighter over there acts like Stephen Thompson and Benil Dariush. I really wish the UFC would change the weight cutting. It just seems so dangerous for these fighters. I heard Bryce Mitchell talking about it recently. It would be nice seeing the fighters fight at their natural weight for safety.

Let me tell you something simply..Dana has billions and he still behaves like he doesnt have nothing to eat, towards fighters. While Chatri first came to our country, Croatia to sign with my cuz, did press conference, sign a contract which is 3 times better then Ufc...Does any of you seeing Dana to fly over the world to get a fighter???

Ive watched UFC almost from day dot, when one came out i thought hmmm its not gonna be as good as UFC. I was wrong ONE is overall far better everything about it. All the adjectives and more is exactly why i think its so much better, main thing is the treat their fighters like human beings and not just a commodity. From Scotland 🏴
I am a big fan of both.
The thing about UFC is that its plagued by politics. From state commisions to senators dick riding the hate bandwagon to forcing to implement rules that dont make sense.
Luckily for one fc the region they operate in has a long history of combat sports. So people are more knowledgeable on the subject there.
Hell SEA is the strictest compare to other asian region. Japan and korea you could do an open weight matches there no problem. India you could have a bare knuckle fight in the dirt and it would be 2 against 1 and they'll let it slide there.
Plus i love that one fc doesnt focus on MMA. They let other disciplines perform like mat wrestling , kick boxing or muaythai.

Asia is the home of martial arts. OneFC not only capitalized that branding but also features the most traditional Asian fighters.

You missed the most important detail, what is the revenue split between promoter and fighter?
In boxing fighter get 50%, in UFC it’s 16-20%.
If One championship can get the share with fighters closer to 50% and allow fighters to wear their own sponsors and earn money that way, then One can focus on poaching young up and coming talent from the UFC instead of signing older fighters at end of their career.

Getting to know that One has hydration test instead of weight cutting to let fighters fight near their natural weight was enough to sell for me at least. Been watching One since, especially Muay Thai. UFC only occasionally since.
It's crazy that this isn't a thing to me? Allowing the hydration cheatin kind of defeats the purpose of having weight classes
Fighters have ways to get over it. DJ talks about it on the JRE. ONE also lets them juice. There's an interview where Sage Northcut almost reveals this.

Also the weight cutting rules in ONE allow for more fair fights. In the UFC you will have heavier guys cut a ridiculous amount weight, with extreme dehydration, then re hydrate before the fight and end up being much bigger than their opponents. ONE incorporates weight and hydration tests so the weigh ins are closer to what the reality of the fight will be.
Ufc allow fighters to stall and look up at the clock to determine the perfect time to ride out a round.. ONE FC wont allow this
to be fair they just made a new rule to stand motherfuckers up if they stall on the ground or cage. kinda crazy that this wasn't already a rule but better late than never i guess xD

Ive paid and will forever pay for One FC. I love how they support fighters and the no bullshit stage drama that they have, its all about combat sports and celebrating the culture of it. the UFC is all profits over sports and integrity. Dana and his garbage promotion will never see a single dime out of me. As soon as I'm able to travel over seas, the first thing I'm doing is attending a ONE FC live event.

I think part of UFC’s dominance is their advertising especially with their ESPN partnership, but if ONE can really push North American advertising and even try to do their own version of TUF (especially after this previous bomb of a season) ONE could really skyrocket their viewership if they really drive home the “free to watch” point since for whatever reason UFC still holds onto ppv

I like seeing a showcase of different fighting disciplines. ONE does that.
It depends on the audience. North america and asia are two different cultures. Disrespect is extremely frowned upon in asia. They can't do drama marketing if they wanted to. You can have both in NA.
On the weight cutting, It's a lot more flexible in terms of switching division and a lot simpler in the traditional method.
Big thing is that they operate mostly in Asia but obv have fighters all over the world. But around 70% of the worlds population is in Asia so yeah... considering Martial Ars is so big in Asia, they get insane viewing numbers.
Even the point system seem legit on one champ,as in fighting competition knock downs ,grappling, wrestling and other techniques are more to be acknowledged ,then just mare striking points. Also the hydration test is the best thing they doing for fighters.
It's been like that for a while. I stopped bothering with UFC and I'm a huge One Championship fan!! They're amazing,seem to treat their athletes properly and the owner is an Amazing dude that doesn't slap his own wife!!!!

One FC is better because of the weight cutting protocol. Fighters can't kill themselves trying to make weight thus inturn make for way more explosive and entertaining fights, UFC fights are boring now because I know the fighters are never 100% because of the grueling weight cut they endure.
One doesnt test for PEDS......... which kind of evens out your argument. Its hard to argue that One looks after the fighters better if they are allowing them to get juiced

Drama and personalities is the top reason I can't watch the UFC. I only just saw ONE on their last show and was truly impressed with the fighting and multiple styles in one show. Going from MMA to Striking to Grappling was really cool

There was a young Scottish guy called jordan coe who died while in Thailand when he was cutting weight, he was a really talented muay thai fighter an im sure this young guy woulda sighed for ONE its really a tragedy. Should check him out...

I'm with them on the weight cutting. Droppimg a a few kg ro make weight is one thing, but dropping 10% or more of your body weight is ridiculous. It forces fighters to harm their bodies just to compete.
I love watching one Muaythai on Friday’s early in the morning. It’s pretty cool.
the main reason why i like One Championship better is that knees to a grounded opponent are legal, it makes no sense and it just makes it so wrestlers can shoot infinite take downs with hardly any consequences

I enjoy both organizations. So many great fighters and competition.
I enjoy ONE in that there seems to be much less nonsensical press conferences full of profanity and yelling and a bit more open respect for their competitors for the most part.
I also enjoy the kickboxing and Muay Thai fights as well.
Exactly numbers don't lie One is in debt for 300 Millions, while UFC makes 1billion a year, and are not in debt....
