Interesting. I hope that you will show it later. Well, my first contact with Nazareth was back in 1975 or 1976 when I picked up Razamanaz in a record store and asked if I could have a listen. The opening track blew me away, and the rest of the album is solid. That is my favorite still to this day. Yours?@@martinsvinyl1985

Some nice choices here, Martin. Love that Taj Mahal debut. The follow up is even trickier to find. 'Unconditionally Guaranteed' was the first Beefheart album (on tape!) I owned. 'Moonbeams & Blue Jeans' I had but lost. My least favourite by them. I got that Yvonne Fair for 50p in a charity shop: sound investment. Your vinyl quality question is an intriguing one. Even 50s records sound better than most contemporary pressings in my view. The bottom fell out of quality control many moons ago.

Very good selection indeed, Ann Peebles is one of my favs, I have ‘I can’t stand the rain’ I’m still after her other album ‘straight from the heart’. Iv listened to a huge range of jazz records from the 50s and I have to agree they sound fantastic compared to some records coming out today. 👍👍👍👍👍

It’s such a damn good record and Jesse Ed Davis is phenomenal all throughout it. LA Woman is my favorite Doors album though! Hi Martin, great video as always. Picking the US over England is brave - might have to confiscate your Zeppelin & Sabbath albums! Making Movies on the swirl is a cracker! I'll keep a look out for Betty Davis albums. Hope you see you sometime in the usual place this year.

Yes hopefully see you soon as my schedule has now change as I used to work every other weekend and now should be able to get out to the fair more. ✌️

I’d have to say the 70s, recording technology grew by leaps and bounds and there was an explosion in the number of studios installing the technology so many more bands could take advantage. One of Rob’s devilish questions for sure. I’d wear a helmet to that dinner party😁. You’re the first Brit I’ve seen to pick the US. Tough choice, good one though. Hey, I watched that video with Bethany, gave it a big thumbs up. Highly recommend Academy Music in NY. Lots of restaurants and bars for your wife to enjoy while you crate dig. Happy New Year.

Love that Taj Mahal Lp. My copy bought this year was £6!!! Hard road is cracking. Their best album I think. Got a few LPs of Nazareth but need to revisit them. Lovely copy of their debut. It’s so annoying when bands don’t include their best tracks that were released as 45 on their LPs. Great response Martin. Cheers, Chris
Only £6!!! Were you looking for it? I agree with hard road. I would explore Nazareth again especially if you like ‘praying mantis’ Nazareth can at times be a bit heavier. Yes I need to do a bit more research before buying old LPs and make sure they have the track I like 😂
@@martinsvinyl1985 my local record shop. I buy lots there. Never expensive. I rarely pay over £10. Don’t think vinyl is worth more. I love it but it’s hopelessly overpriced often verging on a rip off. £10 is generally my limit. Generally £5 is my max.
