    First of all, garden update, yay! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 The flowers look lovely!
    Second of all, how much did I love this video? I am new to tarottube and I have been really struck by this debate of decluttering etc. For a short while I was grappling with, do I have too many decks etc. But then I realized that having grace with myself is more important than anything else. I like your take on it. I enjoy having more than one deck and I am thankful that I am able to even say the word collection when it comes to tarot. I like looking at my decks and I don't feel that I have too many so I am going to keep going as I have. I enjoy watching decluttering videos just as much as tarot hauls and collections. To me it is more evidence of another person's relationship with their cards, and I find that fascinating. I also love that you brought up finding that middle place. I want to be able to watch videos about others collections and not desire what they have because of their relationship with it, but not judge them either. This vid hit the nail on the head. Thank you.

      Thanks so much Judes! Once things get rolling in the garden, it's like an explosion of colour. It changes so fast this time of year, but I'm really looking forward to sharing the process! And Yes! Having grace for oneself is so important, as it's so easy to criticize and beat yourself up about things that aren't even real concerns (I'm lookin' at you, capitalism.... haha). xx

    Your point about connection vs. attachment was so insightful. Connection comes from relationship, and while not all relationships have to be the same, they do take time and effort. Perhaps that’s the issue with “too many decks;” there’s not enough time. But who says all decks have to bring us connection? Ultimately having the discussion with ourselves is what matters. Thanks for sharing!

    You made some great observations here. Depth year as a reverse flex indeed. Sneaky, sneaky ego…always up to its tricks! Finding and resting in that place of no guilt/no shame/ no anxiety that is the trick. 🙏🏽🎨✨

    I've long said on my channel that being a 'reader' and being a 'collector' are not the same thing, nor are they mutually exclusive. You can be a reader with one singular deck and only ever use that single deck for your entire practice. You can be a collector, with hundreds of decks, and never read because you love tarot as an expression of art. You can be a reader AND a collector. You can be any place on that spectrum you want. There is no right or wrong there and the value people have on that scale will forever be subjective and different for everyone - and that's okay.
    The depth year trend became problematic for me, especially within the Tarot Tube side of things when people shifted its meaning away from what you described which was going deeper with what you do have and being more thoughtful about what you do acquire. When it turned into a "no buy trend" it was frustrating for me, because like you, I found it to be such a strange flex. Like the old inspirational quote poster says "every moment you spend comparing your life to someone else is a moment of your life you are wasting."
    PS your garden is gorgeous. We are having a severe drought here, and much of the prairie land is still brown. :( But, there are things FINALLY coming back to life in my gardens and this week will include some quality time out there.

    • @GardenGoddessTarot
      @GardenGoddessTarot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much Dustin! Sometimes it's really hard to get a good objective look at a situation you're entirely buried in. A sturdy step back was just what I needed to get to grips with what I was actually feeling. Minding my own dang business has turned out once again to be the best use of my energy. Hoping for a good healthy rain for you and your garden out there. It has been a fairly dry spring so far but nothing to set off any alarm bells yet. Ask me again in August though, that's the real test for the plants as well as my water carrying endurance. Enjoy your time in it, I know I wait all year for this, then only to be swamped with eight million things to get done all at once. The garden never fails to teach patience, acceptance not to mention the universal fleeting nature of beauty and life itself. xx

    Loved this video so much Theia ! So many interesting thoughts and lots of healing ♥️I’m also really exploring this concept of being radically content with life this year ( it’s my sun year so it was calling) , outside of tarot like just embracing things as they are & finding peace there but I loved how you connected that to the decks owning too, super cool 🤗 sending hugs from reunion

    Ii really love your perspective on this. And yes, I love the decan walk also so much. Learning a lot from it.

    • @GardenGoddessTarot
      @GardenGoddessTarot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Maria! The decan walk is so fun! I particularly like how it's relatively low stress and I can go as deep as I feel I want to each ten days. Some of them I get right into the weeds with the cards, other decans I just sit with the cards and see how they show up in my life. It's delightful! xx

    I love this perspective and what you said has really resonated with me. This concept of connection vs attachment is so interesting. I think it also plays into the idea of the fantasy self and seeing how we can possibly be connected to something but really we’re just attached to it. But there’s sometimes this version of ourselves where we see ourselves being connected to it. I hope that makes sense. Does that make sense??
    I am trying so hard not to make myself feel horrible for having a lot of decks. I love everything I have and don’t need to feel bad about it. Some times the stuff gets overwhelming-especially being in a studio apartment-but it’s usually not the decks that are a problem, it’s something else that nagging at me that I’m not addressing.

    • @GardenGoddessTarot
      @GardenGoddessTarot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jess! Yeah it definitely makes sense! Fantasy self plays a big part, for sure, that topic could take up a whole video series actually! You're also definitely on to something about there being something else nagging at us that is the real issue that needs resolved, while instead we focus on another perceived problem. That's something I'll certainly be asking the cards for guidance on in the future. Thank you! xx

    Thank you so much for sharing this!! I feel like you’ve just put into words all of the things i’ve been trying to make sense of myself recently! I’ve found that separating my idea of tarot from specific decks has really helped to make sense of my personal definitions of reading and collecting- I love doing both, and that’s okay. You’ve left me with so much more to ponder! Acceptance of where we are at and holding our own view of tarot as important, I just love these thoughts you’ve shared!

    What a fantastic exploration of the meaning of depth year and the relationships we form with decks and tarot itself. This is fabulous. Could listen to you all day. Your garden! It’s so huge and so beautiful (and tidy …. Side eye out the window at mine…. Cough!) love that first rust coloured flower…was it a hellebores? 💜

    • @GardenGoddessTarot
      @GardenGoddessTarot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you Candy, I'm so glad you've enjoyed it! I watched your whole video on the garden a day or so ago and genuinely think it's not as bad as you feel it is. A wee bit of clearing here and there and it'll look like new. I find too, once I get rolling I cannot be stopped, and become a menace with the pruners! haha! I love how your is set up into divided garden rooms, something I've tried to do, but without real boundaries is proving to be kind of hard. Gotta wait like, 10 years for things to grow big enough to become a substantial partition. But It's still a baby garden, so it's to be expected. The pinky-rust flowers were indeed Hellbores! Good catch! I absolutely love them, such a delightful early spring flower. (my daffodils just opened this morning...we're so far behind you guys! lol) xx

    Connection vs Attachment. So simple and yet so true. I'm looking at likely downsizing ("right" sizing?) due to a move. I'm still newish and pretty sporadic with reading and only for myself. Other than the usual advice of "read everyday/pull a card a day," I'd love to know what your process is for initiating then building a connection, then how you feel or know when you don't have either a connection, attachment or either with a deck? I've been really enjoying your content and relate a lot to the ideas you share and the focus of your practice - thanks for doing what you do!

    I thought about that I have too many decks. I only have 28 decks oracle and tarot. I am trying not to buy anymore. But I got into Kickstarter. And backed 3 decks. Lol But 2 of them may not be here till the end of the yr. Lol I am doing good except the kickstarter. I am attracted to the art work that would help me learn to read them.
