@@Gatorinnola Over time the lifter arm and rod can wear down. A grooved basket also causes issues. I updated everything to the 91+ 500 clutch assembly. That plus the magura was a massive improvement
@@DirtRider500R I tried to update my 89 to the 90 clutch. Evidently something wasn't right. It was like it was stuck in neutral, even though it felt like it was shifting right (not running on the stand). It felt as though the clutch wasn't connected to the crank, really strange. I put all the 89 clutch back in and it's fine. The only thing I didn't swap was the pressure plate. I thought they were the same. New lifter arm, rod, like new inner basket, plates, springs, but 89 pressure plate.
bro fr broke his back on the cr500 then comes back to it once in a while what a legend
Quick, sweet, and to the point. 🤙
nice bike buddy! i love the CR 500s, looking at some CR 250Rs right now 500 is a but too much for me!!
What’s the longest you’ve had this this full throttle without getting bucked off?
About as long as the clip is LOL
Hydraulic clutch. Nice.
Dude its a live saver. Clutch is easier than my 125 by a good margin!
@@DirtRider500R my 1989 500 clutch is terrible. Need Kung Fu grip, but damn $300.

@@Gatorinnola Very odd. Did you change to the new lifter bearing assembly as well?
