Sir I left my job a a firm that really was on my shoulders. I was hired to estimate jobs. I started the company was doing 3 million a year, over the next 3 years I brought it to an 8 million dollar company. My gross margins was running close to 50%. They wouldn't give me any help or provide a pay raise. I left the company and due to poor estimates and lack of providing incentives to the remaining lower management the company went under. I had run my own business for 25 years leaving it when government interference became a hindrance to enjoying the work! I have been retired for 7 years now and I can say that I don't miss the hassles of working for owners that know all there is and you bring nothing to the table or putting up with government bean counters that never worked a day in their life.

It’s such a shame these companies can’t appreciate the people and the work they do to bring so much value to them. I am going to work towards building a company that changes that. Too many people work way too hard and are so under appreciated

you said you don't read book, I would urge you to change that. just put them on and listen to them while you are driving or excising. Start with Rich dad poor dad, money mastering the game by tony robbins is also awesome,it in particular delves into investment strategies. I try to be around successful people, but I am not all that social, so I try to listen to more books on audible and its almost like I am able to make them my influences instead. I think what you are after is awesome. I predict you get it too.

Ohhhhh guys in polka dot dress shirts make me nervous!! But, I guess if he can get you to the ultimate goal, he’s gotta be worth it
Me, breaking my back to make THEM money, and building THIER NAME, was the reason i became my own boss.
I’ll probably never make millions, but I know I’ll never NOT eat.

CRISIS AVERTED 2 years so far. i dont want it to come across as i’m LLC, Scorp, brick and mortar style self employed. i’m just a tile contractor. i didn’t even do the fictitious business name route. i’m just ‘eddie the tile guy’. but after 14 years of making other people money..... it was time to make a change. now, all of my business is word of mouth, and i haven’t had so much as a week off in the last 2 years!!!!! i stay busy, and really enjoy the freedom to do jobs on my own schedule.
