Carnt wait to get behind the wheel. Dave and the team as usual making dreams reality. I appreciate that my truck might not be to everyone's taste, but thats the grate thing about defenders they can be tailored around you and your preferences, to create your ultimate defender. And thats exactly what Dave has created. coudnt be happier 😁👍
It's what makes any pre-2016 Defender great and what it's USP was. No other vehicle was as modifiable. Nothing about it being the best off-roader, it's not. But as a platform that can adapted to any user's needs or preferences it stood alone. And it's this aspect that was completely forgotten/ignored in the New Defender. The ND might be the best off-roader on the market, but as a multi-use utility platform, it's sh*t. 70 years of legacy down the toilet to create a bloated, ugly SUV for drug dealers, footballers and reality TV stars. What a shame. And clearly something that's been picked up on by Toyota who've just launched a SUV with retro 'elements', a compact fully retro SUV for fun, and then the latest J70 which looks mint. They know what they're doing. LR take note. Anyway, rant over. What's the back for? Are you a serial killer prowling the UK who needs an oversized cooler for all the cadavers? 🤔😆
Thank you for the explanation, it makes a lot of sense. The Om606 is also a very high revving engine I heard, and like you said it doesn't have a lot of low down torque. I want a mechanical and reliable engine for my defender, what engine should I get? Should I stay with the 300tdi, only problem is with the 300tdi is it is a bit slow on the road, especially for hills and underpowered for towing. Do you guys have any experience on the 2.8TGV International engine, it is like a more powerful version of the 300tdi originally made in Brazil I think.
Like the Cummins 130 Dave, maybe more than the Dirty 130, (btw did the guy who won it, has he used it in anger yet?), not a fan of that Kahn thing, waste of a good Defender…can’t wait to see more of the RRC builds - ❤ Mahker

🤔😆
HCPU is peak defender. If you can find one without a 50mm ball dent on the tailgate.
why is it peak?
Attention to detail, you’ll never sneak anything past a retired Royal Marine!
You know it sir 😎
Why don't you guys do Mercedes Benz Om606 engine swaps?
Because they are not suited to 4x4vehicles. Ask yourself why Mercedes never fitted it into a 4x4.
From our experience it has poor torque low down.

This would have been cool if it was a Land cruiser :)
Literally the opposite of cool.

Overated Defenders. Waste of money.
Thanks for going to the effort and leaving that lovely comment
