I have no words. These guys are adorable. And After all this years, their live performances are marvellous. They never have pushed too far a single thing, so today they can be fresh and... Sparkling.😆
Russell’s response to “good brother/bad brother” was spoken like a true younger sibling! I also love his advice about going onstage. Everyone should do it!
This is really an interesting interview. A lot is repetition from 20 others, but Russell had a chance to sit down, being as calm as I can ever imagine him. Telling how he personally felt before going on stage, and letting his charm out, showing not just one, several SMILES. Those smiles, why nearly ever on photos?? Something else showed as well, how the collected and a little withdrawn Ron suddenly had his crazy side popping up for a few seconds, whilst Russell let him take that second, smiled discretely before he, in a very collected way continued talking calmly. "Cool"😎 💖💖💖💖💖
You wrote "Russell had a chance to sit down, being as calm as I can ever imagine him." Well, that's the difference between an interview and a performance on stage. 😉 To me it seems like you don't believe that he (Russell) is a person who can be calm. Yes, compared to Ron he is extroverted, but that doesn't mean that he can't be calm. He rests in himself like Ron does, they only have different charakters.
@@girlfromgermany, Of course he can be calm, as everybody else! What I meant was that it's not so often shown, as you pointed out, we mostly watch him perform on stage. Where he shows a different side. I also wrote he HAD A CHANCE to be calm /relaxed, because this time he wasn't performing. 🙄
@@annabackman3028 Ah, ok. Well, perhaps I interpreted it like this because I personally watched or listened to many interviews with them, older ones and also new ones, because this year they can't travel around as usual.
@@girlfromgermany, 😁, What else can we do? Yes, he can be pretty calm in many interviews, more or less, so to speak. Sometimes he appears a bit distracted, on occasion a little overexcited, and, I can recognize myself in that, starts to say something but the brain jumps ahead and what one tries to say becomes somewhat confused. Such as in an interview together with Alex Kapranos about, among other things, the song 'Piss Off', and what it means. (Of some reason many people seam to have problems with that song!? I feel VERY connected to both that one and 'I'm Not' 😂!)
Sparks, like Queen, ELO, the Alan Parsons Project, and the Who ( think of their astonishing song "Baba O' Riley" ), is an incredibly original band. Hence it pushing the boundaries further away. The Mael brothers are Legends.

What lovely geezers ...look even cooler today !
Best band in the world. Anyone who disagrees is simply wrong.
Loving them for decades

What interviews where like this in your opinion? I'd really like to see / listen to these.

Love the brothers. Ron looks a little smaller than Russell here but he is actually taller.
Always loved Sparks
Fabulous!
Russell makes a good ventriloquist's dummy x
The Band Pet Shop Boys truly HATES
Ronald has had his teeth done 😁
?
If you refered to RUSSELL's broken tooth, that was done decades ago.
Ron's teeth are looking as ever.
