    The fact that Jay takes these machines out in traffic and even lets a select few have a go is nuts... That Bentley is worth millions.
    He's the world's greatest car collector that's for sure.

    Oh my God, this is definitely a bucket list item. Meet Jay Leno (who seems to fit my idea of car collecting), have a party lunch, and take out a few cars. I'd die happy for a ride in a Doble, then the chrysler turbine car would be tied for that. I'd then like to ride in the jet caddy Mr Leno helped create. After that I'd just go nuts like a puppy surrounded by bacon. But really I want to ride in a steam car, and turbine car one day. *fingers crossed.

    where are the airbags,,? This man Leno, sure has an amazing life. I am sure he give to charity and donates. Wonder if he knows how hard it may be for lower income people to have ONE good running car? Maybe he could have his shop prep out some good used cars and donate them directly to people who need them.,could be low priced cars that his mechanics check and service for engine, trans, steering components, and brakes ,tires the usual. I have seen people get ripped off. I do apartment rentals and have seen people be on edge because of used car dealers ripping them off. Heavy oil put in to mask bad crank shaft bearings, check engine lights reset and come on 2 days after purchase, 25% and 30% interest on car loans, etc, just to name a few. At times I have thought to open a dealer up selling cars under $ 3000 and giving a 3 month warranty on car after being serviced . Seems like a definite need for this service , just that I don't know much about it or the red tape on getting started. And then there is Jay Leno ...amazing collection and seems like he genuinely shares his wealth, my hat off to you, and respect, ,amazing!

    • @travistucker7317
      @travistucker7317 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's capitalism. It's his money, that he earned. What you're talking about is also capitalism, but more so, bad people. Used car salesmen are typically snakes trying to make a buck. This dude has his own shop and mechanics, as well as engineers, machinists, etc.. a whole team. He gives enough of his money away. What you should be asking for is an honest salesman. You're most realistic solution to that problem is either being knowledgeable enough to keep from getting shafted or open a business and hire straight up dudes to sell cheap used cars to people without screwing them. Sounds like you've found a market, the clientele, and also have the marketing strategy. Shit you might be the next jay Leno, go get it! It is capitalism after all.

    • @recyclespinning9839
      @recyclespinning9839 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@travistucker7317 thanks for the response . I actually am in a position I could open a small dealership if I wanted to , but as always a new type of business is scarey , when you've been successful at one type for a good many years. But I have seen a lot of tenants I have had, just have their lives turned upside down by used cars , both cars bought from dishonest dealers , and just plain money pits , bought privately.
      PS , as far as a market it is huge . Most people dont realize that some people at most can afford a $5000 car , and even that has to be timed during income tax return , when the predator 😈salesman are out for the kill. , if they get the wrong car. it can impact their livelihood and family. Taking the bus or transit in USA , just is not practical in most locations and job schedules..
      PS , that's what I find so amazing about Leno, he employs a team for his cars and some cant afford a decent car. It still boggles my mind. I have gone through periods of not having money to buy decent car, or making wrong choice, so I can relate...
      And not that that I am jealous, of Leno , just amazed..!!??

      daniel thomas you havent watched enough, I just think he knows the cars are what people are here to see, sometimes hear the story that goes along with them.

    • @blackvic5157
      @blackvic5157 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jay has introduced his crew from time to time, and he makes the extra effort to promote the subcontractors he utilizes. I agree with mrRufffn Tumble, the cars are the stars, but there's one more thing: it's Jay Leno himself who is the world's foremost automotive authority, and what he has built here is a fantastic national treasure, the finest collection of historically significant automobiles in existence, bar none. This is Jay Leno's vision, his creative work, and he alone writes the checks. Yet I sense no vanity about the man; only earnest good will and boundless enthusiasm for sharing knowledge.
