@@niclaswa5408 Thanks for watching! Those are fantastic hacks. I would recommend giving Super Zero Mission a try next, and if you liked Hyper Metroid I also highly recommend Super Duper Metroid!
Thanks for responding! I would’ve played more hacks earlier, but I need long breaks because I get burnout from the clunky controls and listening through the same tracks in most of the hacks. (I do love the soundtrack, but there’s limits to how much I can listen to it)
Would you ever consider doing a tier list of Zero Mission hacks? Really glad tou like Hyper, by the way! I see people increasingly not liking it as much in comparison to some newer greats, like Ascent and Super Duper
I would love to do a video on Zero Mission hacks. I haven't played any but I recently got myself a GBA everdrive and am excited to start downloading and playing them!
@@benox50 Thanks for watching, loved your hack Ascent! Yeah the reason I included AM2R was just because I thought my list was a bit short. I should have just waited bit longer to make this video because I played like 10 more hacks since then haha.

Super zero mission was my fav hack (I sunk 40 hrs into it with 78% item collection) I did a combination of blind and semi-blind play-through, deff worth it, I’m currently on my second play-through of Z factor (I got stuck trying to get into back way of maridia on 1st play and took a step back) I’m trying a different route on this new play-through of Z factor and this hack deff ties for my personal fav with super zero mission. I want to try the super short charge version of super zero next perhaps
@@matthewbilous6923 Nice!! Those are my two favorites as well. They are so well designed and very challenging. Both are over 10 years old by now and I think they still hold up very well! @@jikissgamer yeah I never found wrecked ship before maridia, I took the bomb blocks down into maridia without gravity you have to have near frame perfect jumps on frozen enemies over a sand pit with water physics and ‘sand water fall thingy’ physics, not too mention the frozen enemies pan off screen when you make your jumps from enemy to enemy so it’s a blind jump. After playing hyper metroid and subversion, are there other similar hacks that you'd recommend where the game isn't too difficult (but decently challenging) but the map is gigantic? Im not a great super metroid player and got turned off by the difficulty of redesign and impossible. I really like the hacks where you just explore. True. I just included it to increase the list.
So what is it then?
@@bakerrr333 its a fan game built from the ground up on its own code every asset in it was 100% created by the developer
