@@hisheeelijah1482 haha i know it seems like alot. It had a B18CR in it when i bought it. Then i built a black top B18C turbo which lastest almost 6 years. Then I’ve just rebuilt a B18CR turbo motor which is in it currently.
Yeah, cars now are computers with wheels, no pleasure, look all the same, gas is expensive and last 7 years before most electronic goes to shit and is recycled.
The good old golden era of Honda. I love all these new cars with insane power and all the ease of ZF trannys, launch control, electronic waste gates & turbo speed sensors with full ecu control etc. but seeing stuff like this always makes me still miss my old B series Hondas. Making 600+ HP out of an engine smaller than some motorcycles, carrying a timing light and chip tuning like crazy to get everything dialed in; and that’s before you even begin to tackle trying to get the thing off the line without wheel hopping your car apart. It sounds crazy but it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had turning a wrench.
@@nlsdrf1290 you have no braincells if you think individual throttle bodies do nothing, they make the cars loud af and breathe the best they can, why do you think crotch rockets are loud like that, they have itbs, if you've ever heard vtec with itbs youd know what im talking about.
Old car stuff, the sensors on cars like these are shit, the only "correct" reading you'll get is with the car standing still and on even pavement, otherwise, if the car is tilted or you're pushing it, the gauge will move all over the place, you can see it going back up by the end.
I bought a 98 civic coupe with gsr motor and trans swap turbod 15 psi on e85. Was told it’s over 300 whp. I think it has a bad tune bc any time it exceeds 15 psi it cuts fuel. Looking to get it retuned and hopefully that fixes it.
Yea have a reputable tuner look at it. Mine made 362whp on 19psi with pump fuel. 15psi on a decent turbo with e85 should be getting close to 400whp with the right tune.
Jose Villafane mostly custom bro. Cheap turbo, off the shelf intercooler, custom manifold and intercooler piping. Then msd ignition, link ecu and big fuel system. 👌
Engine management is key. Can have a cheap ebay turbo etc but fueling and ecu is where id start. B18 will make plenty of power with standard cams, intake and throttle body. If you plan on more than 8psi, id do rods and pistons too.
@@thesammorley Thank you for the response! I'll probably go for around 270-300 wheel so I'll have to spend a bit more than 2k for a decent reliable setup. How much did this build set you back?
You’d make close to that 270 wheel on a standard motor with 8psi. Yea 2k won’t get you far unfortunately! Im not too sure really. I’ve never added it up! Not cheap though
@@thesammorley Alright! Well I'll see in the near future what I'll do. Was thinking of buying an ep3 type r since it has the k20 and people have told me that it's really easy to turbo

Finally someone that knows how to drive and shift gears like a fckn pro. Props to you good buddy
I still slightly miss one gear, but i find it eventually hahaha
That's what I'm using on my tacoma spools pretty fast boosting 14psi stock internals
Carlos Reyes yea its a little laggy on a 1.8 but makes good power
I love how the fuel gauge went straight to half and once shifting down right back up to full lmao
ROFLMFAOOOOO
Yeah that's because of inertia tilting the float in the gas tank once it accelerates.
that instant 8k rpm .. ❤
Sounds like it has individual throttle bodies, insane dude.
Bro… having ITBs in a turbo car doesn’t make any difference.

its the because the sensor is in the front and when accelerating the gas goes to the back of the fuel tank
I don’t think you build a turbo civic to conserve gas but thank you for your concern
My wallet felt that for him
Must be on that E 😂
very nice. what type of turbo are you using? weird tho that you only make 312 whp, I had a similar build and making 315 on 8psi
Its just a cheap $500 t04e. Yea I’ve hear all sorts of variations with turbo b series. High boost made 364 whp at 19psi.

Speedometer for a while: Let me do rpm meter's job
😍😍😍
how fast were you going
speedo : blank
Probably about 190ish kph. Only top of 4th gear.
it looks faster than 312whp
LlLnig it was somewhere between 310-315hp. Just the conversion as we normally measure in kilowatts in New Zealand.
Low weight
You run out of gears holy shit. If you put in long gears, that thing would have some scary top speed, at the expense of that insane 0-100 lol
Yea its got a short ratio box in it. Its a track dedicated car now so no need for long gears.
Morley..how about B16B BOT?
Any advice for bone stock internal?
Really appreciate..
Put an 8psi spring in the gate, no more on stock internals. Buy a proper ecu as well and have it tuned properly 👍. Cant beat good engine management.

Its is on a forged motor. 14psi was gate pressure and 19psi on high boost.

Thats the wastegate. I had it venting externally back then. Really loud. Its plumbed back into the downpipe now.
Why do Hondas always have a kmh speedo instead of mph??.. because they are too slow and it's the only way they can feel fast..
