Hey Adam! I would like to ask your thoughts about my injury, maybe you have experienced this during your career. So i do calisthenics for about 2 years now (34 years old), started it because i fell in love with planche and everything about it and the human body. I do a lot of basics, handstand and HSPU work and planche work. For some months now, i have pain in my right hand at the thumb and index finger area (during planche work i rotate my hands 90 degree as recommended, so this area gets a huge amount of stress). I went to the doctor and after examinations it turned out that i have inflamed tendon sheath and elongated ligaments, which also causes serious instability in the structure of my hand. Im under treatment now, but the doctor said that the elongated ligaments cannot be fixed and it will cause early cartilage wear and that area will always hurt under stress if i continue planche work. My hands and fingers are long and thin, which is a huge disadvantage. So my question is that do you have any experience regarding this? Should i forget planche forever? Is there a way forward for me? Im so very motivated and now i feel like im dying inside. Please, share your thoughts.

Can I still do straight arm training even though my elbows don’t fully straighten as much as other people?

Where do you get those bands? All the bands I found are much thicker and don't have that much range.

I would say engage your core and imagine you are pulling your elbows to the floor, instead of trying to pull your body up. Simple trick what helps pull ups

    Adam,
I'm à 62-yr. male with limited body conditioning, strength and flexibility. In my youth, I was both à gymnast and body builder. (Only, mentioning those points; because, I understand many of the 'principles' you both express and demonstrate...) With that said, is it 'viable' for me to pursue your programs, in your professionnel opinion?.
    Sincerely,
    ~ Michael B.
