The highlights don’t give justice to the dogged determination of the Newcastle side who never showed any negativity. They tried to play the game until the 80th minute.
Credit to both sets of players, Trinity were professional and showed Newcastle respect while the Thunder players never gave up and kept battling to the end. Newcastles players need to treat this Cup as an extended tough pre season and not let their heads drop as there are better days to come for them
No need to be defensive we all knew it was a mismatch, Trinity can only play who's put in front of them. Hopefully the young Newcastle lads learnt something from this that can be positive for them in the future.
@@stoneagepig3768 I just get frustrated at the negativity from RL fans when these lads play for each other and put bodies on the line. Yes our club has had some turmoil due to an owner with no money and a season of serious disruption caused by Wigan associated staff but they can get better. Hey ho!
Don't listen to idiots pal, most never stepped one foot on a rugby pitch. The RFL are the problem (always have been) they shouldn't have allowed the owner to take charge if he had no funds. I played a few times for Wakefield district and schools when I was younger and we often played against the Newcastle equivalent, it's a shame that union has become the dominant code up there in recent years. RFL didn't do enough in the North east, but they've been rubbish for the stronger traditional heartlands in Yorkshire, Lancashire and definitely in Cumbria. If they'd done their job properly over the last 50 years the sport wouldn't have to be desperately trying to bring it back to the popularity of used to have
They went bust, came back with a bunch of lads who have only played University/academy level. It’s a baptism of fire yes but they don’t deserve to be sacked ya melt
Relentless fast deft passing and backing up in numbers, not seen that for years at Trin.
Respectfully look at the opposition. They won't do that for another 3 years either. Enjoy it hahahah
Long may it continue we are Wakefield Trinity let's go all the way ⚜🔴⚪🔵⚜
Keep building Newcastle Thunder come back stronger..

That comment might have some weight if it was 40 points...... but 110 is a bad performance all round, determination or not.
@@casualsports90 I don’t know if you were at the match but I think the Newcastle team did well under the circumstances. Men against boys!

And that ladies and gentlemen is what we call an old fashioned thrashing!
Damn that is an a** whooping 🤣🤣🤣
Great performance from the red white and blue utt
Thunder are now a team predominantly made up of under 20’s local lads . Trinity are a full time “championship “ team!

Play the ladies team 😮
Omg.. Wakefield Trinity forgot to take the foot off the gas. Embarrassing for Newcastle Thunder.
Young lads were Gateshead. Still they didn’t give in..
Do the Newcastle boys get paid to play? Serious question
Derelegate the other team to u15s🤣🤣🤣
poor blokes
Sack the whole newcastle team and hire an u13s squad
