Thanks for watching and your comment Mr Vader. It's my intention to start with recommissioning the '36 as it does not currently run, having stood for some time. The lead time on painted Tyga body kits is a couple of months and I haven't ordered mine yet. I've got several well priced bikes up for sale to cover the cost, but nothing is selling at this time. I thought I'd start this series now as there is plenty to do. If you cast your eye over my previous videos, I think you'd agree that the quality is increasing quickly, which is promising for the future. I fire it up and start tearing into it next episode. Please subscribe to find it when it's edited.😊
Great channel. I've been riding a 94 for the last 15 years and it's been ultra reliable. Now up to 234,000k and my sole transport and yet to find a bike that can replace it.
Hi Nick. The RC30 tribute build is going to have to be a 'back-burner' build. I reckon I wouldn't see any change out of $12,000 on top of the $5,500 I've already spent buying and refurbishing my VFR RC36, for which I would basically still have the same bike, in truly beautiful bodywork nevertheless. I've got a 1976 Kawasaki Z900 Rickman bodied special, a Moto Guzzi California and a 1981 Suzuki PE400 that could all be finished for that much money, plus, my 1985 GSXR750 is enough 'street-legal race-bike' for the moment. Hope you still find something worth subscribing for here, your contribution is truly valued.
Lovely - looking forward to this. There is a guy in the UK who has just started developing bracketry for the 36/2 to accept 4 pots from the NC30 (vfr400) which'll be a bit more RC30 looking than the 2 pot sliding caliper you've got right now...
Brakes tomorrow! I've got just enough cash to buy the Tyga Tribute kit. I'll need to buy the left hand exit exhaust at the same time and a few other bits like mirrors and clocks. My plan is to get it up and running as quickly and cheaply as possible first, then improve over time. Let me know what you want to see and I'll do my best to include it.
Hate to say it but the picture you posted of the rc30 is just a replica the front end including discs and brake master cylinder are off a vfr750 i owned 2 rc30s.
Thanks HRC1. I did think it might be after I'd edited it, by which time I was too knackered to go back and replace it. I have lots to learn and probably have other inaccuracies in the video. It's not scripted and I was on my own, I will gratefully accept your comments, corrections and guidance. Two RC30's, how on earth did you manage that? 😮
Without doubt. I cannot over state how many bikes I've owned, hundreds! These are cheap to buy, easy to work on, easy and cheap parts, bullet proof, good looking, handle well. I prefer this to the VFR1200X and the VFR800 I have owned, if only for the change left in my pocket! Not as fast as my GSXR750 not as 'cool' as my Moto Guzzi, but still my go-to bike for a ride out into the country for a nice coffee. Other than electrics (which baffle me), hit me up if you buy it and struggle with anything.
Hope you're going to show the whole build . If so this is going to be great. Can't wait to see more.

I have an RC30 rep as well, so I'm looking forward to seeing your build 👍

@@TheSpannerLab I'm sure they'll be plenty to see! Every build is slightly different, and we can all learn from each other and add nice touches 👌

Subbed & looking forward to watching the build
I had a Staintune exhaust on my Ducati!
I had one on an XL1000V 'Varadero'. Loved it. Shame this will be removed during the transformation 😢

I have the opportunity to purchase one of these bikes with a full test and very faded bodywork for a mere £750. Would you say "go for it"?
Without doubt.

@ProfessorSpanner Luckily I am an electrician so I hope any electrical issues will be resolved easily
