My only critism to him is, he sold almost all of the big companies that belong to the people to the oligarch in the Philippines and we are suffering right now.

They had reasons to sell. One example would be how worse the water crisis in the 90’s compare to now. Privatization was the only key and his administration was right.

@@incognitwo4235 The economy is worst when Pres.Duterte came to power but he did everything not to fall in the hands of the oligarch. Plus the fact that all the disaster came to him in his terms like pandemic, recession, eruption of the volcano, typhoon and the list goes on but because he really has a political will to make it all happen, the economy is still soaring high above the rest.

@@incognitwo4235 You do know all those companies had lucrative and one sided contracts, starting from FVR's time. Duterte just had to renegotiate a bunch of those contracts. They ripped you all off for over 20 years! And as far as I know NSC never lost money. Also what military man doesn't know steel mills are strategic industries for national security.

    • @incognitwo4235

@@fanglethorpe you don’t know anything about economics or business. It’s natural that the contracts signed originally during FVR will definitely be more in favor for the private sector since they’re taking too much risk by taking over these failed state owned companies or their areas of operation. If these companies were still under the government do you think their services would be much better? Talk about these water companies, we have much larger water coverage and much stable water supply primarily in the metro Manila and nearby provinces due to efficiency brought by the private sector.
