You mean analog triggers specifically? I think with the exception of the YS06, all the budget controllers I reviewed have analog triggers. It should work for racing games :)

I totally agree with the review. I bought the Redragon g808 Harrow just to try since it was affordable. And omg, it sucks for fighting games! It's so hard to make combos with the buttons! Infairness to redragon, it was okay with other games. And I like how easy it was to use. Plug and play. Also the battery I think is it's greatest merit. Now I need to buy another controller. Still wanna try something affordable. I'd get the Xbox controller when I get rich. Haha. for now atleast php 1500 budget. Any recommendations?

I have the exact opposite experience. Dpad should be accurate - even on platformers, most platformer players prefer the dpad. It's okay for SF, but wouldn't recommend it over a fightpad.

Sir, nice review po! I bought 2 of these myself cause my ps3 controllers got busted over time. I got bored and tried them on my old android samsung j7 phone and i got pleasantly surprised to find out i can play tekken 3's versus (on ps emulator) locally with my sibs! However i upgraded my phone to an s9+, and unfortunately i can no longer plug 2 pads at once like i did on my old phone, i can only use 1. It's like it doesnt recognize the other dongle, but both work fine on my ps3. Any help or insights?
@@lovestayville2524 i use an OTG connector to connect the usb dongle to phone. Usually, it should work right away, but on the off chance it doesnt, like with some newer phones/handsets; -go to settings on your android -search for OTG connectivity or something like that (it's almost always located on connections, with the wi-fi, etc.) - if you locate it, enable/turn it on. It should work after that.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to try it on PS3 but the assessment will likely be the same - it's a good controller but with awkward buttons and an uncomfy hand feel.

Hi i started playing nba and i playing on pc windows 10 with keyboard and its hard, i want to buy some cheap controller which will work on pc windows 10 and with nba cracked unfortunately, bcs i dont think to play it more than 1 hour and 30 minutes, so i found this one and your review. Its was 1 year, does it still work and was you have some problems?
what i do is, i have a tiny rubber band for hair braids, when i finish using the joystick it i put the little ubs thingy with the rubber band around the right sick :D i REALLY whish it had a compartment like wacom tablets do,to keep the usb inside the joystick
The analog-sticks are the most disappointing part of this gamepad, because of the bad variability in sensitivity and I only found out after I bought it. The other parts are great in my opinion, except that the controller sometimes completely disconnects from the receiver and you have to reset the controller.
Good review but all in all I think the veredict misses the point of a wireless cheap controlller, I wouldn't use it if I wanted to be competitive, but for casual pc games, it's great

Redragon Harrow G808 Wireless: Bro, For some reasons, I am still unable to use the Left analog stick in my games. (retro emulators mostly) on both PC and android box. Surprisingly, just 'up & down' on the left stick works, turning left/right stick upon button mapping would just map to former positions. I have tried pressing reset while connected thru dongle (connects in secs) How to switch to this dinput/xinput thing? I have read for old/PC games you need to switch the mode. But how? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
@@BimBurger I have already tried DS4Windows with an actual DS4 tbh. Weird its also giving the same problem on PC. Just the dpad is functional, else the same problem. Cannot understand. That DS4 is working fine with the PS4 as a matter of fact.
Sorry buddy, I never tried it on an Android TV. But if it does work, lag wouldn't be too much of a problem because there was no noticeable lag when gaming on other devices.
@@BimBurger Thanks for your quick respond. I am currently using a mini palm size keypad (with a TouchPad in it). It works wirelessly and operates with a small size USB dongle in the TV box. Well that works fine. Just wanna get sure if they gamepad will do too. Wouldn't wanna waste 💵.

i haven't had any issues with the controller...bought it 3 weeks ago......and as luck would have it, i broke the reciever moving my pc and it won't connect even with usb all it does is charge the controller, it doesn't allow for you to use it to play at all
@@BimBurger Yip, it doesn't work at all with a USB cable , I did reach out to Red Dragon though here in south africa and they have replied, i'm a single dad with my 2 kids living with me, Dads can't have cool toys, lol, well i have to wait till they're older they're 4&5 now, but yeah its ZAR600 here for one of these Harrows which is about $35 they are expensive here, and i would NEVER have bought one if it did say USELESS WITHOUT DONGLE ON BOX, because my kids usually remove or lose the dongles in my pc.... lol

Intermittent wireless connection. Used this to play sekiro and nioh on pc and there is sometimes delayed response or unresponsive in a few seconds that makes this a terrible product, not good at all.
Thanks Bim. When I tried charging the controller the first indicator is blinking, then after 10 seconds all 4 indicators blinks, then stopped all together after about 20 seconds. So I waited for 1 hour but when I try to use the controller it becomes low battery after 2 mins. Any advice on this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)
It stopped blinking after 20 seconds, I dont know if it still charging though. I might return it to the shop should I still don't see any improvement/progress.
All wireless control can be turned off so that it is not with the lights on and wasting battery after being used when the PC is still used. Some controls are turned off leaving a button pressed or a buttons conviction. My question is what is the way to turn off this controller since it does not say in the manual, but if it says that it must be turned off then used so that it does not consume battery unnecessarily.
Hey guys i have a problem, in a couple of years having the redragon controller i lost the little usb thing that goes in the pc, and when i try to connect the controller with usb wire he just starts charging does anyone know how can i make it work again?
Figured it out for any poor soul out there that don't know how yet, you can turn it off by pressing the select button and then pressing down the left joystick
I don't think durability is going to be bad as long as you don't drop it. First thing that you'll notice breaking would be the rubber tips on the sticks.

Yeah it isn't great. Check out the WGP12 or WGP13 though.

The only other controllers I'd recommend for fighting games are the Hori Fighting Commander and 8bitdo SN30 Pro+.

In controllers D-pad are more easy to get wrong than the analog stick. How's the D-pad for Street Fighter?

Xinput and Dinput are largely hardware dependent, but you can use something like DS4Windows to translate Dinput inputs into Xinput.

You know I don't actually recall it vibrating. It most likely has either weak rumble that it wasn't memorable enough or there isn't any.

I cant imagine any of my desktop PCs being without an optical drive.

I don't think durability is going to be bad as long as you don't drop it. First thing that you'll notice breaking would be the rubber tips on the sticks.
